@Auspice @Auspice , wait you helped to run Ennersea! I remember that MU* (OMG I'd love to have the Supplimental Source book, if that GM wants to put it out!)

You should be able to Google for it. I forget where it is. One of the last webarchive dumps of the site, however: http://web.archive.org/web/20090723222752/http://www.ennersea.net/
The guy who started Eternal Crusade played on Ennersea. I seem to recall he raegquit with a "ROCKS FALL EVERYONE DIES" when a scene he was GMing didn't go his way.

I was Symphony on E2 and Tryssm (may be misspelled) on E1. 🙂

@Apu - seriously, don't feel bad. I wholly blame the guy who started the place, not people who came later. I was in a similar boat for a BSG game a couple years ago. Got invited on to Staff and once I saw 'behind the scenes,' I learned that the guy who started it (the guy, btw, that Lotherio has been mistaken for I believe!) stole the DB from Orion. 😞

This isn't the first time I heard that EC was based off of stollen content. Which game was stollen from?

Ennersea, a D&D game I helped run back in the early 2000's. The map EC uses is Ennersea's map, just modified slightly. A lot of the theme in the game was stolen from Ennersea and modified just in bits and pieces. The person who HeadWiz'd actually collected it all into a supplement book that she has copyright on. I know she was (but I think RL caught up) looking into a cease & desist for EC at one point.

Game of Kings guy is who I think he's being mistaken for.

I'm grateful to whoever drove Eternal Crusade in the ground because I have seethed at that game for a long time for stealing a lot of its 'theme' from another game.

@Auspice How about people chasing after ambulances/fire trucks with their sirens on to use them as a battering ram to go through traffic?

I rank them a bit higher in assholery than the people who honk their horns at those who do stop, but lower than the ones purposefully slowing the ERVs down.

A fire truck had its sirens on and was coming from the opposite direction so I stopped on my bike, other cars did... but this chick walking her dog who was about to cross the road turns at the sound, sighs at it then crosses deliberately, forcing it to stop completely. But it's okay I guess because she had a hurried pace on as she did it.

      What the hell, lady.

      Uggggh.

I recall one time seeing a car stay put RIGHT IN FRONT of a fire truck on an on ramp for the highway. Massive shoulder margins on either side, so it's not as if they had to. Going under the speed limit, too.

I just do not get people like that. It's like the mentality that keeps people from properly merging for shared on/off ramp exit lanes expands into 'I'm FAR more important than whoever that response vehicle is intended for.'

how do you even spoof this game?

      Relatively easy, actually.
      Download an Android emulator.
      Install PokemonGO.
Enable location/GPS spoofing (debug type tools).
Login to your PGO account, use the tool to 'walk around.'

The tools exist for developers, but people use 'em to cheat. The only time I've ever used them was back then Foursquare was a popular app and I liked the look of a badge they had just for checking in at SDCC that year. So I location-spoofed my 4sq login to get it. >.> Ahem.

The only stores I've ever forgiven for having Christmas stuff out before November are craft stores.

Because as a person who likes to make handmade stuff, esp. decor... You gotta start early because unless you have no job nor kids to take care of, that shit takes forever.

Niantic is doing a big, massive ban of people using spoofers, bots, etc.

      Cue follow-up "articles" of butthurt-dom in 3... 2..

I think re: being a dick, it's... shit, there's a term for it. My brain is coming up with 'care shaming,' but I don't think that's it.

But yeah, people think it's A-OK to butt in on other peoples' business out of "concern."

TBH I'm surprised the lady didn't go 'SOME PEOPLE have allergies,' because that's how it usually comes out.

Fake food allergies are the worst. I've known so many people in the restaurant industry. And people who pull the 'I'm allergic to onions' just to make sure they don't have onions in their food? Absolutely fucking self-centered assholes. Kitchens go through SO MUCH effort when they hear 'allergy' to make sure everything is safe.

Based on those rumors, I know who people are confusing you with.

And I can confirm, for anyone reading this: he is definitely not.

Lotherio is awesome. I had a great concept on Strife in the Age of Steam, but between some RL issues and the fact that when I was able to be around, no one else was... alas. If it's ever revived, I'd love to pick my char up again.

I will say that Niantic is very very very against spoofing. The instant they find out, you are banned and it's for life. No coming back, ever.

So like most new games... They'll improve tools for finding the cheaters and oust them.

The site for Pokemon Uranium was down when I tried yesterday.

I'm currently level 16 in PGo. Working from home, having no car, and health issues sorta limits my going outside and being active.

This isn't so much anger as...

So, I ran out of my anti-inflammatory and I've called the doctor about a refill (I misread, thought I had another month's worth). She hasn't gotten it into the pharmacy yet, so I've been without for a few days.

Oh dear god I will never again doubt that it 'actually works' (Naproxen variants never have, so I have to be on other kinds and I've been on the fence whether this one is actually helping and... yes, yes it has).

I'll pay $5-10 a month on an app I use regularly. I think I've spent about $10 overall in PGO so far. Mostly on expanding my backpack because, uh. I seriously haven't yet run out of Pokeballs. I've even thrown some out before because my bag was full. >.>

But I had a similar thought. 'I've spent $20 in Starbucks in a week before' (that particular week, I did also pay for a friend) 'so why can't I spend $10 in a game where it'll last me?' Wasn't a difficult stigma for me to get over. You adapt to it when you get things like tattoos. ($100? For something that'll last the rest of my life? Shit, I've spent that on a fancy dinner.)

@Auspice It's a Canadian thing. The tag line is "It tastes awful, but it works!". Been making it since 1919 so no sugar, and it starts out like you are drinking a pine tree.

      Oh but does it work!

So UNLIKELY to find it here. Won't say impossible. I'm in rock-throwing distance of the border just about. Never know what might lurk somewhere.

But I'm such a fan of Nyquil, I'd probably not go for the curiousity anyhow.
