    • RE: Celebrities that are Dead To Us

@ganymede I do not think Franken is in the same pool as Cosby or Trump, and I haven't seen anyone else say that in this thread. It is also true that accepting responsibility and whatever consequences come is a mark of character that I feel puts Franken well above Cosby or Trump.

      That said...

He did it. He felt that this was alright to do, he did it, and his accepting responsibility did not come about until it broke as national news. He's still heavily tarnished, and I will not fault anyone for being more affected by the allegations made against Franken (as compared to, say, Trump) because he held more esteem in their eyes and therefore this comes as more of a shock. It affected me more, personally, because I had more respect for him and some of that respect was absolutely misplaced.

They don't have to be the same levels of wrongdoing for people to feel like gagging and backing away quickly from any of those who've had these stories come out.

@Cobaltasaurus He might not have but Zoe couldn't resist them and it damn near got her killed (and then, later on, another one kept her from actually dying, ha!). I loved that card deck. 😄

    • RE: Re-Igniting Playspiration

The only thing that's ever worked for me is to get the inspiration for some new project to chase. I need for my characters to have tangible goals, something which drives them. Once I succeed at something if I don't come up with something else pdq, the chances for my shiny flash of inspiration involving a totally new and different character goes through the roof.

    • RE: L&L Options?

For me it's the potential for the combination of high adventure with high romance with a gloss of formality and ritual, and the (admittedly slim, usually) potential for actual political maneuvering to better one's position. Does it usually work out that way? Not so much. But the hope remains.

Sometimes, monogamy is the easy route even if I'm not always a huge fan (cause commitment is terrifying).

Monogamy is what I fall back to because I cannot be bothered to be polite or civil to more than one person in the span of a day.

Also, Caryatid's alts are so cute.

99% of my characters are slow and/or reluctant to enter relationships, and are not monogamous-brained (because of my extensive library of horror stories).

100% of my characters are super cute, it's true. Even the deadly ones.

    • RE: Interest Check: Single Sphere VtR Game

@DnvnQuinn We aren't looking to recreate RfK. We do think that on paper they had a lot of good ideas there and we believe that there need to be more games out there incorporating some of those ideas.

      @mietze ❤

@Bobotron Yeah, we are most worried about being three niches into an already small niche. On the one hand, a game like this seems to work best when you're dealing with a slightly smaller player based. On the other hand, some level of critical mass is needed to keep things fresh and dynamic, especially in a setting where a lot of the action centers around character agency and the choices they make on the political playing field. So that is something to consider.

Another concern is absolutely the staff load, which is why we would like to automate as much as possible. I served time on RfK as staff and the workload was immense. Automated bloodpools for territory for use with +hunt code. An automated territory system that allows you to patrol, investigate, buff your own territory, and infiltrate and degrade others.

I'm digging the Brood suggestions! I haven't read that material but on the list it goes.

@Lisse24 If I had my way there would be five of these sorts of games out there already. 😉 Thank you! We'll for sure keep that in mind if/when we progress to that point.

I said it felt more like an actual world to me. Not that the developers' goal was to create a real life setting. I was speaking from my personal perspective. I am not staff there. Etc etc.
