This is a genetic thing. I always feel sorry for the people who have it - including my mom - because cilantro is so delicious to me and there is literally nothing you can do to get used to the flavor. You just have to deal with the fact that the rest of the world loves slimy soap.

@KDraygo The game is utterly fantastic. The emotional notes hit harder, but at the same time, they mean so much more. The successes and failures and wins and betrayals, they all MEAN something.

I'm trying to keep relatively spoiler-free in my reviews of it, for those who haven't played it yet (and there are a lot these days!) but as someone for whom the original was a formative media experience... get it.

holy shit have I been sucked into Shadowlands hard. Torghast is what I wanted it to be, the mythics are fresh and with a ton of exciting mechanics (and some legitimately difficult fights), and having actual challenge in the Maw is great.

So hyped about Nathria next week.

why would you defile pineapple with olives, how do those even work together?!

Pineapple goes best with something salty, a little sweet already, and with a flavor profile like cloves, smoke or curry - rich, savory and bold. Spice can be okay but not what is used in, like, Italian sausage. Otherwise the pineapple overpowers it.

Olives are too bitter for pineapple!

@greenflashlight Literally the moment I stopped playing. It was right at the start of Disc Three, I was excited for going into the endgame, saw that, went nope, and left that game behind for good.

Swamped with work. Having to actually go into the office and having very limited time for hobbies - but for once actually feeling like a part of a team with real responsibility, actually liking it, sleeping at proper times and feeling like a Real Adult.

I made the mistake of finally deciding that I would play a Disgaea game through.

95 hours in and still going strong though the post-game of Disgaea 5, my stats on my sage are at about 16 million each. The screams of bear demons haunt my dreams at night, I've captured so many. There is still so much further to go. I can't even hurt Baal yet, much less the Carnage version.

I tell myself "just one more map". Ten maps later, I tell myself "just one more map".

Summer shuts me down hard IRL. I'm not sure exactly what it is - some combination of SAD, the heat wearing me down, and worse sleep, but I go totally hermit. I can manage through text but I just don't want to face real life.

Every year at about this time I come out of it and have to look at a few months of delayed responses. This year was particularly bad. I just wish I had any idea what to do about this - I did nothing but come home and hop onto my phone in bed for most of July and August.

@Runescryer I say this with as little bitchiness as I can: I'm not sure much more needs to be said about conflict between us, and there's still room in this thread for info and discussion about this situation, so I'm cool just leaving it here.

Diablo: Immortal is a brilliant idea, tapping into a huge market that Blizzard hasn't touched - and they went about it entirely wrong.

If they had announced this alongside information for Diablo 4 I don't think there would have been a single peep in the room, but of course this wasn't what fans wanted.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, use a lacrosse ball or something similar to roll the knot out, and expect it to be sore for a few days. I hate these so much.

@Derp Largely people came down on him after the log showed up showing how weird he was being as Tony and we saw that there was some serious IC/OOC conflict going on. At least, that was when my opinion turned from "huh, Runescryer's actually posting on BMD, neat, that's a good sign," to "oh god that's right this is why I dislike the guy." I can't speak for anyone else.

Also, you're really not one to talk about bans, anymore. Just saying.

@Runescryer I do prefer it when you drop your pretenses, yeah, because I don't think you're particularly good at keeping them up in the first place. I also did think that falsely accusing someone of being one particularly toxic predator was bad, which I've not changed on, while generally exposing someone's own creepiness is a good thing. I think that's been pretty consistent in my messaging. I'm glad to hear you'll be more thoughtful in how you title things in the future.

I don't know what pretenses you think I have past that. Yes, I identify more with the people on BMD than on here, but I post on both boards in similar ways and I sure haven't been lying about who my friends are, which you seem to constantly assume I'm like ... some agent of staff over there? I'm not.

I honestly expect people to try this, realize that all of their talk about how Vanilla was better was insane, and come back to playing modern wow.
