I'm realizing I'm an extremely project oriented person. Whether that's a tangible goal in RP, telling a specific story, or getting a platinum trophy in a game, once I've decided I'm going to do something I go all out until it's done. It's my ADHD superpower, my hyperfocus going insane until I literally do 16 hour binges and tap myself to exhaustion (hi, final fantasy 7 remake).
How do I apply this to goals that will actually help my life? I want that $$$.
Necro reply!
I am like this as well. Reading some of this stuff has made me wonder if maybe I might be ADHD and just was never diagnosed. Anyways, my favorite job and the one that benefited from this orientation was when I was a newspaper journalist. Every week I would have four or five different things to deep dive into and write up an article on those things. I loved it, but it only paid $10/hr.
I didn't click on their "X-profiles" because I don't have a login and HEY, dont really give a fuck about the kinks of minors.
I suspect ageplay is a very safe and very skeevy bet.
Weed either makes me really sleepy or fucking out-of-my-mind paranoid. It's a crap shoot on which way I go.
True. That might be one of their other kinks, and we don't want to encourage them.

@Rinel We have an interest based nervous system. If we arent 'into' something it takes mental en ergy and time moves slow and its so effortful and ugh
Wait? That's ADHD? Fuck, I thought that was normal.
@Ghost said in PC vs Player Assumptions:
There's a few schools of thought. Lots of D&D players find it totally normal to never use metal weapons on a rust monster even though there have been no rolls to determine if the character knows about it or if it's the first time the character has encountered one. The D&D player doesnt want their metal weapons ruined, so since the PLAYER knows the monster will ruin the weapon, it's somewhat accepted that suddenly the character will arbitrarily adjust based on this knowledge. This is normal for hardcore D&D players. I think it's kinda lame and metagamey
D&D was designed to challenge the players rather than tell stories about the characters, as it developed out of wargames and boardgames. D&D focuses more on the game side of RPG rather than the roleplay side.
I've become a big fan of the Spiffing Brit. He focuses on exploiting games, and the persona he has developed is just hilarious.
Brew yourself a cup of Yorkshire Tea, click the link above, and pick a video to watch.

- What does your character love?
- What does your character hate?
I often don't know. I play to find this out. If this creates a flat character that I can't engage with I don't think that this is the problem of the game or game staff. Someone can convince me that these two questions are critical for playing a character, but I will do a complete 180° on the third one:
It doesn't have to be an all-encompassing love or hate. It can be a like and dislike.
Bob likes food, but hates alcohol.
Just something that shows you have somewhat of an idea of the character and a direction you are going to head in.
@Wretched
A landlord that owns housing in Silicon Valley? Do they, by any chance, look like this:
Or maybe this:
Ha! The villain is an evil jester.
I have called off work today, which is like the 6th or 7th time this month that I have called off. I'll probably catch some disciplinary and my paycheck is going to be shit, but I am loving just sitting here, enjoying some juice and watching some mindless crap on Youtube rather than dealing with the stupid stress of my job.
Considering what movies tend to make the most money, I would imagine the contempt is overwhelming. I know mine is.
I have seen Niamh on almost every game I have played. Arianna is a common too.

Just mail me a form in the mail and I'll buy the entire nation's supply of Samoas from her.

It's the large number who admit to playing on Shangrila that's more shocking.
Why?
Right? Where else are we to sate our need for Dick Cow and Friends?
Do you have any way of reaching out to your previous therapist to see if they have landed on their feet somewhere that you can follow?
When I saw the thread title, I was expecting a Shang discussion.
Carry on.
I also barely held off on posting a diabeetus gif in response.
