You could get a Mac and use Atlantis, which has it built in. That's probably not helpful.

Can't tell if happy or complaining
Happy. The bulk of what was removed was filler either in the form of side-arcs that were just dumb (even by DBZ standards) and stretching out a fight scene by lengthening power ups and such for days sometimes, the latter being what gave DBZ much of its reputation as trash.
I still have a really distinct memory of watching DBZ in middle school on Toonami during Goku and Frieza's final fight when Frieza had like -- sent that ki bomb to the core of the planet or whatever. And no one else in my family watched DBZ, but my mom would sometimes be in the same room when I watched it, and even she paid enough attention to eventually be like, "Didn't they say the planet was exploding in five minutes several episodes ago?"

RE: Anime
Yeah, there's a new series airing currently that takes places after the Buu Saga in DBZ. Pretty much retconning GT.

RE: Anime
pulls face
I have been on such a Dragon Ball nostalgia fest with the new series and new movie so now I am watching Dragon Ball Kai (experience of the original but with slightly less filler, thanks) and ugh guys it's like I'm in middle school again. My affection level is so high for this dumb show.
There's nothing quite like the things you fell in love with as a kid.

RE: Skins
Hi there! The three-dot dropdown (where the Edit option is) is a bit hard to read on the Superhero skin. It's black text on a pretty dark blue background.

RE: RL Anger
A large part of my department's job is making updates to our business website. It's a performing arts venue with upwards of 16 shows a week, different artists every night, etc., so we have a lot of updates. A few weeks ago, we suddenly started having issues where we would suddenly be unable to access the website via our work server. It's been intermittent, so we'll usually get a couple hours a day where it's up and we can make updates, only for it to go down again out of nowhere. It's literally the most maddening thing, so that every time it goes up, it's like a race to get up all the updates we need to do. We have a department laptop, so sometimes if things are urgent someone literally has to take it downstairs to a wifi network that's unconnected to our work server just to make updates. Our IT guy has tried multiple solutions and has finally accepted that he has to start talking to outside vendors because he has no idea why the fuck it's happening. I AM GOING TO SCREAM.
EDIT: Of course, the fact that we're also still on an Exchange 2003 server that doesn't even talk to new computers with maybe a hundred or so megabytes of email server space so that all of my filed email is inaccessible on any computer other than my work computer also makes me want to scream.

I'm sure those are the kind who work in sales or marketing - or, worse, lawyers. They're not people. Don't mistake them for such.
Psh, marketing folks definitely count spaces as characters -- we need an accurate count for Twitter!

@HelloRaptor Probably because not everyone sent her off to do her thing, so she isn't in their main game now and they figured it would be too confusing to those who didn't have her.
I actually thought you got her even if you hadn't sent her off to do her thing in DAO. Who do you get if you don't get her?

RE: Reactions to 08192015 Update
For Chrome, you can actually clear the cache for just one website, as I discovered.
EDIT: Lol beaten by MOMENTS.

@Roz Right, I just wanted to warn because if you have them, you can open them up on the map accidentally and not realize it. Then get eaten by something nasty.
Be careful Tempest!!

@Tempest DLC seems to scale near end game though. But you're waaaay off that.
That would make sense. Most DLC scales because you can often do it at different points in the game.

Do things scale with level, or is there an order you should probably be doing stuff in?
No scaling. As you open new areas on the map, they tell you what levels the area is recommended for.

RE: Reactions to 08192015 Update
The reality is the forum software itself needed to be updated, and the new version has a new look/skin. But when you have issues as Miss D pointed out, you kind of have to update the forum version that likely has fixes in place. Having issues with user's caches isn't the new version not working that needs to be tested out, it's the reality of literally any updates on the web. Testing environments don't fix the need to do hard refreshes and sometimes clear caches.
People are being really nasty on this thread, wtf.

"Improve" Skyhold. I was super disappointed that improving Skyhold didn't do anything beyond cosmetic changes.

I wasn't a huge fan of Varric in DA2
I don't understand.
It's mostly disappointing just because I loved so many characters in the previous 2 games. (I know people hate on DA2, but I really loved the party members in it.)
That I understand. I think overall DAI has the weakest companion makeup. There are specific ones I love, but there's no comparison to the previous games.

RE: RL Anger
Yeah, you'll definitely get in trouble if you just -- don't appear. But it's NOT super hard to say things that will make you an unappealing juror to one side or the other. I actually really wanted to serve the last time I got called, but I think there was a combo of things like 1) I'm very good friends with a defense attorney who sometimes chats (in an appropriately allowable way without breaking confidentiality) about her cases to me, 2) it was a case involving domestic abuse and stalking and they ask things like "does anybody have personal or familial experience with this kind of thing" and I had to say yes, etc. And there went my Henry Fonda dreams.

RE: Good TV
Probably the bigger issue with Lucifer as he exists in the comics is how supremely disinterested he is in actual humans. Like, the idea of the comics Lucifer helping out the LAPD is laughable.

I wish they'd just not even pretended to have optioned the material.
I've got a pretty high tolerance for things like this, usually, probably because I watch a lot of anime that do shit like deliberately using the same characters, names, faces, etc but swap around dispositions, relationships, situations, etc to tell largely different stories.
I've got the whole run of Lucifer in trade paperback sitting on my shelves, and I loved it to bits, but I'm 100% okay with a completely twisted up telling of the tale in a similar framework but with shit changed up. Honestly, Lucifer as a direct translation to screen (or even just the parts that really defined the character as he appeared in the comics) would probably make for shit television.
I said the above but my initial response was to pretend you were talking about the Battlestar reboot, because fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that show.
I actually have a fairly high tolerance for adaptation, too. It's just that almost every piece of plot available in the trailers, summaries, etc. are pretty diametrically opposed to the whole. When something begins to bear so little resemblance to the source material, what's even the point? I definitely didn't expect a direct adaptation, because the run of the comics is definitely not a television show.
And why do we need another gd police procedural!

I finally pinpointed what bugs me about Teen Wolf, which is a really good show, but something was really bugging me. It's that it feels, if using a MU comparison, like the things we see on-screen are just the "PRP logs", while all the other tons of roleplay going on isn't there. You see bits and pieces, but only because maybe a normal log turned into a "surprise! prp!" log in the middle. It's all-action, all-the-time, and while that should usually work, on a show with teens that has a lot of parallels to what it is to grow up, to take responsibility, i.e. coming of age, etc., it feels like it's missing something. There's no downtime.
Man, Teen Wolf is making me a little wistful this season. I didn't even love Derek, but I'm kind of sad he's not around, especially because we now have several new pretty white boys who kind of just look the same. (I guess only two. But still.) I definitely miss Peter, because Peter's fucking great and I wish he was around being sarcastic 24:7. I get that they probably want to just move on from certain characters, and how many seasons can they have Peter trying to take over and kill everyone, but, like I said -- wistful about moving on from a number of the original cast.
Re: Lucifer, you can't even make me watch that because that comic series is amazing and that show is 100% unrelated to the series. I wish they'd just not even pretended to have optioned the material.
