@tinuviel I follow Jim Beaver on Facebook and he posted about it, but I couldn't find anything either.
ETA, the stories seem to be coming in now.

@lithium Oh you don't even need to learn how to code it; there are games programs out there for building games, specifically on mobiles now. All you need is Kate Upton's boobs.
@ganymede Oh yes, I picked a really bad game that makes a lot of money for a reason.
@tempest said in Yes! More Micro-transactions! (Activision, WB Games and EA appreciation thread):
On one hand, people tend to stay away from P2W stuff anyways, do they not?
Oh hell no. Mobile games are almost exclusively P2W. The War one with Kate Upton in the commercials? It makes nearly $ 750, 000 a day.
It's not loot boxes, but it's still P2W.
Sure lots of gamers don't like P2W, but lots of them would do it to get an edge, and P2W loot boxes are seeping in to single player games too with Shadow of War... and it's selling pretty well.
Players have always gone after cool stuff other people have, in games. Just look at raiding sets in MMOs.
Honestly, I think it was inevitable, really; see cool stuff, want cool stuff, find a way to get cool stuff.
The big take away from this story though is that it isn't in any games yet, they applied for the patent 2 years ago, and just got it.
@lithium It's Cheap or Free Games in Tastes Less Gamey, and it has the pink bunny from Silent Hill 3. (Saw a post here, but not the post, postedthe same, but with a link. >.>)

Ok, so the 'title' part of it doesn't work quite right, but! The rest seems to.
What happens when you quote someone?
@jaded Oh I get that, but hiding the true ending behind a paywall is something people should know about when considering a game too.
You can get it down to 65 Gigs if you opt out of 4k resolution, but you can't do that until after the download has started. That's still bigger than a lot of releases.
(It's only 36 Gigs on PS4... WTF?
@jaded Also the real ending is pretty much behind a paywall, as you need Legendary orcs to complete it and while you could grind it out, it is very much a grind without the boxes.
ALSO: The PC version clocks in at 100 Gigs... so there's that.
Torchlight 1 and 2 are claimable on GoG/connect right now if you have them on Steam.
@Tempest The controls are better with a controller. Both are great games, but I like Zestria maybe a little bit more, but I played it before Berseria.

I...I really wanted this to be a hoax. Or some kind of lie. Really really wanted it to be.Really.
Sigh.
Seems to be conflicting reports right now if he's actually dead or not right now.
FYI, It's Extra Life Table Top appreciation weekend. The official weekend for all of Extra Life (where you can still play board games too) is on November 4th. But if you like watching Table Top gaming, there is probably some going on, on Twitch for charity and stuff!
Weird. Shows up for me, but maybe because it was in my cache? Changed it to the main page anyway.
Also! I have an extra Psychonauts key for anyone who didn't get to grab it, have to claim it by next Saturday or it goes poof!
@Jaded It's there, you just need to keep trying. Unlike the other posts with a limit it was a couple of hours in to it. This one I got after 15 mins. There is also a sale going on too, and Outlast is still pretty popular, AND Halloween is coming up. I imagine the page is getting slammed.
(That said, if anyone wants the keys I already have the game and DLC, and was able to grab it, so I now have extras. So if anyone wants them, and can't connect before it ends, please poke me.)
Outlast + Whistleblower is free for 48 hours on Humble Bundle.
