@auspice Maaaaaaaaaaaaan... I want that game so bad. But I be a broke bitch til the 1st. XD
I had weekend plans fall through that I'd budgeted some money for, so I was able to flex some money around and I figured: 'This is the one game I keep coming back to and wishing I could play for the past six months. It's worth $8.'
-
@auspice I may try to con my man into buying it for me. XD I made some chorizo fundido that I can use for bribery.
-
@miss-demeanor @Auspice So... they remastered it for PS4 and XBox One. It's also out on the Switch, but it's a normal version, I think. Also a VR version as well...

I knoooooow. But I have no consoles.
I really, really want a PS4 and Switch, but see the whole poor/budgeting thing. -
PS4 is on sale this weekend, 1TB version for $199 on Amazon.

It's $189 at Costco with an extra controller thrown in, but I'd have to put it on a credit card and it's just... not fiscally responsible. Much as it's tempting.
-
I get you. I really want a Switch.

I am waiting for the Last Of Us 2 bundle. Which means I'm waiting for Last Of Us 2. Really, it's an excuse so that I don't go, "Hey, I just bought a new phone AND it's a Steam Sale AND Christmas AND oh hey let me just buy a new console and maybe something larger than a 24" display to play it on."
When I say "excuse" I mean "something to stop myself from binge-spending". I'm told this is a key sign of depression. It's been hard not to binge-spend recently, let me tell ya.
-
I haven't played the first Last of Us. I really want to.
But I feel you on the depression binge spending.
Except I know I'm depressed, so, uh.That's part of why it's so hard to fight that purchase. I actually just got the credit card this week. It's the first time I've ever gotten one. So it's also this like, big deal: my credit's finally improved enough from all the stupid medical debt to have a real line of credit. I have a credit card. It's cool.
...I shouldn't let depression talk me into blowing most of the (sparse, mind) line of credit on a PS4 that I'll then kick myself for having to pay off over the next, like, year because I am poor af.

Sanctum 2 is free at the Humble Store for the next 48 hours.
-
Fuck. 45 games on sale on my wishlist.
-
@auspice L.A. Noire is the only reason I still own a PS3 (That's a lie, Red Dead Redemption is also a reason, And Gran Tourismo but... anyways...)
-
The Last of Us. At least, it should be one of your games.

Quoting this because I only have one +1 to give.

I have not played it. I have heard good things but, money is what money is.

I will send a copy to you, if you'd like.
It's really that good. So good that I feel I have to spread the gospel.
-
Too bad you can't share digital copies. Mine is ignored.

THE BUREAU: XCOM DECLASSIFIED is free for the next 48 hours at the Humble store.

So apparently "A Cave Story" is only $11 right now.
2,300 reviews on Steam, Overwhelmingly Positive. It isn't as brutal as Castlevania: Symphony Etc., but it is a platformer in every sense of the word. I've only seen it via a playthrough, but even Yahtzee Croshaw loves it for a strong narrative and good gameplay.
Just sayin'.

@thenomain
A Cave Story for $11 is much better than X-Com Declassified for free.
