Personally, I'm watching to see if TSM is going to fail to make it into playoffs in League this summer.
I've literally been a fan since before the season 1 worlds at Dreamhack, never missed a single game, and I'm about the saddest I've ever been.
I understand your pain. I really do. I came in during S4 Worlds, so the year after that was 2015, and I got to see CLG go on their crazy run until the stomp at MSG.
Not a single member of the team exists from that first victory anymore, and it wasn't that long ago at all that people were treating CLG as a joke, and their standings validated that.
I fully believe TSM will be able to bounce back. NA got a lot tougher, and they will figure a way back into it after their recent flubs. They better, because I don't want this rivalry becoming one-sided the other way now.
(okay, I kind of do)

RE: Final Fantasy
@derp you realize you just alt right did the same thing again right?

RE: Selira's Playlist
if any of you thought I could resist dogfighting, punching nazis in the face, and dragons
Why, why would you think that?

RE: Preferences
@Auspice I'm sorry your taste buds don't work right. It's okay. We all have to be wrong about something, and you can be wrong about the best pizza.

RE: The Work Thread
surprise meeting at 9:30 this morning, we are given 20 minutes to prepare.
We're missing our goals for end of year. Mandatory 30 minute meetings every morning/evening now to track progress. Keep it simple, keep it focused, I'm assigned to track notes and what everyone is doing.
"Oh so we're doing agile scrums now and I'm the scrum leader?"
Dead silence, followed by "... what?"
Proceed to explain to VP of project management company what Agile is.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@Auspice I don't like cream cheese, the tang of it in particular turns me off, sweet cheese is a BIZARRE IDEA, the texture is weird, and the eggs give me issues.
Cheesecake is fucking disgusting on every level.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Groth Lucas had Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson and Natalie Portman all near the pinnacle of their careers, and even from those insanely good actors, we got wooden dialogue and awkward emoting.
It's absolutely unbelievable to me.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2019
@Macha Got banned for their horrible treatment of her in particular. The stories that came out afterward of what Badawi did to her...
Yeah, I feel horrible for her. She was easily a rising star, and I can see a world where if people had been supportive instead of terrorizing her, she could have gone so far. I'll miss her weebtastic streams.

RE: Depression Meals
Some of you express depression very differently than I do. I love cooking. It's the last thing I want to do sometimes.
Bratwurst become an option (because I just boil them) but really it's just a good old peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

RE: Good TV
I have a weakness for trashy reality shows.
The Boulet Brothers' Dragula is everything I didn't know I wanted. Radical self-expression through horror, filth and glamour? Bringing a real, visceral darkness to the scene? Sign me the fuck up.

RE: Getting into Writing
I hated writing as a child. I absolutely despised it - my penmanship is terrible and there is likely fundamentally something wrong with the very process in how I write that remains uncorrected, but my hand cramping, the ink or graphite smears, the tedium of the whole process and how much slower it was to put my words to paper than simply think them infuriated me. Every time I had to write, I would look tor an excuse to get out of it, and check after every sentence to see if I had done enough to satisfy my mother's demands.
That changed with the introduction of the internet into my life. As a young teenager, I was in Germany and isolated away from any native speakers of English. I grew desperate for communication, and while I was learning the language, the first real reprieve I got was discovering roleplaying chatrooms on my cousin's computer.
I was hooked. I started writing and writing and really haven't gone back since. The faster speed of typing, and the social interaction element of it, those were the two things that won me over. I've, of course, written my share of essays, opinion pieces, etc., and it's something I need to find the discipline to do more of, but these days, I'm rarely not writing.

RE: COVID-19 Assistance Thread
There's not a lot I can do as a carless person, but I'm in the Portland, OR area and work from home in an essential industry. I also have a decent amount of privilege and bureaucratic know-how, and my roommates are going stir-crazy looking for things to do to help. Let me know and I'll try to work something out.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
I've been low-key to high-key angry for about two to three weeks now, and like...
I feel better? I feel more focused, more me? It's weird.
