The little sociopathic dick in my son's first grade class. I tried having empathy for him (perhaps he's got some behavioral issues or extenuating circumstances that cause him to try to stab other kids or shove them into walls), but then I saw that his non-handicapped mother parked her car every day in the handicapped lot at school. The one with signs posted stating that it is not a drop off/pick up spot, and that it is reserved for handicapped people and our crossing guards. And that she got pissed when she got caught by city parking enforcement. Because that shit just don't apply to her entitled self.

Guess where your dick kid learned his dick behavior from, lady? And the next time he undermines my parenting with my kid ('you mom said not to throw ice? well, lets just go to the hidden doorway and do it!') you will have yet another parent reporting him to the administration.

Because hedgehogs are awesome. And also because IRL I keep my hair about an inch long and glue it into spikes.

You did notice that I put single quotation marks around 'winning', right? Whether or not it is possible to win a MUSH, people will certainly play in a manner that suggests that they think they are. See: every crazy, super-statted anything ever, for no other reason than the player thinks that by having the most toys (or toadies) ever, they are winning.

So then we run into a situation where only the people who can pay get the perks? What happens to the people who can't afford it (there are still college kids who play these things who have extremely limited disposable income)?

I would rather any charitable efforts be separate from the game. What's to stop someone like me, who can afford all sorts of stuff, from just making a massive donation and 'winning' everything? Regardless of where the money goes (which you know can't be totally vetted), it's still an unfair advantage over the other players, who have to get to the top the old-fashioned way: by currying favor with staff and getting all kinds of perks under the table.

Skotos also did this. Lots of complaints about them on past incarnations of WORA.

@Karmageddon I have fibromyalgia and they were still able to do everything laprascopically, so maybe there's hope for you, too!

@Karmageddon If you're lucky, you'll just need the endoscopy to flush out any transient/blockage causing stones, and your gall bladder isn't chock full o' them. I am not sure how well an ultrasound can gauge how many stones are in the bladder, though.

That said, if you have thyroid issues, they can also affect the gall bladder.

My recovery's been pretty good, so far. The worst pain was the first week post-op; things have been healing up nicely since then. Worst food reaction was orange juice, for whatever reason.

Chicago/the Midwest. I know it's been used for Dresden and Anitaverse games, but I have yet to see a good WoD game take place there. It's not like there aren't beaches on Lake Michigan, or suburban forests, or transit or ethnic enclaves and universities.

Emergency gallbladder surgery. Emergency gallbladder surgery the day before my birthday that causes me to miss both it and Thanksgiving. And now, recovery combined with sinus infection.
