Aww, thank you.
And I suspect you're not just nobody. You're probably awesome.

So I'm not the only one who found CE to be impenetrable?
Not only that, but incredibly boring outside of the tournaments.
I had a character that was supposed to be a mover and a shaker in a political marriage. I was looking forward to scheming with my PC husband. He just wanted to pat me on the head and tell me to make babies.
I'm sorry your mover and shaker turned out to be a broodmare in disguise.
EDIT: I recommend Arx if you wanna give the political mojo a try. It's in alpha and there's a learning curve, but there's systems being implemented which can make you actually useful on that front.

Yeah we never did get to the scene between Lillian and Antonia. Oh well.
I'm sure we'll run into each other again eventually! In Arx. When my sleeping schedule is somewhat normalized.
Because why not
Past Haunts
Firan: Seren Dilarik, Accalia Cyrani (for about a month), Zeshira Delphinus
Eternal Crusade: Stellan d'Tremaine
Creation's Edge: Lillian l'Valdan (not for very long)
Realms Adventurous: Rowan de Wylye, Cordelia de Pitton
Haven: Lex WhoslastnameIforgotalreadybutitwasreallygeneric (for about two weeks)
Current Haunts
Arx: Silas Mercier
(You might notice I have a type.)
I've knowingly slept through earthquakes here in CA. If it ain't at least a 4 it ain't nothing special.
EDIT: 5.6 eh? not bad
That rule is one of the rules you can't really pretend you were unaware of; if he deliberately ignores it and encourages others to do the same, then it's a pretty big problem. The rest of it doesn't really matter, to me.
And it's a good rule. Since the resources given via completed tasks is more valuable than the actual currency in the game, I think it's pretty tempting to abuse the system and become a monster in harassing players to get tasks done FOR THE BETTERMENT OF TEH HOUSE. Which is decidedly not-fun.
EDIT: also you probably shouldn't be casually completing rating 75 tasks (currently the highest in the game) in alpha when it's specifically for big, long-term IC projects anyway.

In my first scene on the game, you urged me to do something that was against the rules. You even said we weren't supposed to so you knew it was wrong but you said I should anyway.
Which rule was it? It's for science
You can go above 3 in chargen. Got a character in chargen reserve that has a 4.
It's pretty much a crossover between forum posting/screenplay/card game, with the cards being character strengths/talents you use versus challenges.
I've been playing on it for about a year now but it's not really exciting or innovative enough for me to renew the subscription, really.
It usually depends on how confident I am when approaching a game.
If I have friends there, or if I know the theme well, I'll play a character I want to get into. If I'm trudging into foreign territory, I will focus more on a character who can involve themselves in the setting so I can learn more about it and they don't have to necessarily have a well-detailed background or personality.
All my current haunts are now tournaments and tea parties and I would literally play the shit out of anything else.
Thing is, there is no bonafide, 100% guaranteed way for staff to determine all these characters AREN'T played by different people. She could simply say she's not them; she does change IP addresses (I know because I have asked a staff member about it... and she then confessed she was both characters months later). Then it'd just be my intuition versus their own.
Thankfully this was not on Realms Adventurous; I just gave them a heads' up when a potential alt conflict cropped up. I will again if it happens again.
She doesn't do it to stay anonymous. At least not entirely.
Like I said, she has done borderline iffy stuff. It's "borderline" because it's more rude than actually against the rules; pretending to drop out of a scene due to supposed connection problems only to log onto another alt to ask for RP from other people, dropping plotline commitments just because she isn't interested any more (she suddenly lost interest in running a tournament once her alt was eliminated and couldn't attain the grand prize any more - she logged into another alt when another event was supposed to be scheduled), and a myriad of other weird things (romantically involve several alts with the same character for dramaz).
So, yeah, no.
My house had two players with three/four alts, one of whom I know uses several different wikidot accounts to skirt around alt rules and I warned the staff about (since she has done borderline iffy stuff in another MU* between alts, which does have a stricter alt limit), sooo... you can probably count them on two hands.
Not sure how you actually stop that, though.
Uh, who was locked out and why again? I am confused.
Never really played a game were an elaborate, several-tiered family tree was innately important to politics. It's mostly flavor fluff.
Pretty much knowing who the next dude in line was all that was required, really.
@BetterJudgment dinged my name here and I was all like "WTF I never post here..." but apparently I do.
I can safely say after dealing with the old set of staffers versus Mycol the latter is definitely more laid back and more comfortable with letting characters have actual freedom to do what they wanna do, and that @Ide assumption seems pretty on the mark with how the previous staff came off in general. I mean, it got to the point where you had to go to a staffer to make sure you found a family which fit your character concept so the precious family tree that was being set up wasn't slightly off or something... and I think names were decided for some people (who probably smelled the micromanaging craziness and fled shortly thereafter).
I can see Mycol being busy and unintentionally brusque, but he's not anal-retentive.
And yes, the wiki bothers me and it's taken some willpower for me to not complain about it because we don't even follow some of those dumb rules any more lol. Particularly the new (but supposedly old) rules about lethal combat which were implemented shortly before the banned staff members were kicked out (and only added after a staff character bit the dust - but of course didn't actually because of them)... which we have never followed since. There have been several characters who have not produced logs for months and they're still around, too... not sure why because I would think they would have gotten bored by now but whatever.
EDIT: And we need more Northerners dammit.
Dutch, Scottish, and French as far as I know.
Super white in other words.
My first and last name also match my supreme whiteness.
I liked FiranMUX's multi-generational theme that made child objects and family somewhat relevant.
I liked their crafting code and pretty colors.
The combat wasn't terribad, though the xp system was.
I liked the fact that I befriended a bunch of overseas players because I stayed online into freakish hours of the night/morning and I got to learn some small things about their culture. Like how most commercials they showed me were longer than 60 seconds and were sad
And that's about it. I liked the code and the more fringe playerbase.
