@Glitch The hold and drag worked! But no, if I click on the chevron, it did nothing.

Miss Demeanor was my WORA tag, and a pun. I know, I'm terrible for liking puns.

Don't forget the Watchers. They don't always ACT.. but they're always there.

RE: Star Wars: Age of Alliances
@Coin See, that would be awesome. I dunno, when I think of a Star Wars MU* that I would -want- to play on, I always look to SWTOR first. I know, I know, MMO's.. but at least that game lets you PICK what you want to play. You want to be a Dark Side loving Rattataki Jedi Consular? Do it. You want to be a Light Side basking Twi'lek Sith Assassin? World's your oyster, make it so! You want to play Han Solo or Finn or quite literally ANY OTHER POSSIBLE TYPE OF HERO/VILLIAN? You can.
Sure, there would be chaos, there would be bickering and in-fighting... but that's how factions actually behave and function. So I don't really see that as a problem so much as how its supposed to be.

RE: Star Wars: Age of Alliances
I'm gonna flat out call false advertising. 'Make whatever Star Wars character you want from your wildest imaginings! ... except anything that might fall under the label of Jedi or Sith. So, y'know.. the two major factions from the Star Wars universe that everyone wants to be part of. So basically, its Lords & Ladies in Space. Pass.

I cannot for the life of me get the Reply box to NOT be fullscreen anymore, and when I hit the Discard button, the popup to agree or disagree to discard the post pops up BEHIND the giant blank space so I can't actually access it at all.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Bobotron I know what he was talking about, I was saying that it -wasn't- a storyline that was specific to the X-Men. Its just how -that- subset of the larger Marvel Universe saw, experienced, and dealt with it. Their 'civil war' is happening at the same time as the actual Civil War storyline in the larger Marvel universe. Metahumans (i.e. both mutants and otherwise) are being 'asked' to register so the government can keep track of them. When there's resistance to that, it blossoms further into the Registration Act. While, for obvious reasons, the X-Men really only touch on the parts of it that are pertinent to the X-Men, it doesn't mean they were the only ones to experience it. Its the whole reason why Stark and Cap have the falling out. Cap feels its too much of an infringement on basic rights, while Tony thinks its a good idea and is cooperating.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
It didn't end up affecting JUST mutants, though. The Civil War line the Avengers movies are following now? That was a thing that was happening at the same time as the mutant outcry for the X-Men. It affected many, and like with anything that involves multiple groups and multiple locations, there were different 'titles' for the overarching issue that largely depended on where you were and what you identified as.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Bobotron Nah, that's okay. X-Men had their shot with me and they blew it on Famke Jansen and Halle Berry.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Bobotron X-Men lost me at Origins. >.> I sat through that horrible Phoenix/Jean Grey die and Scott is even more of a whiny shit than usual POS. Once they fucked up Deadpool, I stopped watching. Just wasn't worth the aggravation.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Thenomain I dunno, I haven't looked any further than the Deadpool movie next month. And frankly.. yeah, not particularly interested in watching the "Man of Steel" and the "Dark Knight" dickwaving at each other. Never particularly cared for Wonder Woman either, truth be told.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Thenomain I dunno... Justice League, Young Avengers, New Avengers, Teen Every Superhero Ever... I lose track of all the different groups. But the helicarrier is pimp.

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
@Thenomain S.H.I.E.L.D. has a helicarrier, yes.

@tragedyjones "I find your lack of faith... disturbing."
@Arkandel Will it at least stun him for a minute?

RE: RL Anger
@Templari That's cheesy, but I could deal with it. Its the 'I'm gonna get pissed off and act like a goddamn 2 year old in the middle of Walmart because the item that was put there BY A CUSTOMER isn't the price I want it to be' that drives me nuts. Or the 'its taking too long for a price check, just cancel the whole thing!' people. It requires supervisor override to abort a transaction in progress... that same supervisor is the one running your goddamn price check right now, dipshit. Welcome to being an oblivious moron that can't use one of the MANY in-store department price scanners to double-check their own prices before heading to the register!
-
RE: RL Anger
People that want to insist that because some lazy jackass tossed a product onto the sale shelf that they should get the product for the sale price on the shelf. Ummmmmmmm, no. Sorry, you don't get to buy a $27 can of Killz primer for $15 just because it happened to have been left there by some other idiot. Sorry lady, but little Johnny doesn't get the big $25 Minecraft toy for $8 just because some schlub couldn't be arsed to put it back where it came from. And no, crying about how you're short on money and just trying to get your kids some late Christmas presents doesn't work... especially when I can see all the designer tags on your clothes and the Michael Kors handbag you're digging around in.

@Thenomain Ooooh, grunge and indie-everything! And hipsters. See, I knew I was missing something.
Hipsters is a 2010s development.
Coffeehouse beatniks DID make a resurgence in the 90's, though.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
The 90's was when things as a country really kinda started going insane. School shootings, teenage pregnancies, gang violence... it all kind of exploded in the 90's. It was still NEW then. Still shocking. Its what made it such a great setting for WoD. They were able to take what was happening, ramp it to 11, add supernatural craziness, and then toss you right into the middle of it. It was also the last decade to have truly decent Saturday Morning Cartoons and after school cartoon lineups. The death of good cartoon lineups spelled the end of an era.
