@auspice Oh. Whoops! Also use per person, or use in general? Because I did it on Thomas once, then decided not to, but I had walked him halfway across the hospital at that point, then came back again later to kill him.

@Tinuviel I always try to do as much of the everything in my streams as I feel my viewers won't get bored. My full stream name is Moiren Magpie, and my logo is a stylized purple magpie (because they are blue IRL). My custom emote is a magpie so people can spam it when I get distracted by shinny things. Also people like my voice, so I read everything. (So much so that playing Batman I had someone complain I was reading too much and not Batmaning enough.)) So if there is something to read that shows me how he knows I'm a vampire I just haven't seen it yet.

@tinuviel And yeah, I fully admit that since I'm streaming, sometimes I'm talking about things over some conversations, so I might miss something, but at the same time I hope I didn't miss either outting myself, or someone else outing me as a vampire. Especially since the patient who thinks she is a vampire I'm all "Oh shit, she could draw attention here!" mission.

Tangent: Does anyone know if you kill a merchant you will get all his stuff?

Also, do we ever learn to pick locks?

How do I get my mezmerize up? There are people who need killing that I can't yet!

@tinuviel But they aren't though. The whites are white. My eyes are red like the guy who go his eyeball tattooed, except instead of blue ink, they are red.

And I can't really complain because the mortician knows I'm a vampire... but I never told him, and I don't think anyone told him so maybe someone did notice my eyes and knows?

But he also talks to dead people, like he goes behind a locked door and apologizes to the bodies he keeps back there, and one of the patients thinks he's a vampire... so maybe he has an extra thing for the dead? Or thinks everyone is dead?

But other vampires don't have these weird red eyes.

So I found a mission but failed it right away but I already killed the guy so no mission for me. So uh... kill people after you do their missions?

I'm having a blast playing, but I really think the writers played a lot of Vampire when they were younger.

So, there's a new game out where you play a doctor in Victorian London, returning from World War I, who is promptly turned into a freshly minted vampire. He gets embroiled in supernatural skullduggery, and has to establish connections with his neighbors and such during the course of the game. It has a really very unique mechanic that pits gameplay directly against story in an antagonistic relationship. Essentially, in order to gain "XP" type stuff, you'll need to feed on your fellow Londoners, thus killing them. This allows you to get points to purchase skills and grow stronger. You can avoid doing this altogether, and play the game, but you will progressively find it harder and harder to advance because you're just woefully underpowered.

The other side of this is that the characters are all very human. They have dreams and hopes and foibles and nuances. They all have their own lives and issues and essentially sidequests for you that allows you to discover who they are, and through that, make London better, and try to stave off the chaos and the plague that's sweeping the city. The trick is that... the more you progress with a character, the more XP you get for killing them, basically. But this also cuts their storyline short.

So you have to choose. Do you end a storyline short for quick burst of XP? And if so, then... deviously, the game has been designed in such a way that you have to humanize your meal to get the most out of it. It truly brings to the forefront the dichotomy of the Man versus The Beast struggle that is supposed to be at the forefront of themes in regards to WoD/coD vamp.

      I highly recommend this.

You can read a much more literate review here: Vampyr Review: The Story in Blood

One thing you forgot to mention, aside from the humanity of it all, is the health of the area you are in; the more people you eat, the less healthy an area is, and if you let it get too bad people will be openly hostile towards you. It also destabilizes the economy so merchants will charge you more, and give you less money. So if you do go the eating everyone route you make things a little more difficult on that end.

Also you get xp from doing story stuff, even just talking to people. And if you are really desperate for xp you know how rats give away that there is a hideout around? The hunters around your hideout also respawn each time you sleep. It's slow, but it is xp.

Peeve, my eyes are all red and evil why does no one notice this or care?

@auspice I actually was lucky and got it a month early to stream and show off. You wouldn't think it would be the sort of thing people would be interested in watching, but people really like it.

Finally got my cult to 3 people (including me), but that's a step up from forming a cult and loosing the second person through death or misadventure, and then being a cult of one. >.>

Yeah Amazon will set up a pre-order as soon as a game is announced, especially when E3 comes around, usually within a couple of hours. I have stuff on my wish list that never came out, but since they haven't been announced as canceled, they just keep pushing the date to Dec 31st of the next year.

@jaded From what I've been able to find, it is in house - Maryland and Austin.

And it looks like an online survival game, like Rust.

      So Fallout 76, huh?

(For those who don't know, 76 was mentioned in Fallout 3 and 4, and was meant to open only 20 years after it closed.)

I am streaming Detroit Become Human, and it's becoming a problem; I don't want to stop. I want to selfishly go on without my stream. I also want to go back right now and explore other options. I've done things and I feel bad. But they're androids, not people! I shouldn't feel bad!

      GAH!

Detroit Become Human is gorgeous all around; the look, the story, the sound design... it's a David Cage game though, so I'm waiting for some Mayan Internet prophecy so show up and get weird. Holding out for an android T-Rex, or maybe drowning in peanuts...

I stream daily on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/moiren), and am a Humble partner. This month Humble has partnered up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to unite gamers in a global fundraising campaign to end childhood cancer. The goal for Humble and all of the partners is $2,000 and my personal goal for the month is $250. I stream Monday to Friday for at least a few hours each day and will be accepting donations through to May 31st. The Humple Partners and friends page is https://tiltify.com/+humble-partners-friends/humble-partners-x-st-jude-play-live? where you can donate directly, or you can donate my page as well. Let's smash this goal and help getting kids better! https://tiltify.com/@moiren/moiren-magpie-plays-live-for-st-jude/donate.

I am committing the most egregious of sins and bumping my own thread, as there is only 1 week left for this donation drive.

Also, I don't think a "vocal few" people who want the board to be made out of rainbows should have a greater voice than the "vocal few" who appreciate having a place to call a spade a flaming piece of cunty spades.

Listen, I don't know if there's something specifically wrong with your genital area (there are all sorts of antibiotics these days, best of luck) but how about not using the word cunt/cunty as an acceptable mud-slinging insult when that's actually precisely the sort of shit that will get you slain in the Hogpit.

The thing about the word cunt though, is it is used much more in the the UK than it is North America. About as interchangeably as bitch is here. I mean it's in their daytime soaps. So it actually is an acceptable mud-slinging insult in some places. Language is different all over the world. Are we supposed to stick u's in everything because @Arkandel is in Canada, and @Ganymede is from Canada, so 2/3 of the mod team dictates the rules of word usage? (I mean it's not a problem for me, I usually only remove my u's from poses and not where I post online, but I can try!)
