My Fitbit's Dashboard highlights the last week's "worst day" in shameful, sad red.

... There's always going to be a least active day in a week dammit! Even if you're an athlete who runs 40km a day, one day you'll run 39 - boom, shame! Unless I guess I make sure to take the exact same number of steps on seven consecutive days, in which case the entire week was bad I guess.

Amen. I hate seeing the sadness. I've run laps around the living room to try and rescue a day. Damn fat shaming Fitbit. I really wanted the Charge HR but my wrist is too tiny. The hard solid part extends past the side of my wrist and it doesn't work right.

@Luna My wife got me a Surge which is great but perhaps overkill for my current activities. Maybe once the weather gets better and I start cycling it'll be handy though - plus I hadn't actually worn a watch since I started carrying cellphones around, so that's cool.

And it can handle being on an elliptical, for which @EmmahSue hates and despises me forever.

@Arkandel I looooove the elliptical. I do that after I run because it's easy. I remeber when they made me want to die. The Surge is cool. I'm getting the Apple Watch to replace my Fitbit whatever thisthingonmywrist is.

I just hope I can transfer the credits Jesus gives me to a local university, so I can finally get a degree. Because, apparently, these days you need a degree even for innocuous things like stuffing envelopes. I am serious. A cursory look at any employment website will reveal this.

House hunting. The whole thing is one big peeve and I'm just renting. I wish I liked apartments, that's much easier. Why is the Zillow price different than the HAR price? Did you take your pictures with a magic camera because this is not the same house. The people next door to my bff are very nice people but damn I wish they'd move. I wish they would find a really nice house since they have 5 kids and a very very tiny 2 bedroom. 1,500 sq ft is just fine for me and my kid.

So a couple of weeks ago my Linux install on my PC ganked out. Okay, I had been messing with it a fair bit and was looking toward reinstalling anyway so whatever (although it could have died when I wasn't running a PrP at the time).

This morning it had issues again. Hrm. Odd. I try to reinstall it - IO errors. Well, maybe the SSD is dying on me, right? So I format it anyway, only this time after a boot fdisk doesn't even see it. Nice! Okay, dead drive. Let's install on the HDD for now so I can have a system? Nope! no joy. This sure is odd.

Only now not even the DVD drive will boot anything any more. Nothing better than a fried motherboard to start off a weekend, is there? But hey, at least I have this here crappy laptop to at least whine about it.

Oh god, dont let my computer hear you. Twice in two days it froze up and when i restarted it it wouldnt detect the boot drives. Got it working again after beating it into submission and finally getting it to load the install disc for a startup repair. Praying it's not gonna fry on me. Cannot afford any fixes right now.

Seems like there's a computer flu season or something. My monitor just decided to die on me. Weird yellow stripes all over the entire screen. At first I thought it was the graphics card, then I spent the day troubleshooting and trying to figure out HOW in the name of all that is holy I'm gonna manage to replace it. In the evening a friend came by and I plugged in the monitor just to check... It worked. Just fine. Like nothing happened. Aside from feeling relieved, I also felt majorly trolled.

My Macbook Air died. What a piece of crap, I can't believe it's dead after I spilled a drink right into it. Flimsy Apple stuff, it was only half a can of diet dr pepper after all.

I've had the same computer since 2008. Before that I had the same computer from 2001-2008.

I feel extremely lucky with computers. It also doesn't hurt that I buy the same brand/model every time I guess.

As for a peeve: Living in the goddamn back woods and having to pick up my online-shopping items from the post office, which is never open on the weekends. Curse you, Etsy.

My Toshiba laptop, which I've had just over a year, is already dying. The keyboard went out and now the fan/HD are starting to go. The ASUS I had before lasted me over five years, on two continents, and still works other than a limping graphics card.

Lesson learned: Buy ASUS. Do not buy Toshiba.
