@RDC Congrats on the coming out. I've long considered myself agender and totally get the worry that some people won't get it. For a long time I considered myself cisgender and just didn't really consider gender at all. I just assumed that transgender people were the only ones who "identified" with a gender until actually sitting down and asking people and finding out that the people around me didn't just acknowledge the biological fact of their sex but actually identified with gender. I still don't grok gender roles in general, but then, people in general elude the shit out of me.

re: cheating

Generally I like to be open and honest about stuff ic and ooc both. I typically don't plan for a character to get involved with another if they are supposed to be in an exclusive relationship but it sometimes just happens due purely to ic developments. Most of my characters tend to be poly as I am just not into jealousy and pissing matches in real life or in roleplay. This has caused a number of ic relationships to end early.

Ooc, I believe it would be dishonest and unethical to try and cover up if your character is cheating ic when talking player to player. Omission is fine, but deception is not. That creates a lack of trust and good communications. I neither offer nor expect any type of heads up or forewarning if there is the possibility of infidelity. Honestly, I would rather not know unless I ask, than be told. I don't want the ooc knowledge to fuck with my enjoyment of the in game events or skew my perceptions to be out of line with what my character would know.

I have done omnivore and vegan but never vegetarian. I prefer to eat vegan from a feminist perspective, because with milk and eggs, it is specifically female bodies we are exploiting and destroying.

That said, at the moment I am plant based 6 days a week, and one day a week give myself a pass to cheat on that if there is something I just can't live without foodwise. Because of the one day a week, the other six don't technically count as vegan although in practice, they are.

@Derp I think it's pretty telling that a longer term player posted on reddit about her own issues with the staffer in question (shaleahx). I have had my own issues with harassing and uncalled for sexual shit going down, from an npc animated to call my character a whore and try to rob her and then threaten to slander her to her boss, to the byn lieutenant animated to demand my character suck their cock, to the bartender npc animated to lie to her soldier boyfriend saying she was fucking someone she was interviewing for her boss, to having a flea script tagged with forced emotes and hp loss to another of my character's /and/ the soldier she was trying to sleep with in secret, to any number of random elves who had never spoken to my characters literally willing to die in the arena while publicly shouting they'd fucked characters of mine. And me? I'm neither the player the staffer in question left his pregnant wife to hook up with after their character's TSing, nor the player that a top tier staffer sent an unsolicited dick pic to. Nor the dude with cptsd after another staffer kept trying to fuck while underage. Now me? I have never personally had a problem with the staff member in question. But you would have to get up pretty early in the morning to look bad in comparison to even just the history I personally know of of misconduct there. Full stop.

Mostly the pbs. I figured that ghoul and vamp or sire and childe would both allow for a built in level of thick as theives, and definitely the blunt and kind of kickass energy of Margo in latter seasons will probably inform aspects of personality, but there is by no means an assumption that they be recreations of Elliot and Margo. Initially on reading on City of Shadows what their bloodlines were, the idea of a Mekhet Khaibit with a Summer Bishil pb that actually came from around Egypt was what came to mind, and I thought it would kickass to have an Elliot of sorts to be thick as theives with (ie more the dynamic with Elliot than a carbon copy of his persona).

Invictus is mostly because I've seen Mekhet do really well with them reliably and also, well, established as 'old money' type power brokers. Now of course as neither char has been made there is inifinite room for being flexible on clan and such, I could also see Ventrue working well, or Daeva, though less so with Gangrel or Nosferatu.

@Auspice I like the same meal but with the Hormel chili with beans or more recently the Campbells chunky chili. I like the beans tho, but the chili flavor is the important part

@Ghost kind of a shame that this type of things happens, because in rp on muds the emotes can target and when they do the other person sees you/your/yours, so coming over to mushes after a long career mudding, getting things in that person rather than talking third person is just more comfortable and normal, and has nothing to do with an ic/ooc line. I blame armageddon and evolution of esos for making you and your the norm and third person feel lime the other player may be talking about a different character than mine.

@Ninjakitten This is the same exactly for me. Visual is a non thing, location or feeling and the like, very strong. Smell not particularly strong, but for me, taste is pretty strong and distinct too, but mostly by feel and 'impression' fitting much more than 'imagination' for how my mind works.

Yes and no? Not really in general but I remember a certain pc's desc and rp style had me picturing them one way and then on seeing their pb it was so different that it just sorta ruined my mental image of them and screwed with the chemistry of the interaction, that happened once.

In general if I cannot picture someone strongly from their description, then the right playedby can help me see what they look like better but that doesn't affect whether or not my character would be attracted to theirs. That is usually more a question of their chemistry and whether or not they are my character's "type". If their hair is off or build is off or sex is off in the case of chars who are homo or hetero, then it is still possible for chemistry to overcome that, but it has to be degrees of magnitude better, if that makes sense.

If the pb is drastically different than the description (let's say a hazel eyed person with auburn hair) where you have been rping with them as a green eyed brunette in description for weeks or whatever, that has thrown me off enough to ruin the image of things before, but even peak Momoa or Jolie (sexiest guy and girl to me the player) would not be enough to prompt srp/ts if the chemistry of the characters is off or the other person's writing style is terrible or irritating to me.

The show "Another Period". I loved that show so much, I straight up merc'd the Bellacourt name and altered it to Bellecourt for my first mush character, Cumani.

Turn oven to 350. Get out tinfoil.
Wrap a fully frozen boneless skinless chicken breast fillet in a tinfoil pouch and top with Italian dressing, fold foil closed tight to seal in steam/juices. Wash and poke holes in a potato, wrap that bitch in foil too. Pop em in the oven.
1 hr break to smoke and watch mindlessly funny shit.
Pull packets out of oven and open them. Retrieve chicken with a fork and cut your potato open. Pour chicken juices and Italian half on the chicken, half on the potato, add butter to potato and sour cream and cheese if desired. Five minutes or less of work and you have a dish free meat and potato meal without even needing to defrost your meat.

@magee101 thät's what I mean, arm and eoe havr those systems, I meant that seeing you rather than her was the comfort zone with that person emote system, and that it is a shame people in mushing seem to generally see it as a personal thing or breach of an ic/ooc line.
