We were always a little uncomfortable with you there, to begin with.
That's great news. Lower stress is best.

Been having nausea and stomachaches for a couple of weeks, and went in for a liver panel.
ALT/AST results weren't great.
What's worse is that the results weren't great and a doctor has yet to actually call to talk to me about them, so my anxiety brain is spinning up all the different ways I am currently dying.
Wish they'd held the results until they actually could deliver it with context.
Not done, but nearing it myself, and holy crap I have never taken more screenshots of cutscenes.
Overflowing with joy every time there's a voiced scene.

You ever buy all the stuff to make jambalaya, go to the fridge to pull it all out, discover the thought of cooking is too exhausting to deal with, so you just start eating the sausage cold straight from the package while wondering if this is a sign you might be getting depressed?
I mean, not Jambalaya, but definitely.
@ganymede said in Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff:
Not me.
Two things that help me through depression: (1) work; and (2) cooking.
My partner knows I'm in deep when I'm cooking all the time.
I won't say I'm envious of your depression, because that's shitty and not the case, but I will say I am impressed by the output of your depression. What a productive coping strategy!

Finding the needle I dropped last week. Shit.
I like the line. It brings structure. Boundaries.
Respect the line.
Oh, is that when you let your rank fall or start a new account so you get matched with weaker opponents and curbstomp them?
That's usually referred to as smurfing! But this is more gaming conversation than I intended to spark with my joke. Arcane really is pretty amazingly animated. There's a lot to appreciate there, even from someone like me who got run out of League after two matches.

Arcane on Netflix (League of Legends based animated series)
Does anyone threaten to kill me or my extended family in the first few minutes or accuse of me of feeding? If not, I think the adaptation of League may not be faithful.
That being said, holy shit that's gorgeous.
Nah. It is a lazy recipe for difficult days. It's quick, it's slapdash, and it hits right where it needs to without any fuss!
Lazy Macaroni:
1 Standard box of elbow macaroni.
2x 8oz Cabot Extra Sharp White Cheddar.
You're fucking done. You've got like 5-6 servings of this now.
Roux? Crumbled up bread bits? Cowardly. Adding calories that could have been cheese.
Baking it? Cowardly. The heat from the boiled noodles knows what it's about. Let it handle that shit.
Still yet to find any restaurant macaroni that can top this.
(Shhh. Don't talk about the calories from the cheese. This was the point. Now eat your dinner.)
You will, of course, be missed. If I have any regrets, it's that our work schedules and time-zones so frequently conspired against us. You caught my attention immediately and kept it throughout your tenure. You know how to reach me if you desire, and I hope you avail yourself of it.

Fuck scalpers.
I am so sick of seeing every single thing I want to purchase go out of stock instantly from digital storefronts, usually after an hour of the store being unable to handle requests because it's being effectively DDOSed by bots running API calls.
This is so stupid.
Indeed. Fuck Capitalism is the undercurrent.

Wish these little waves of moving-related stress would go away. Like, Ikea being out of the desk I wanted to buy should not cause a toddler-esque meltdown in my brain, but it does.
...Probably because my desk currently looks like this.
Calorie deficit has worked for me in the past - I'm definitely not weighing in on the larger science because honestly? Nutritional science is an oft-contradictory nightmare that I simply don't have the resources to take a deep dive into.
That being said, I did not stick to my lifestyle changes and - more importantly - my lifestyle was altered without my consent in the forms of other issues like mental health, ruining my back by deciding that working in the back room of a book store was a great idea because it would be close to books. (PS: It doesn't matter what's in the boxes if you're on a time crunch to open as many as possible, and you destroy your back doing it.)

I realize that fat-shaming and dieting can cause psychological damage to those who cannot seem to lose the weight, but I refuse to believe this is a damned-if-you-do-or-don't situation. If anyone wants to lose weight, I'll cheer them on, and if they relapse I will still cheer them on because addictions, obesity, and cancer are all fucking monsters that aren't easy to beat but, dammit, I'm in your corner if you're going to give it a go.
And that's the attitude I'd argue most if not all people need to take. People don't need shame or pity, just support.
Citation? My dieting butt is genuinely curious to read this.
Ah, and they just gotcha'd us with 70 dollars a month of hidden fees just to park our cars. This is taking a considerable amount of wind out of my sails.
