@aria I think it's a good sign. Also, FWIW, I definitely got hired at one job because I emailed the interviewer afterward with a solution to a problem (in this case one that wasn't even 'real', just part of the interview, but I thought of a better way to do it on my way home). Good luck!

@littlelizard Aw, man. I like those. And I'm sorry for the loss of your memorial tradition.

@greenflashlight I know you don't know me, but virtual hug available if wanted. Music can do that kind of thing sometimes, and I'm sorry it brought that all back up; the other thing I saw and think is also important is that you made it through. The past is past but it's always part of us. PTSD is a pretty strong demonstration of that, and I hope you have access to someone who can help find a way to lessen its impact. I'm sorry you went through that, both originally and today.

RE: MSB alias/username
I've been Ninjakitten since last century, so why change now? I probably recognize it (and NK) as being me more quickly than I do my legal name, at this point.

@ThatOneDude
I just say, "Could I have change for a 20, please?" If I'm at the till, there's not much worry I might be asking the random customer behind me. Especially when the cashier is the person I've already been interacting with, by then.They make you wear a nametag because at some point someone presumably decided this was friendlier, same as they somehow decided calling customers by (first!) name made them feel valued. First-name exchanges between people who are essentially strangers always feel awkward and over-familiar to me and I avoid them as much as I can.
@silentsophia
Even excuse me? Hm. 'Excuse me' is what I generally say if I need someone's help; is there something you prefer? -
RE: Pokemon Go
@ThatGuyThere
I do agree that just "no" would be an inappropriate answer to the question "what is your email?" However, the implied rest of that question is "so that we can put you on our list," so "I'd rather not sign up for emails, thanks," would be perfectly appropriate, as well as accurate. But I also agree that the cashiers probably rarely care that you lie about it.I'm pretty sure I've only ever been asked "would you like to sign up for our email list?" though, and "no, thank you," does work just fine for that.
(To be more or less on topic: I suspect I might not be comfortable with how much info Pokemon Go wants either, but since I don't have anything that could play it anyway, I'll just sit back and watch the rest of you catching 'em all.)
