Mint chocolate chip quest bars. AMAZING. Also, Michael Kors rain boots because why not.

I'm freezing all the time now. Starting at 73 and below I really need sleeves.
Pet peeve - Waiting on the answer to something big and important. Like buying a house. Pins and needles. Ugh.

All this talk of snow is making me happy for my hot humid weather. My hair though...so frizzy. Soooooo frizzy.

Get a car like normal people! Yesh.
I have a bike. It's pink, looks vintage and most importantly is pink. The decision making process went like this, hey this bike is pink. It looks vintage. It's less than $200. Yay! I'll buy this bike. I can ride around with my kid while wearing a big sun hat and get freckles on my legs.
Buying bikes is easy. Unless you want a real bike.

The Amish go to Walmart. That blew my damn mind.

I had a coworker who would start unfastening her pants as she crossed the office. Like...what? It was the weirdest thing.

Pregnant women who can't talk or post about anything else. Ever. I don't need 10 status updates daily about your pregnant ass or your pregnant diabetic woes. You did both of these things on purpose to yourself.

RE: [Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?
No love for brunettes. I feel very left out.

RE: Recipes!
@Coin You put that chorizo in a box and send it here stat.

RE: [Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?
@Cirno Oh no, black people have by and large never been hostile to me. Not even the crack dealers I used to run with. (And I mean this very literally, my stupid ass used to have very sketchy friends, whom I did things to like call them Pikachu and would cry when they were mean to their pitbulls)
Black women whom I interact with frequently have especially always been good to me, nicer on levels than white women. It's crazy white internet bitches who made me afraid and when I gave up trying to be the 'good white girl according to Internet rules laid out by fat white women' my daily interactions with black people became less stiff and way more easy and fluid.
I've learned that if you're not a fucking racist, just being yourself goes a long way. I'm sure it also helps that I'm the least intimidating person ever. I'm short and fat and not stunning by any stretch.

It's all about appearances to the majority.

RE: [Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?
@ThatOneDude Everyone knows brown people don't have jobs. Sorry, I don't make the rules. Oh wait, I'm white so I do.
White people have made me so afraid to compliment a black woman on anything. It's racist to mention hair or skin or anything. I gave up. I listen to my hip hop loud, I tell a girl when her weave is amazing and that I'm jelly how certain colors look sooooo good against their skin.

RE: [Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?
White people love to know they're part Native American. I don't know why, but they love it. It's at least one thing to say you have some blood and another to claim crazy bullshit, but even that gets irritating. I have mocked and unfriended idiot white girls who are 'super in touch with their minority status' but don't even belong to a tribe. Stop it. Just like I told my cousin to stop when she found out we qualified for stuff. Shut it. You're white as hell.
I think it's in part because we don't have any culture. Yes, arguably we do but it's not 'cool' so white people try to find other things to 'be'. Also, it seems to be a way to skirt racism. Look, I'm not racist, there's brown people in my ancestory.
I come off as very very white. Like clueless white suburban bitch, despite the fact that I've had experiences otherwise. So that's how most people treat me. It's less about what you are and more about how you're perceived. My half Irish half Sicilian best friend is often taken as Mexican, even by Mexicans, despite the fact she's white. She just has dark skin. @ThatOneDude is white to me, but he's not really likely considered so in the eyes of some. There's a lot of technically white people that white people don't consider white.

RE: Recipes!
Anything from I breathe, I'm hungry. I've made quite a few of her desserts for gatherings and I just made the lemon bars the other day. Sometimes they're a bit high on calories but they're treats meant to be shared. I almost always bring a dessert since it's very demoralizing to go to a party with a huge pile of desserts and you can't have not one bite.
I'm looking forward to getting my order from Quest and making their cheesecake mint chocolate brownies because yes. Also just because Quest stuff is SO GOOD.

I love Houston. I get tired of the instant Texas hate that is very popular on the Internet. I'm from a city thankyouverymuch. Redneck types in rural New York tried to mock me for being redneck. Excuse me? You have a farm. I come from the city. Try again.

RE: [Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?
I don't know. Both sides of my family has been here a long time. I also apparently come from a long line of mostly white trash. Me and my brother are mostly different though in our looks, both from family and each other. I'm auburn haired, shorter, fair and freckled with hazel eyes. My moms the only one out of her four sisters like that (though she has brown eyes which are common in her side) and none of my cousins are like me except for one redheaded cousin...and on my moms side I have a LOT of cousins. My brother is taller with olive skin, no freckles, brunette, thin and almost no body hair. He can't even grow a beard to save his life...there are just spots that refuse to grow facial hair at all.
I tried tracing our family back but seriously, we've been here ages and always in the south. I did find out my dads mom lived on a street when she grew up with a black family. I feel sorry for that family. They were the only ones with any damn sense to not have 10 kids. My grandma was a hateful old lady so I can't see the rest of her family being much nicer. There's also census records of a missing kid. Weird stuff.
Anyhow, I'm just some plain old white girl who refuses to live in east Texas like her white trash family. I'm likely three check marks away from being a basic bitch. I'm ok with this.

RE: Sexual themes in roleplay
We, the talking heads of wora, can try to make things better, yes. Call me cynical though, I don't have any faith in it ever coming to light for even a minority, must less a majority.
