@buttercup It's great to have you on the game. Keep up the awesome RP, and yeah it's true. Never met someone as OOC polite and nice, apologizing for the IC gruffness of speech and actions.
It was a small hiccup, server is open to connections again.
We had a server issue earlier, people were not able to log onto the game. Just wanted to let you know that issue has been fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience. Game is up and running again.
Marsilikos - Under the Wings of Angels explores a parallel history based on the Kushiel Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey, set in a late medieval, early renaissance era. In the land of Terre d'Ange, where members of nobility are descendants of Elua and other Angels that roamed the lands long time ago, there are intrigues evolving around the royal court, and diversions provided by the Night Court where courtesans cater to a wide variety of tastes and preferences.
Unlike other games of the theme, play focuses on the ducal court at the capital of the province of Eisande, shifting the viewpoint of general politics to more local interests and intrigues. The majority of nobles to be encountered will be of Eisandine families, courtesans of local salons and commoners with business to be in Marsilikos, of course!
Marsilikos is a port town, with a modest foreign influx as well as a potential for sea-related adventures and plots. Meanwhile, the Royal Court is still active in the City of Elua, the politics of which may affect the characters of Eisande this way or the other.
Our goal is to provide a friendly environment for plot driven RP, encouraging players to develop their own storylines in cooperation with staff.
The game is running on PennMUSH 1.8.6p2 and uses Faraday's FS3 skill and combat system, second edition. After tinkering for a few months, we are now in open beta and have already a few players.

Some marriages that were to happen, I never got to RP, as the games often died prior to that particular phase. Others happened but sort of idled out.
I think a danger is there sometimes, to have all RP focus on marriage and little else which can sometimes cut down on the variety of RP to be had.
My most memorable ones were two very unhappy marriages, though, on two different games. Which also brought all kinds of intense RP. Sometimes painful to play out, but yeah, in the end there were some great scenes. Pushing my characters to extremes.
Edit: The two games were both L&L genre, Tales of Daeren and Eternal Crusade.
@buttercup Oh hi, I think I met you perhaps on KD, former Chrysantheme no Alyssum here, and I also played Artemisia no Jasmine.
@RayneDev Hey! That closed Fel-something mush was Felaguria, and I remember you played a Rayne Devantry there. Many greetings from Baldwin/etc player.
@WildBaboons I think her staff bit was Nimue? Haven't heard anything from her since then. But I have seen her disappear for some time before, elseMU. They never got the server up again after it went down.
I was also one of the first few who took a manor on Realms. I can't say there was fault in anything, as I had a great time there. I wasn't part of any themely discussions, and besides I didn't really notice any of those pagan thematic conflicts. Maybe because my alts where Christian? I find that my emphasis for staying on a game is more the fun factor, of having nice scenes, over completely correct and proper researched theme. But maybe that is just me?
Head of Manors where knights, not lords, yes. I found that a nice change to the powerplay on some Lords and Ladies games...
Also... lethality. A nice touch. I wouldn't have complained if my knight would have been killed in battle.
My thoughts in remembering Realms Adventurous.
@Crysta Weren't you peeking into Fifth Kingdom as well? I miss RPing with you.
@KDraygo Lol, seems we keep frquenting the same games. Lyanna here from Steel and Stone, Deidra (GoK), several chars on EC, Antonia (Hey bro!)/Adrienne on CE, Bryce from Tales of the Round, and now Rochadh/Orlaith/Kaitlyn on Fifth Kingdom.
@Carnivale Hah, seems we have at least convergence in three games I played on, and I think I remember attending Bryliesa's wedding on my char Lyanna (one of the few Freys) on Steel and Stone back then. I also played on Game of Kings, but I'm not sure our paths crossed there. I was Deidra there, one of the Blue Guards. As for Game of Bones, I joined that place probably after you left.
