My earlier work anger has been made up for by receiving a bug from a user.

Apparently, for the Swedish version of the game client... in the 'license agreement,' it simply says:

      'Licensavtalet ska placeras hรคr.'

This translates to: 'The license agreement shall be placed here.'

This is probably my favorite bug report to have submitted, to date, guys.

An indie nail polish company I โค is making some hand lotions. Everything she does has geeky (usually punny) names. For a cinnamon bun-scented lotion, she's doing a naming contest.

      I submitted 'The Chosen Bun.'

It is currently leading the vote with 17 votes.
      The next name has 3.

I am very pleased with this.

The nonstop chatter about LARP is why I couldn't get into LARP in the first place.

Sometimes, I wanna hang out without talking about LARP.

Shit, this goes for Mushers too. I don't mind hanging out with MU*ers, but sometimes, guys, I really don't wanna hear about your character from a decade ago. Really.

The other great advice: if it's truly important, you'll "find the time."

A lot of people don't do things that they should. "I can't find the time" is my biggest lame excuse right now, even though I have logged over 20 hours in Wolfenstein: New World Order. Really, Theno? Can't find the time?

Depends on what the rest of your time has banked. 'Downtime' is vital, too. Your brain needs to unwind and relax. If you pack your entire day with work of some stripe or another, you will burn out.

I work full-time and am in school full-time. I am not, at all, ashamed of how many hours I am clocking before bed in Elite Dangerous. Mind you, it's like 2-4 hours a night. Could I be spending those 2-4 hours working on learning to code? Sure.

Am I? Fuck no. I already spend roughly 60 hours a week on other "work" items. Relaxation is vital for my health, too.

ETA: I did spend most of my day off in ED also. I managed to get homework done a lot faster than expected. Again, not at all ashamed. Relaxation is important. Be it hanging out, reading, etc. For many of us here, it's video games. You need to do things to give your brain a break from the hard shit.

Applied to extend / add on to the loan I have (and have about half-paid off) at a credit union.

Now to sit on pins and goddamn needles that they approve it. I got the original loan (which was twice what I'm asking for now) when my credit score was (marginally) worse and I was making less money. I've never missed a single payment. I've paid roughly $10/mo over the monthly payment.

...so they should want to extend it to keep me around right... right?

Fuuuuuuuck I need the money to make this move. Not least of all 'cause I don't wanna be homeless at the end of August.

In other RL anger related posts, (sorry for the double post), I woke up with a fucking horrible migraine and I don't want to go to work, but I have used up most of my PTO. So I have no choice. ๐Ÿ˜

That was yesterday for me. I just sat in the dark all cranky-fied. ๐Ÿ˜• Here's to an improved rest-o-the-day for you.

There could be a number of reasons?

      1. People didn't see your post.
      2. People like to stir pots.
      3. People might have been referring to your prior posts in which y'all were kinda being dicks to each other

There's a plethora of reasons but seriously there's no real reason either of you should've carried it on this long, but at this point... You're the only one who keeps on keepin' on. I get the frustration, ire, etc., but there reaches a point where you aren't going to get through to people.

Those people are going to bait you. That is their entire goal. And every post you make with a 2000 word count is another notch in their headboard. It's another win for them. Just walk away.

Job response was a 'No, but...' in an understandable way. The team lead (who was going to be interview #2) wants to fill the empty seat ASAP rather than waiting a month.

I get this, I totally do, and I do not resent them in the least.

So I was told: call us when you've moved and we will get you into an interview as soon as we have another opening.

I am okay with this. That is about as positive as you can get. That is being told 'We think we want you, but we want you to be signing paperwork as you walk out the door if we decide we like you.'

Damnit...I can't unhear, or unsee that now... Volbeat as Cher

I've listened to Volbeat and Cher songs back and forth and now the only thing I'm mad about now is how much Cher I've just listened to, but they sound completely different y'all.

What the shit are you guys smoking and why aren't you sharing?!

What I call my 'driving packet' is getting assembled today. I use my phone for GPS on the drive, but I like to have printed directions also for cases of no GPS signal (happens often through UT/CO).

Honestly, all that's left is packing and getting the last of the monehs together. (And giggling at Meg's knob polishing.)

      20 days.

To balance out the moping about the state of my body...

The concert was amazing. I've waited ten years to see Cloud Cult. I discovered them almost 10 years ago. 2008, they popped up on a Pandora station. That was, sadly, the last time they toured in the southeast and I was between jobs (recovering from a shoulder surgery) so I couldn't go.

The first half was them playing the score, live, to their movie (while it played). I cried, twice (the first time blindsided me; I hadn't even listened to that particular track in months).

The second half was a mix of their songs being played. Some I barely knew, some I know by heart. And the entire crowd on their feet, singing along. I have never, ever seen a crowd at a show that invested in the music. I am so used to seeing a mix of people at concerts; fans those there because 'it's a concert.' The Neptune theater is kind of an intimate venue to begin with, but everyone there from the couple in their 70s to the 10-year-old there with his mother... were fans.

But having the entire place singing Everybody Here is a Cloud will stick as one of the finer memories in my life. You know it's good when the band is grinning their ears off, too.

I may be in a lot of pain today, but I can't think of a finer send off before my move to Austin than that concert. โค

I'm in the last 9 months of my degree. It's officially hit the point of taking up a massive chunk of my time and focus.

I have less and less brain power to RP. And RP was already fitting that category of 'all I have time for outside of work and school.'

I'm afraid pretty soon it's just gonna be 'binge watching TV before I pass out asleep.' ๐Ÿ˜ž
Really hoping next class is gonna be one of the easy ones, but I doubt it.

Does your cat sit in super cute poses at the door?

      Mine is also shoulder trained!

Tho she prefers my lap, at all times, if possible.

She may not collect socks, but she is a string fiend.

She does fall for box traps.

She keeps me company when I game.

Tho she sometimes gets in the way.

      But lookit that smile:

Went out to my car to go to work today. Apparently the neighbor (has one of those super lifted up trucks) backed into my car and fucked the hood up. Now the son of a bitch won't even answer the door. I am considering calling the cops and reporting a hit and run shortly.

      You should.

I have to admit I get snarky as shit about free food at work. Not about what they serve, but just about it in general. But that is what happens when your company pays you 20k less than your regional/career average and then trots out free food as a 'look at all we do for you'!

      That's nice.

Well, that's a different line of snark. That's 'you're being shitheads about so-called benefits.'

Verizon would make us work on Thanksgiving and then give us high school cafeteria quality (barely) 'dinner' and pat themselves on the back for how 'well' they treated their employees!!!1

My snark then wasn't about the food. It was about making people work on Thanksgiving, giving them a really poor meal, and then bragging about themselves for doing so.

Whole different ballgame than 'Someone paid for food out of their own pocket and other people bitched about it'
