From a coworker, who refused to get vaccinated: "For anyone who has been around me the past 2 days I am at UAB and just received a positive result for COVID"

I'm delivering a pizza to the Children's of Alabama... And the woman who ordered it is in another city. She's ordering it for her grandchild who has been in child ICU since Sunday with covid:/

RE: Birmingham: The Entangled City (BhamMu*)
I've been taking pictures of Bham as I go about my business... And there are some gorgeous places here (I need to get a good shot of Northside downtown with all the tall buildings).
And then...
We have this:
Which is right next to:
Clearly haunted. Both of them.

Beg to differ. But I can clearly choose to be Unentangled in character creation.
I'm leaning towards only having NPCs be Unentangled, but because of how character creation works in Ares it'll seem like an option. I just need to go in an make a note of "No Unentangled PCs".
I'm never 100% against mortal like characters in most games, but I think in this setting they don't make sense. Since any time anything supernatural happened they would either become Entangled or they would forget entire scenes.

And tbh I don't know if I still have a job or not, but I'm sitting in my car shaking. Pissed.
Just call the SM.
I went above SM to the regional person for our small franchise. Which, ironically, I told the Manager on Duty today I was already doing and got told, "He doesn't care about you" by her.
He told me he would handle it, but God only knows what that means.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
So there is a building here where I work. Which is mostly poor and elderly residents. It's got about 15 floors, two tiny elevators. They don't enforce social distancing in the elevators.
One time when I delivered to this place, I got hit with a piece of fried chicken because two people were arguing and one of the participants followed me onto the elevator. I wasn't really upset, it was low on my leg and it was kind of funny.
Not funny was the time two men followed me onto the elevator, and one of them started telling me how fine I was. How much he liked my outfit (my uniform), and then started rubbing my arm, my side, my hip. And wouldn't stop when I stepped away from him, and then kept rubbing my arm when I moved the pizza bag to block access to my hip and side.
When it happened I reported it to my store manager (SM) and said I wouldn't deliver there anymore and if I had to then the customer would have to come down to meet me in the lobby. SM has supported me and backed me on this 100%. There was one time that a run for that place came up and I refused to go. And one of the AMs snarkily told SM "Oh she said she couldn't go there for some reason or another IDK that's why that run is so late".
To which SM said, "Yes she's right there was an incident, it's fine."
Today, however, the girlfriend of the above mentioned AM is running shift. An order for that place comes up, I try to explain to her I can't take it. She makes me. Tells me to call the customer and have them come down.
The customer agrees to. I get there. Give them their food. Accidentally drop something as I'm giving them the boxes. The security guard start jumping my ass, telling me I need to go up, the lady starts complaining that she didn't want to come down, etc.
I try to explain, they won't let me get a word in. So I just leave. One of the guards follows me out and takes a picture of my car as I'm leaving.
They call the store. Manager on duty tells me, "I understand where you're coming from but it doesn't matter. I'll get in trouble because you didn't go up. And I didn't know that she tipped. She's elderly. How old was she? You should have gone up."
I tell her it doesn't matter that the lady tipped. No amount of tip is worth my safety and get told, "You can't keep doing that."
"Yeah, actually I can." I responded because I'm not putting myself at risk for a 10% tip. $5 isn't worth my life or the chance of being assaulted again.
"Don't get smart with me. You don't deal with customer complaints. I do." Was the response.
I clocked out and left. And tbh I don't know if I still have a job or not, but I'm sitting in my car shaking. Pissed.

Other than specific spells how so?
You know folks are going to want to create their own spells. I figured that you'd allow that, with staff approval. And that means that staff's going to be working on balancing what effects a player wants against some standard.
I could be wrong.
Oh, yes. That is one of the features I want. I haven't gotten to "how to make new spells" though.
But I think people are seeing "magic" and "spells" and going to Mage: the Whatever, and that is 100% not the game I'm wanting to run.
I'm wanting Mortal+ not mage. There won't be Mages and Non Mages, it's not that kind of game.

But, yes, it will need an awful lot of staff oversight, it looks like.

RE: Birmingham: The Entangled City (BhamMu*)
Almost a month later and I have finally finished the alpha sketches of how magic will work on BhamMu. I'd be happy to get any feedback people want to give me.

RE: RL Sads
Every year just keeps getting worse. I'd like to go back to 2020 now, please. Maybe even 2019. Or maybe, really, I would just like people to stop dying. Please.

RE: Bad TV
The Irregulars on Netflix. I couldn't finish it. Also, back off of my Black Summer. >:P It's meant to be bleak.

Arise, Chicken!
I'm working on this again. If anyone would like to help me, especially with the building part, please let me know. :] Today I poked at the magic stuff again. Starting to work on the Wild Magics.
