RE: Darinelle's Playlist
Hi Darinelle! I was Marsia/Demelza on Firan, amongst others. Caoimhe mentored Rue a bit on TR in croney stuffs, and you ran some Pure plotlines for my wolfblood Gertie there too. Was sorry when you stopped logging in, but it's good to see you back. I'll say it now, you were the only staff on Firan that actually seemed to care about the players!

RE: Feelings of not being wanted...
On RfK, Shavalyoth had a 'meet your match' event. Each week she'd pair up people who had to meet for RP and post it as a list. All you had to do was hook up and play. It was good, and led to some amazing RP with people that might never normally think to meet because they were outside their usual circle. For new people, it offered immediate opportunities to be integrated.

RE: Game of Thrones
Should this be in a spoiler tag? Pretty sure anyone that's wanted to watch the final episode has watched it by now. Regardless, spoiler tag in case! ***=NSFW content***

If he's actively logging in on other characters, and even RPing on his Sam character, he's being willfully rude and ignorant
Other than the fact he said 'okay, let's rp sometime' (which it sounds like it wasn't exactly offered enthusiastically but which can still be misleading) I don't think he's being rude or ignorant.
No matter what you are never obligated to play with one specific person. Remember, we have no reason to think he's inactive - the OP said he's playing the character with other people. Maybe he doesn't like Brigid's character or maybe he doesn't like Brigid's player but he's not doing anything wrong here other than not communicating more clearly.
If the implied relationship between the two characters would be romantic or sexual that's even more complicated. Either way there's no happy ending here, would the OP really want someone to play with her because staff forced him to?
I think it's both rude and ignorant to say 'sure, we'll RP' and then never be available or always have something else that takes precedence. If the player simply doesn't want to RP, then they should say so. I absolutely agree that nobody can force anyone to play with them, nor do they even have to acknowledge them, but if you convey the message that you're happy to play a scene, then don't dodge the issue. If it were a case of staff having to step in, then I would be long gone. I like to think people RP with me because they enjoy my RP, not because they're forced to.

@ThatOneDude Hahahaha. I love it, but I'm a sucker for silly memes.
It just felt so awkward. Lady, I'm so mentally ill, they're OFFERING to help me with disability. That's not light grade stuff and I certainly don't think 'just praying' is gonna help someone when suicidal. If someone is suicidal and acting on it, they need to be in a hospital or supervised environment where they can be kept safe.
I would've probably started laughing at the woman and her suggestion, and inadvertently offended her. I once had a lady Jehova's Witness try to talk to me. She asked me what I thought of the Bible. It's such a neutral question, I bet everyone says something nice just out of politeness. Well I was honest. I said "It's a harmful book that has outdated, primitive ideas which actually end up hurting a lot of people. I think everyone should stay away from it." She didn't have much to say in response to that. I gotta say it's tempting to feel like THE SMARTER ONE (a condescending jerk) in such a situation, but it's also very satisfying to just be honest, just say exactly what I think about it. Politely and nicely but clearly.

RE: Fifth Kingdom
This game is ticking along nicely with a few plots being wrapped up and new ones unfolding. Today will see the start of a campaign to push the Ulster forces out of Degairde where they have taken up occupation. Some fresh to play roster characters have been added, (and being unplayed there's no nasty surprises in their history to jump up and bite anyone deciding to claim them) with tie-ins and hooks to characters already on grid.
There are also several important positions waiting to be filled; amongst them the Midach Gobae (Master Healer and commoner position) for the Court, and the Bishop (Feature/Tier 1 position). There are also Septs (families) now open for active leadership, either as the OOC main character or as the heir to the Sept itself.
If historical games are your thing, drop in and check Fifth Kingdom out, people are usually around and happy to help.

RE: What are you playing...?
Only on KD right now. I have characters on Fallcoast but haven't RP'd there in months, just log in to stop the idle-freeze.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
It doesn't come out here in England for another week, but I am absolutely dragging my children along to see it. SO ready for this!

RE: Ghoulage on Kingsmouth
I play a ghoul there. I have a one on one relationship with a Domitor and he currently has no other ghouls. There is also no sexual relationship/TS involved between them.. I think problems arise with ''sharing'' when someone wants to be a ghoul with a one on one relationship, and then feels hurt when the Domitor goes around banging anything else that moves -- as many apparently do. Its all about the sex.

RE: How does a Mu* become successful?
@Lotherio Mud School! Oh that brought back a memory. I started out on 4Dimensions and had a builder bit there. I joined the Builders Academy and learned to script and code with the help of Rumble and others, eventually building an intricate and detailed puzzle zone for 4D. (Victorian Zone, if anyone's been on there.) Seems an age ago now. I loved loved loved making scripts and triggers then watching the players trying to figure them out

RE: The Secret Life of (Your) Pets
I lost my Bearded Collie of 15 years back in the Summer, and in November I finally gave in and got another dog. This is Mabel. She's a golden Tibetan Terrier and everything not nailed down seems to reappear in her bed. She's incredibly naughty, but completely adorable. (Edited to add: Sorry for size, no idea how to make the pic smaller)

@cirno Shame on you, you made me spit my coffee out with your character analysis. I know, I know, don't feed the trolls, but I did find it funny.

Thank you @Faceless and @Ataru
My daughter is fine. She's quite often in that part of London, but wasn't last night. Kids. Never stop worrying about them!
