    • RE: Stuff Done Right

So here is my deal: I like random meetups, but I have found that VERY often once there are 3-4 people in some public place, I get inundated with people coming in, who are attracted by the people already present, but who don't want to be part of that scene. So they bring in new times of day, varied posing rates and IC time coverage, along with all their antics, and pretty much destroy what I was doing, and move on.

So now when you see me in "Popular Cafe - That Popular Zone" check carefully, and you'll see its an RP room. So, would you rather be faked out, or see Unfindable?

Yes I will full on steal the desc of popular places for a RP Room so I can do a scene there, if I don't want to write up a new place, which admittedly I also like doing.

Could someone explain why its necessary to know at all times where or who other players are with, save to know where ones faction RP might be? Anything more directed at a specific character I would assume can be arranged via a quick page.

Edited to add "at all times" because @Templari pointed out the obvious sometimes use Thank you T). I am picking at the logic that Unfindable is always bad, or based on bad apple logic.

Then there are those who have to read everything that is posed before they begin to compose, and you have their complete attention and it still takes too long and you never want to play with them again.

      runs off crying

Metaposing between characters that are aware in general of the information, even if they can't read thoughts etc can add to a scene. For instance, two characters who often argue over the same things, like council members or family.

I think we call that Metaposing.

By custom or culture some places frown on it, some invite it.

Generally its okay if you share things that give insight into a character or situation, or link it to some overall setting theme, but deeply frowned upon if laden with insults, boring useless stuff, or things that the other characters will never be affected by or be able to affect.

So metaposing that you can read everyones emotional auras and are enjoying the good mood of the street crowd, boring and useless. Using the same ability in a riot to home in on those who are manipulative or otherwise not rioting but are fanning the violence? Maybe entertaining, maybe insight providing.

I don't know of any advantage. I just happen to use WhatsApp because a friend in Singapore recommended it. For some reason I need to text Nepal, Tibet, China, Singapore and India more often than expected.

That's really odd given the sacrificial nature of politics and service. There are costs to everything, and loyal followers will know that sometimes they will shoulder an undeserved burden of cost for the greater good of their goals and ideals.

It sounds super white hat unrealistic.

What happened to that client someone was making and testing? I know Theno remembers it, I'd love to see recommendations as well. Because I need to page chat while I poke at Python while I am at work.

It would be nice if there were actual reasons to distrust one another. Vampires are pretty nasty obviously, but the threat of everyone else seems ... eh. They don't NEED to cross swords at all. So instead you have a bunch of people who are eyeballing other people who actually have personal, palpable power to oppose them, whether its for the cultural fate of humanity, or for being served a latte first.

BTW if you have active ST type friends, and you realize they are veering into the crazy, you can always start to run more stuff with that group to try to lessen the power of the crazy. People can disagree with the CrayCray and still include them in RP, and still do scenes that make everyone feel special or whatever.

Take back some of that power by giving back to the group! Brain-aikido!
