Do they require citations for non-OCs?

RE: Storytelling
XP isn't just a poor idea, it's a dead end idea. Yes people like rewards, and power, but this actively makes less and less of the stories people can tell available to them.
Story happening, character change, setting change, these are the things that give you something to RP about. Yes, some improvement can be done and played through/about.

RE: RL things I love
It violates the intimacy rules of prostitution. You can talk about your life, complain about things, have sex, but no kissing on the mouth.

RE: Comics Stuff
I see you quoting me, and nothing else. Were you trying to say something?

RE: Comics Stuff
Suspension of disbelief doesn't have to extend to the in story logic itself. They told me their setup then failed to utilize it, and in fact went with actions that directly ignore it.
It's bad writing, plain and simple.
I wish for spoiler tags cuz reasons.
The codex was "stored in his cells". That's good because to use his DNA to store other DNA would mean his DNA was possibly millions of times larger than needed, and mostly turned off, if there was a possibility of data compression. Cuz to store IN DNA you would write with DNA. So I assumed some nanocomputer or data crystal or whatever they used, copied into all cells.
I admit I am assuming that it's a whole copy every time, as I think there is way too much chance of loss due to injury and biological turn over. I can't think of any way that it is in his cells, unless it was meant that the codex was hidden in another dimension, and the key was made to be his bioprint or soul or whatever. They didn't say that.
I don't care that he is Superman otherwise. The same story logic could be used in any story featuring an alien from a culture capable of storing a civilizations worth of unique DNA inside a persons cells in any way.
It's lazy. Its a way to say Zod is a dick, but he didn't choose to have to go after Kal-el to save his species from extinction. Jor-el made sure that would be necessary.

The scary part is how simply holding one another starts biochemical reactions that affects how you view the person.

RE: Comics Stuff
I hate the art about seeking the Kryptonian DNA Archives. Having million if not billions or trillions of sequences in it, it would have to be stored in a holographic form, by which I mean that any small art of it can recreate the whole. Otherwise storing it in the blood is asking fr it to leak out, or be eliminated as the cells renew.
Blood. From Kal-el. Like the kind left on their spaceship floor early on,. Like the sample that could have been taken peacefully then.

RE: Ground Zero: Code help! Things! And stuff!
My bad, I got distracted by the question, and forgot this was a thread for a specific MU. I coulda just asked.
When you say Fallout, do you mean with the 50s flare, or not?
My personal attraction to post-apoc is rebuilding, and I am not sure that is actually fun. I blame Living Steel for setting up a huge complex and realistic appearing system that create a glamorized version of rebuild from the frontier lifestyle in my head.
Any plans on a game system? And by that I mean yeah you could do a strong combat system, or you could do one that is mostly about drama building or whatever. Just curious.

RE: Ground Zero: Code help! Things! And stuff!
It;s a huge genre, aboutr the same size as Sc-Fi.
There is what sort of post-apocalypse, how "realistically" you treat it, and what sort of action you focus on.
Zombies, asteroid, aliens, plagues, global meltdown, climate change, nanobots, AI/computer virus, warfare, religious event, etc.
Tomorrow, 28 weeks later, the new wasteland, emerging adaption/the new frontier, mining the destroyed past, the altered future.
Psychological commentary, societal commentary, gritty survival, adventure, sci-fi survival, pulp survival, the New Humanity, etc.

RE: The Flame of Darkness (Marvel Universe RP Game)
That answers my question.
Saying its stored as text also describes it, but it also describes almost everything on a MU*.
Sounds like you have a cooperative game, where traits are used to verify that something is correct and previously defined for a character, FC or OC. It does not have, and hopefully never will have, really long or super specific requirements subject to staff whim to define these traits, so folks can get out and play.
@Coin, do you find it odd stating that you don't read snark in something, so make no assumptions, but go on to state you are sure I am coming on strong with something as demanding as a list?
The snark was from someone else anyhow. Least I think they are not associated.
I hope peeps have a good time playing there.

RE: Lifehacks and Helpful Hints
This topic needs a trigger warning, obviously.

RE: Storytelling
I'm pretty sure you are the only Geist Sphere Lead I worked for. Anyhow neither of us remember the meat of the conversation, so ...
carry on!!!

RE: Lifehacks and Helpful Hints
Empty precription bottles also work for change in the US.

RE: RL Anger
There are bed shortages. Even at regional places serving metropolitican and rural areas. Ran into them for my mother and father in law over the last few years.

RE: Storytelling
Not really, though I might job your memory. You submitted an idea for the redesign of TRs underworld to have a city where there is an arena where the ghosts of warriors battled, and the prize was like ALL of the losers possessions and reputation.
Maybe it was another Geist Sphere Lead.

RE: Storytelling
Unless you tell people at the beginning what areas to critique, or ask with the same list at the end I doubt anyone will offer to criticize the effort you just did for them.
You didn't like or even ask questions about the critique I offered for your setup of Underworld Fight Club. Admittedly they were about logic and what players were going to do with the UFC, but it's my main experience with you.

RE: Storytelling
Players are used to being spoon fed story lines, tabletop and in video games. They select and rate your ST the same way they select and rate movies, and with as much sensation that they can request, or add to what happens. They are passive consumers. Showing up is what they contribute.
It's a habit that is hard to break, especially when you realize that otherwise creative thoughtful people just WILL NOT DO IT.

RE: The Flame of Darkness (Marvel Universe RP Game)
No, actually I was giving the posters a chance to you know, describe there game instead of spending how many posts failing to do so then being insulting. NO, not all super hero games use descriptive traits, and those that do use a variety of approaches (descriptive, or by examples).
Nice top see the snark is strong. Guess you only want people who already play super hero trait based games, and who know exactly how hard or not your app process is. Ever heard of people complaining about having to write and rewrite and rewrite paragraphs to describe a common and well known trait of a FC (let alone a OC, good luck there), on MOST HERO GAMES, until a staffers particular view of the character, or you as a player of that character, Are met?
Everybody who plays comic-fu and most who don't are aware that trait based super hero games are famous for being difficult this way.

RE: The Flame of Darkness (Marvel Universe RP Game)
In what format are they stored. Give an example, so people have a clue what sort of traits, and resolution you are using. Please quote one of the examples as closest to what is expected or provide a more accurate example.
