@Pandora I had to look those up. I sew, it just looks like it's fleece, slapped together like a french pillowcase edging. But the price, ouch. If you let me know your dimensions, I have fleece and can rip you off a few. The fleece has been sitting forever on my shelf and I'd rather see it used. Also, keep an eye on joanns for fleece, day after christmas sales, their no pill fleeces go on ridiculous cheap. Like 2 bucks a yard. And coupons through the year gets you 40 - 60 % off. You can even buy heavy duty hem tape and make a no sew one, with just your iron and the hem tape.

When home health care can't get their ass out of their head, get IV medication to the house on time, figure out what time the god damned lab nurse is coming, can't include half the stuff that is needed and then spend the entire day, calling and changing stuff, then calling to apologize, then calling to change more stuff and....

I still don't fucking know what is happening tomorrow, just that I have stuff to last us till Saturday and after that, people better have their shit together.

And apparently they don't supply nitrile gloves, and we're supposed to just have a box of them on our own hanging around. Dude, dealing with an IV line that goes RIGHT to my spouses heart... pretty sure when you tell me 'And always wear gloves for sterility" that... you know, you supply gloves and I don't have to go out and pay 12 bucks for a box that will last me 2 weeks.

@zobi It was very reminiscent of A Quiet Place. But like you said, in a good way. A nice solid movie I think.

Bird Box. Netflix. A nice post apoc alien invasion with lines of A Quiet Place, a sprinkling of the Happening and a healthy dose of like Signs and some other classic psych horrors. Tomato gave it 66%, I quite enjoyed it, even when birds nesting in my eaves while I was watching at 1am and scared the shit out of me by squabbling and scratching at my window.

@groth or, quite seriously, the sheer amount of screaming over the unfairness and tge how dare you have something shiney has made people unwilling to engage it further because it taints the joy from making new things. That, coupled with "must be in public" combibed with forthcoming changes means people are waiting or are just plain unwilling to be dealing with the drama.

The rest has been me either having used haggle, selling mats privately instead of through brokers, people paying off their purchases from big ticket jewelry or just buying jewelry. I don't run work code. My patron runs code and I get resources that I trade for coin or use to buy materials inporting from the market or just donate for this cause or that cause. I used to quite frankly, make my money off haggle and broker, selling the higher end materials but lack of ap to actually haggle kills that.

Money from many sources. But i'm done my project si now blingy canes will be producing big numbers. Just one last request from someone to the benefit of a house of my choosing and I'm outsies.

@jeshin cane was 300k of grayson money, 348k of my own. I have blown probably a good almost 2.5 million on the project with about 425k coming from pc houses.

Like, they're part of an ic project. If I wanted effecient I would quite frankly stick to neclaces, of luxury metal with a handful of precious and semiprecious stones, refined to green.

@groth dude (or ladyn i dunno don't care) buy then sell and you are out 20 ap. That is a huuuge chunk of AP. That is a fifth of what an average person gets.

And while you may have a formula there, what is on paper doesn't always pan out in practice because your rolls will not always give you want you want. It's why you over ask on the first part and hope it doesn't shoot the moon on you.

In the few times i have haggled resources there is maybe once it actually said "i will buy 300-ish" it usually asks for between 400 - 600ish of them and never at higher than 350ish per.

Until ap has been settled and we know if it can be traded to people etc etc, theres no concrete value to give it like there was before (roughly 2.5k to 3.5k for one end point ap). Even the value in crafting is variable when it comes to ap.

@groth you brought math beyond 1/4 inch seam allowances and 5 to 8 ounce measurements out and I went cross eyed.

@groth just haggle/findbuyer and collate from the broker. Buying the resources through haggle and then selling is horrifying waste of ap.it really is. Eats into profits.
