    • RE: MUs That We Would Love To Make (But Won't)

@arkandel said in MUs That We Would Love To Make (But Won't):

Here's a question, while we're just shooting the shit (*).

Which original TV series would actually make for a good MU*? How would you set it up?

I'd love to see one based on Arcane, with the dichotomy between Piltover and Zaun. There is so much that is happening in that world, I don't think it would require the show's characters to be more than NPCs used to announce plot things occasionally. If they're even needed, it could transpire before the show starts, or during the 7 year time skip.

@cobaltasaurus You can go get titers tests for immunizations. School records are destroyed after 6-7 years in most states. http://requestatest.com will let you order from LabCorp, which has testing sites all over the place. Just type in the disease and "titers" and it should come up as an immunization or titers test.

    • RE: Which canon property/setting would be good for a MU* ?

I'd love something based on the former SyFy show Defiance. It seems ideal for a MU* setting, a single location, with tons of different types of characters, agendas, politics, war, etc. Plus tons of social stuff.

@auspice The best red I've ever had (again universally flattering) was not at all cheap but it is the glorious lipstick worn by Agent Carter herself. https://besamecosmetics.com/products/red-velvet-lipstick

I've played with Ixokai on and off across many, many games over the years, and he's always been kind, funny, and brilliant with coding. This is a loss to the whole community. My deepest condolences to his friends, family, and loved ones, and to everyone here who knew him.

@Ghost I don't think that'll happen. I think the rights revert to Toho after KvG 😞

The only thing that ever worked for me when I had growing pains as a kid was Vitamin E gelcaps. An inexpensive option that has many other uses if it doesn't help with the cramps.

@Auspice Cynthia Erivo is magnificent. I really, really enjoyed the Outsider, and I hope they pursue more of Holly's stories.

@Coin Also to Matt Ruff's credit, he is incredibly enthusiastic about the adaptation. In an interview he said: Well, I’m not the person who turned it into a show—it was the showrunner, Misha Green, who did that. I gave Misha my book, my notes, and my blessing, and then I got out of her way, which has proven to be an incredibly smart decision on my part. I’m thrilled with the series. It’s very faithful to the spirit of the novel, while not being afraid to change things up and take the story in surprising new directions. I couldn’t have asked for a better adaptation.

@Warma-Sheen Just note, Wayward Sisters would have done fine outside of Supernatural. Jodi and Donna are absolutely beloved by the fanbase. CW literally loathes most female leads though, and they bailed on it without even giving it a chance saying "bloodlines" had a better shot creatively then bailing on that as well.

@Warma-Sheen It wasn't a pilot. It was a regular Supernatural Episode that was meant to be a "backdoor pilot" for the new series. No actual series ended up being ordered.

Free coffee, bottled water, sodas, and snacks. In tech support this was essential and kept us fueled all day, without costing us part of our paycheck. The free "scoop your own" ice cream, cappuccino maker, and popcorn machine were a bit over the top.

    • RE: I need a place to live

I am considering selling my house in Georgia and moving back to the Niagara Falls/Buffalo area to be closer to family. If it ends up coinciding with your need to move, I will hopefully have a small house with a guest room you could rent. I do have a cat and two dogs though, and although the pups are great with the cat and vice versa, the cat was not remotely ok with a kitten I found in the road and brought in for a brief few hours to try and find a shelter.
