@jaded I will hands down confess to seeing Deadpool twice (once with my moviepass, another time on cheap night) and unashamedly say that Ashes, is currently on a loop, on my echo. Not regrets. "This thing only goes to an 11, now beat it spiderman!"

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@jaded Gonna agree. Not a huge fan of Star Wars (husband and child are) and I was happy when I had a work call pop up that I had to step out and take. Bland is a pretty good way to put it.

RE: RL Anger
I lent my lawnmower to a daycare parent who didn't have one yet and needed to mow their lawn. It's electric, cordless.
It's fucking broken. Won't start. I am LIVID.
edit: 45 minutes later, I fixed the starter on it, but now a battery is only charging to half and oh god i'm so over this. Never lending this out. Don't care. If my shit gets broken I can't mow and I have asshole neighbours who break out rulers and scream for the city it it starts to hint at being over 6 inches.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@auspice Yeah, I got one for me, because even if it only worked for a month, it would only cost me 8 bucks, and to see a movie on a not $5 night, is $11 9$13 if I want heated super recliners vs normal recliners). So even seeing one, already made it worth it for however long it lasts. I went with my son to see Isle of Dogs, which I wouldn't have been able to, and then saw Solo last night on student night (Husband and I free, son was $6) So even if it's just for those two movies, imho, I would try it. I think.... I have a thing that gets you the month for free, lemme check.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@auspice Oooh! Ooh! Moviepass! See if the service is available in your theatres. 8 bucks a month gets you what looks like a debit card - is a debit card - and you can see 3 movies a month. Shit you not. We've had it for a couple months now and have seen a bunch of movie that otherwise could not have seen. You just can't see movies twice, and you are supposedly going to start having to snap a picture of your stubs. Takes about a week, jsut a little over, for you to get a card. Oor 10 bucks gets you 'One movie a day". I have to wait another month before I can upgrade to the once a day.

RE: My first cellphone
@three-eyed-crow yesss. I want to repair my 6 so I can use it again. It's the right size, the right thin, i love how pictures come out on it. Dislike that i can't put an sd in it, but meh, 32g. I want a wiresless charger for it though. So i can just smack that puppy down instead or cord hunting all the damn time.

RE: My first cellphone
@sunny What she said. I bought our S6 from someone i knew on Reddit from within my home town. And I made sure it was clean before I paid for it.

RE: My first cellphone
I have AT&T's pre-paid plan. Have had it for near 3 years now. I set up auto pay, it knocks 5 bucks off. 12 g a month in data (with rollover from whatever is not used the precious month). I use it for my work - both dog and kid sitting - and use it to tether when on the road during road trips. 58ish bucks a month. They have some decent phones.
I've flipped between an S6, and a samsung prime. On the prime right now because the speaker on my 6 is broken (water), prime is my backup phone. AT&T has some pretty decent phones to buy outright, and with memorial sales and the like, you can easily find a good deal in the coming weeks. My husbands phone is Virgin mobile, and they get okay phones, but the prices are just as decent, and conenctions, they run off sprint towers. We have never used plan phones. You can find second hand newer phones, unlocked and usable.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@cupcake Our two local dog parks are divided into 3 area's Large pathed area all fenced in. Then a smaller agility park, and then a "Small dog" park. Signs on the small dog and agility state that if you're unsure, bring your dog into these two smaller ones, if you just need some space away from others. Best park ever. But yeah, there's been incidences at the parks too, of people being idiots, not watching their dogs or keep their dog on a leash when they get past the entrance path. When the sign states take your dog off the leash for it's safety, but keep your leash at hand.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@admiral I have a wheelchair bound dog coming tomorrow. I will double boop that snoot. We're picking up toys tomorrow too to bring to our favourite dog park in his honor. So folks can take one home with their doggo's.

RE: Favorite music streaming service?
@zombiegenesis Same. Have prime, pay the 8 bucks a month and happy with it. very little that is unavailable for me. Even something somewhat oscure (to a degree especially in the states) like La Bottine Souriante, is available to me. Pandora annoys me, Spotify, the ads annoy me. At least with prime, I can ramble through stations and add what I like and then I can bellow at my echo to play my recently added. Or tell my dot to play Classical Focus and go to sleep.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@auspice That's pretty much it. i think it's because we sat him so often. He's just... he was the old man. (Yes we have permission to use his picture, it's part of our business cards)
God damnit, I hate this part of the job and I never even realized it till now. I can't boop his snoot anymore.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
One of my first and oldest dog clients passed away last night. Old man Murph. It's hit me harder than I thought. Was not expecting that when they pinged me on the service. I got all excited seeing the name, was like YES, the old man's gonna come stay, he's great to walk and the kids just love on him and he lays there smiling. Annnnnnd "He passed away in his sleep. You took care of him more than our family ever did and though you would want to know" . God damnit. Why do dogs gotta die. Seriously. Gonna get a a bunch of chuck it's and drop them off at the dog park in his name.

RE: Shameless Self-Promotion part IV

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@ganymede I have one dog, all mine. Rottweiler/coonhound. You bet your ass she went to school for training, when she's out she's on a gentle leader. People want to pet her, she has to sit before she can be petted.
But I get some real ripe people with dogs that drive me insane. The "service dog" that couldn't recall at his name and tried to kill my cat. The "2 year old dog" that turned out to be 9 months old and ate my couch cushion - they confessed to their beagle being young, to avoid being charge 5 bucks extra a night for being a puppy - then refused to pay for a replacement couch cushion. Rover charged them. There's some folks I straight won't sit for again. I mark them as such and I am conveniently "Full up". Then I have great dogs. Ernie, who is our first and constant client. Taking care of him for over 2 years now. Albert the old man drop in. He's just happy to walk. Einstein, the wheelchair dachshund (getting him next weekend) who is high maintenance, but fun to see him zoom.
But I abhor the ill behaved dogs. I'm looking at you Mischka. Gods sakes, find the time, train your dog. Watch youtube. But if your dog is bitting me, destroying my table legs and I have to keep it seperated from everyone else and it's already lost it's balls... that's bad behavior. 100 bucks, get your ass to petco for 6 weeks. Learn.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
I've had four people ping me for dog care on rover. That's not bad. But then all four go Wait, you charge 28 bucks a night to have my furry family member at your place?!?! That's outrageous!!" or 15 bucks for me to haul ass across two, and spend 30 minutes with their pet, scoop little, take for walks, feed, refresh water. Gasp!
Lady, the god damned Kennels around here charge $38 a night and your dog sits in a stall. Not lounge on a couch, get three walks a day and get to sleep on the bed if they do that at home. Not to mention on the weekends, dogs rarely get let out for more than one trip out to a paddock to roam. Fido get's primo damned treatment at my house. Not my fault that you have -four- dogs and you want three drop in's for four days. At least your three other dogs only cost you 5 bucks extra per dog.
I swear to god. And then I have to mark them as 'owner changed plans" and I take a ding to my metrics and no longer top of the list in the area, but at least within the top 5. Yes, you idiot, dogs are -expensive- if you have to go away and can't take them with you.

RE: RL things I love
Seeing stuff actually finally growing in my garden and my neighbours garden. All that damn hard work and POP there's the cucumbers, lettuce, radishes, tomato plants, basil, everything. Everythings coming up green finally!
Now if the dandelions would just die and my grass seed take, and the deer stop eating my stupid apple tree it would be keen.
