Based in my one second research, 1 in 6 children have a learning disability. 1 in 68 are somewhere in the Autism spectrum. Does this explain the bad behavior most often cited?

I don't have guilt asking a question, one more question, or anything. You aren't my cricket.

RE: Map Maker, Map Maker, make me a map...
Internet. So far away. Cannot verify.
Another odd trick for making maps I've used. Trace the approximate shape of a known coastline. Make the water the land, the land water.
PS Cobaltasaurus Regina should kill me for I have failed her map needs. Mainly due to being home only on weekends, but still.

RE: Changeling?
I didn't think it was invite only, but it is not open to everyone.

I am lazy and mildly poisonous, take that as you will.

RE: Map Maker, Map Maker, make me a map...
I used the soft inner layer of eucalyptus tree bark. It's like very very fine leather, but as fragile as old cloth. Absorbent as hell, used a lot of ink with a fine brush to write and draw on it.
Yes, I had too much time, and eucalyptus trees.

Or take a photo of the map with a phone and send it to someone else. Back when I had time, before the coming of humanity, I would redraw game maps from their hex layout to something similar in detail, with ink on aged paper. Then you could add in notes and corrections.
I also wrote maps and notes on fragile biological materials, so this may just be crazy.

RE: Storytelling
Shortest version: sparked discussion and debate relevant to resolution, and the PCs.

RE: Star Trek games?
Maybe some sort of at Chargen merit that maps out the IC level of and OOC expectations of potential rank would be helpful.

RE: Sexual themes in roleplay
So, like a character whose PBs and major life efforts are being a boxer, or a priest, but they don't seek RP around those things.

RE: Sexual themes in roleplay
Maybe I am unusual, but I see it being more like sexual PBs are crossing some line, and so should only be used when necessary.
I heartily support the idea that someone has a personality trait or behavior that shapes who they are but they don't exercise it on or around PCs. At least then the trait isn't a secret, or an excuse to pull out when you want to act differently. (EG the psychotic killer who is never anything but soft spoken and patient, unless they think any little thing is a reason to PK your ass cuz you asked for it and you should know better than to fuck with eagles if you can't fly rawr)

RE: Sexual themes in roleplay
Next time I play somewhere, I may try out sending descs to their own window. That way they don't interrupt the flow of play and interaction, but can be easily swapped to to actually give them some attention.
Now if I can just figure out how to identify what is a desc start and a desc end.

RE: Staffing Philosophy: Action vs Procedure
It is funny. However, it reeks of self assured blindness. You are very prone to getting staff who are SURE they know whats going on, they suddenly have internet telepathy, and so reductive stereotyping becomes funny.
Tell me how you would feel being treated like that. Staff KNOWS what you think, and why you think it, and can joke at you while they decide to intervene into your play.
Sounds like a great tool for staff you have lied to if you are an asshole player who needs their ego stroked.
Discipline should be impersonal and conducted with an open and serious mind. Not self righteousness and rancor.
