"Theme normalization" makes it sound like its supposed to happen, or is a good thing. I think its more of a hijacking or kidnapping than anything. Its a conscious effort put forth, generally by a group of compatriots with a like-minded goal, who will not hesitate to make life miserable for everyone if they don't get their way.
@Roz Oh sure, a call of boredom shouldn't be a sign that people need to offer them something to do. If I mention it these days, its generally because someone asked me how I'm doing. And its usually followed by me booting up a game and fixing the problem. XD Just trying to say that having someone offer to let you into a 5+ person event isn't always going to be the cure for boredom, and not everyone will want to or be able to deal with that kind of scene. 
Devil's Advocate for a moment... I've left scenes of 5 people (myself included), not because its too busy but because it was taking too damn long for other people to pose. Everyone multitasks these days, I get it. But if I have 2 hours to do something and time between my poses is 20-30 minutes? That's not a very rewarding way to spend my time. In 5-6 poses, you're generally just getting past the initial 'startup' bs for a scene. I don't always HAVE 4+ hours to devote to a large scene these days, and I don't think I'm the only one. So I tend to not be able to get involved in plot since I often have to leave just as things are getting started. Mind, its not anyone else's fault that I don't have the extra time to devote... but conversely, its not MY fault that other people are so caught up in the other thing they're doing that its taking them 5-10 minutes just to get a pose out.
I want to see a Pooh Bear running around the Hedge wearing Piglet's head as a hat and Tigger's pelt around his shoulders like a cloak... decorated with Owl's feathers and Eeyore's tail. Rabbit's Foot hanging around his neck like a grisly good luck charm. Kanga and Roo with him like a pair of vicious dogs, held back by chains and iron collars.
Winnie the Pooh meets Lord of the Flies. That's the Hedge I've always wanted to see and never got to experience.
That's truly sad... that show wasn't given enough of a chance before it was taken away. Warburton made a GREAT Tick and the show was hilarious!

@tragedyjones Nope. They did their damn chores so they could keep using the cable & wifi! MIssion accomplished, I'll take a few Dark Side points for going about it in an evil fashion. I'm a single parent, I can't afford to be full Light Side! And you would hate my children if I was... cause they would become those bitches that whine about needing a 'safe space' because the bad words hurt their widdle feelings.
Moral? You gotta be a little Dark if you want your kids to grow up right, and Jedi are little bitches. (I may be playing too much SWTOR, also...)
@tragedyjones I made my children sit down and watch a video of someone trying to connect, and stay connected, to the Internet through dial-up. Then I told them that if their chores didn't get completed in a timely fashion, I would put them on dial-up and change the cable/wifi password.
I found that out the hard way about 30 minutes into my first runthrough. 
I love roaming around in my Power Armor... possibly because it wasn't something so readily available before, so now I'm enjoying the Hell out of it. Of course, I also don't use much in the way of tactics in FO4 simply because there's so little that should actually be feared. So the Power Armor helps in that respect as well.
Fallout Shelter is fun.. until you have enough Dwellers that you get attacked by Deathclaws EVERY TEN FUCKING MINUTES. Seriously, you can't even recover from the first attack before the second one happens.
I have full X-01 Power Armor and a modded Gatling Laser. I fear no Deathclaws!
