It is.
Like, it brings me to tears thinking about it.
It’s worth the 52 episode investment, even knowing the ending.

(Sadly, a lot of things 'wrong' with me, come from parental abuse. And my therapist left my insurance network before Covid hit, so I'm flailing)
I know I'm a fangirl, but this may help a little. (Spoilers alert.) It's nice to see the subject of parental abuse treated so cogently for a younger audience.

I thought there was just something /wrong/ with me.
The Wisdom of She-Ra:
Sea Hawk: I mean, just once I'd like to hang out with Mermista and her friends. I'm good at groups! I have excellent stories of derring-do! Why don't they want me around? [rests head on hand]
Scorpia: [sighs] Oh, I hear ya. Catra's been so busy since she got promoted, but she still always expects me to make time for her. Does she even understand how much I do for her?!
Sea Hawk: Exactly! It seems like ... the only time anyone wants to hang is when they need me to give them a ride, or do something for them.
Scorpia: [groans] Ugh, tell me about it. Catra once used my rock hard exoskeleton as a nail file. [voice cracking] I even had to buff!
[Sea Hawk begins to laugh slowly, then more vigorously, and Scorpia laughs, too]
Scorpia: [sincerely] Is there...something wrong with us?
Adora: [slowly, slightly slurring] You know ... you guys are really great. You're just, like, the best. You're good friends, and good people. [slaps her arm around Scorpia's shoulder; squeakily chuckling] And I like you ... you are so pointy! [taps at Scorpia's shoulder spikes]
Sea Hawk: You know what? She's right. We are really great. [confidently] I'm clever, roguishly good-looking, and a top-notch sailor. [hops onto a container] I don't care if anyone else thinks I'm cool. I don't need their opinions to validate me. [shouts] I'm Sea Hawk!
Scorpia: [confidently] And me? I am brave, strong, [hugs Adora, still attached to her shoulder] give great hugs, and I'm loyal. [sits Adora down; to Adora] You may have left Catra, but someday, she's gonna see that I won't. [grows in volume] I'll always be there for her, because that's who I am!
Adora: [claps enthusiastically; happily] Yayyy!
(My point: there's nothing wrong with any of you.)
Just in case you all missed it, Sony pulled the game from its store. For both consoles. Until it is fixed. And it is giving refunds, which Sony will no doubt demand some compensation for from CDPR.
Regardless of the reviewers, the complaints were bad enough that Sony, of all companies, took unprecedented action.
Your experiences and opinions may vary, but some huge profit-driven corporation thought it was bad enough to give refunds and pull the product.
Here's the thing, though: this isn't uncommon. What matters, though, is that the CEO not only promised it wouldn't happen but later downplayed how bad it was.

I don't disagree. But setting the bar high enough to refuse most comers ensures that most of the apartments are vacant and ready to get new paint/carpet/whatever.
You can refuse to lease if you intend to renovate. So simply deny renewal and do your upgrades. Coming up with paper-thin excuses is a good way to get your ass handed over to the local fair housing agency.
@derp said in Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.:
It sounds to me like they're preparing for a buyout, but can't refuse housing so they just set the bar up impossibly high in order to get around federal housing regulations.
It sounds to me like they are unbelievably stupid if their plan is a buyout.

We just don't cause trouble. We're boring introverts who stay in and play video games and try pinterest recipes.
As I said:

Assuming they're not problem tenants, and for the purpose of this argument we'll assume that, what's the only reason a landlord has to get rid of non-troublemaker renters? Money. He can probably raise the rent a lot more than he can justify for an existing renter.
This is a reason, yes. But in the time of COVID where landlords are struggling to have paying tenants it is a very stupid reason.

I admit, I've been thinking of doing something super not-cool. Like moving my bestie in and putting her on the lease as my partner. Then after a month or so, the other roommates would move out. Because apparently, since they are already on the lease, they don't have to re-qualify, or some shit.
The problem may be whether your current roommates would be remaining as co-tenants. I'm not entirely sure of the facts here, but then I'm not entirely sure why your landlord is being a butt. I think it might have to do with COVID-19 and the CDC's order, but that's just stupid.
I'm a lawyer. We're supposed to be essential. But not all of us have to deal with criminal stuff.
I'm a parent. Having to juggle my work life with teaching the kids at home has been challenging. But I can work from home, so that makes life far easier than for others who can't. Plus, I actually have a teaching degree.
I keep busy. I got the COVID, but I recovered. I have a pair of kittens to deal with. I just finished wrapping gifts. I suppose life is easier for us 'burbans.
I wish I had something pithy to say, but I don't.
Please endure.
I vote for every single damn tax levy for schools on the vain hope I suppose that with better salaries comes better vision in management.
Honestly, time to find a new place.

I see them all the time, but what Walmart carries is super regional. It even varies city to city. Like, I can find certain things in my walmart for for other stuff I have to go to the next town over.
Truth.
Also, appropo of nothing, I got my Elita-One figure from Takara Tomy's WFC Earthrise line.
I think the topic is very unironic on a thread regarding the forum’s interest in a dystopian game.

MUSH commands certainly have a learning curve, which can be daunting for new players.
You also bring up "inertia" in the hobby, and that's also an issue. I no longer feel awkward typing "bbread <board number>/u" to look at all of the unread posts on <board number>, but I can understand if others do.
Like everything, there's a bit of a learning curve and reward if you take some time to walk it.
They sell them where I live in the States.
I’m salty about the lack of ketchup chips.
