Arkandel's Playlist

Patrick's player is in tight with Spider, to the point where he's been her voice on many issues before so that she could appear to not be. Many other times he probably was not, but the fact remains that those were in the minority, in general perceptions.
Besides that, those diagreements that, many times were born from some problem Spider had with someone in which Patrick championed her led to him having chronic arguments with other players, many of which were instrumental in setting up SHH. Add to that that Patrick himself did things IC that other PCs were unwilling to let go and he didn't take that too well OOC...
Also some people just find his inability to express awareness of his character's archetypical (in fact charicaturistic) nature, and his insistence in portraying said attitude OOC as well as IC really fucking grating.

Patrick is a good faction head, but he is the fakest person I have ever met online.
-
Patrick, aside from anything he may or may not have done as faction head, etc, is an extremely off-putting person. I never did understand why people liked him. He's like those Christians you meet that are SO PERFECT. It's creepy.
Also, he has a cheer for himself. WTF. Who does that?

@Cobaltasaurus
Patrick is hilariously/maddeningly blind to his own ridiculousness. Work horse though.

I think this needs to be quoted here. You can't tease something like that without going all the way.
-
I have no idea what SHH even is. Does that mean I'm not one of the cool kids?

He literally had a Patrick cheer he would do during group Skype calls. Like, not really a Patrick cheer, but his player had a cheer for himself, though I'm not sure if he could really draw a clear line between him and his character so...maybe it was a cheer for both of them?
It was not, but was similar to 'Patrick Marine Corp ooo-rah rooting' tootin' awesome sauce punch you in the face...blah blah yay!' but was twice as long as that.
I am not making this up. It is unmakeupable.
ETA - He had the cheer memorized, because it was always the same.

I like what @Arkandel 's playlist has become. This amuses me greatly.

One could say the exact same thing about Spider.
-
@Cobaltasaurus We frequently do, though, don't we?

As of yesterday:
Eldritch: Daniel Darleth (Werewolf).

Why aren't you named August?

Because that's not my name! But also because family. It's a cool system on Eldritch, they're not like TR ones.

Mr. Entropy (Murphy) is my new Demon on Eldritch. Not being a person who often has alts I'm not sure how much he'll be played but we'll see.
It was pretty fun so far in the whole of one scene I've had him in.

@Luna I think the problem I had playing Patrick was that I got too into trying to make sure the Skype calls and OOC interactions on channel were fun, and took the 'freedom loving guy' thing to the extreme end of the meter; far enough out there it shattered and became a ridiculous and annoying parody of itself. I couldn't see it at the time, but with the hindsight of time and separation now I can. I apologize for anyone it grated on; to my own discredit folks did mention it to me but I couldn't see it at the time. The way I saw it then, folks cheered me on and by and larglye loved it (It being the 'acting as Patrick' part.) . Of course I couldn't appreciate then how much folks that didn't care for it REALLY didn't care for it and had reasons for this.
Anyway, for those that I annoyed (ignorance is no excuse on my side) I apologize. Our hobby is small enough and shrinking still that I don't want to contribute to the pile of folks that people avoid. I am truly sorry. I hate thinking I was that much of a friction point because of my actions.
I have been open on Fallcoast when I made my PCs and the newest one (Mage, Arrow) seemed to have a quick dispersal of folks from RP and chatting - so this was an abject lesson to be sure.
I'll take the props for Faction heading, I've been MU*ing since 1992 (@shayd and I started way back then on Shadowrun Seattle) and running the Arrows and Dunlins at the same time was probably the hardest amount of work I've had to put in.

@TMG Anyone with half a brain (and unfortunately around here that's rare) could see that you had passion for the game, and you genuinely are a Nice Person (again, stupidly rare around here). Fuck the haters. You are awesome.
-
@TMG , I just thought you had no interest or room in your play for anyone else. That was the impression I got as a player and as Staff (I wasn't anyone important as Staff btw). However, I only have half a brain dedicated only to hating so take that with a grain of salt.
