@miss-demeanor I miss Zelda!
Who were you tho?!
@auspice Sorry Auspice I can only regrow your limbs, not give you cookies
boardgamegeek has a pretty big werewolf community. They have a lot of stuff in place for automated voting, role distribution, and a secondary site called that handles all the hidden information and gives werewolves a private chat and what not. I used to play there all the time.
@skew Ohhhhh. I have no idea which Victoria Roth I was then! I apped her when the game opened and played a lil, and came back at some point after some years. I don't really remember anyone from TR to be honest!
@Arkandel I dunno. On AoM in the Knights of Neraka we had our leader guy who was like level 16 and the next highest was like level 8? We RPd with him all the time but he never got to come on the adventures with us, which slowly just led to less and less happening.
@Arkandel I dunno back in the day I played at Dragonlance: Age of Mortals in the old D&D 3.5 system and levels make things strange to actually get to throw some dice with the people you RP with. I suppose it's not much different to people having stacks of XP in WoD games vs those that don't, but it feels different when you have a group of players that range from level 2 to level 15.
Well it seems like I'm back in the hobby finally. Haven't really played more than a couple of scenes since before Haunted Memories went away, until the last few weeks. Thought I'd post stuff here, maybe catch up with some old peoples with new names.
Current:
Faith - City of Shadows
Past:
Elise - The Network
The Penitent - HorrorMu
Judy - NOLA
Jehanne Mercier - Fear and Loathing
Evelyn/Zelda/Jutte/Others - Haunted Memories
Victoria Roth briefly - The Reach
Karen for like 1 scene - Fallcoast
Andriax - Dragonlance: Age of Mortals.
Lisa - Reno
Katherine - Reno
Victoria - Echoes in the Mist (reimplemented as Judy)
Rowan - Stargate MUX (Brief roster char that I took and then put back.)

As much as I like Apocalypse World (and its many spin-offs like Dungeon World), it is still a Game About Stats. It is one of the most focused Games About Stats that I have seen in a long time; it doesn't matter what the other person's skill is, if you succeed lives on your stats alone. This keeps the game rules part more understandable and accessible. Mind you, all the AW games are pretty damn dark.
Yeah, true.

In the new series it seems to be only Usagi and the bad guys that don't realize who people are. Tuxedo Mask seems to figure out pretty easily that Usagi is Sailor Moon. And when she realizes who he is she's like "how did I never know?!"
Yeah, I noticed that.

The thing that bothers me about Chibi-Usa is the weird crush on her father.
She doesn't realise it's her father though.

One peeve I have with Magical Girl animes and the like is.. WHY DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE?! The only thing that changes is their clothes. Everything else stays the same. I suppose it could be explained away that it is that way for the reader/viewer to know who they are but they also see the transformation and the detransformation. I have never seen a magical girl anime that makes visible changes when they power up, outside the clothes.
I rant on this as a girl who is quite fond of Magical Girl things.
Haha, yes. There's even an episode of the original DIC English Dub Sailor Moon where Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars start their bickering like they always do but actually call each other Rei and Serena.
Tuxedo Mask is standing right there, and it's far enough in that he knows he is, but somehow he still has no idea who the Sailor Scouts are.

And in general.. I rather like the new Sailormoon over the old. Perhaps it is because it falls closer to the Manga and Usagi isn't as much of a screecher.
I think the best part is the fact that the bad guys tend to be destroyed very quickly, like in the Manga, where as the old series was very 'monster of the week attacks friend of the week' that made all the bad guys look rather incompetent as they suffered failure after failure.

I've sworn off Sailormoon Crystal. As much as I like it (and as much as she is not annoying since they are using the manga version of events), the most recent episode had an extremely unforgivable animation issue, enough to make me go 'WHAT THE FUCK TOEI'.! They had Sailormoon attack and they used, completely reused, an animation short of her doing Moon Healing Escalation. This would be fine, but they DIDN'T EVEN EDIT THE MOON STICK TO BE THE CUTIE MOON ROD.
Lazy-ass animation team.
Wow, I didn't even notice that.
