    • RE: Development Thread: Sacred Seed

I imagine there is some upstart not seeded house that has gained it place amoung the Seedee because they control the magical contraceptive plant. (that can bring fertility or loss of it:one draughts makes you fertile the other removes it).

As a result their seeded now because this plant needs an extreme mix of conditions to thrive (heat + torrential rains)... Or maybe freezing cold conditions.

As a result there are varients of this plant and a few dozen Blessed houses... (fixing the baby factory issue as social norm is that only women, can grow, harvest and sell the plant.)

Codex alera is a good call too. Sort of.

I wish court of Groves had survived the Pruning, I think have a bunch of plant mages, who flowers, potions, and herbal knowledge made them a force, I mean it could help to explain the technology levels sort of.

I know your not , but the comparison might come up, so I am trying to figure out how to keep it from cropping up.

Looking good, the question is also -- so now this makes me think about Avatar The Last AirBender and The Legend of Korra ( respectively), and I was trying to not draw comparisons, but what keeps all this stuff seperate, if someone who specifically 'Earth Seeded' (a general seed?) vs someone who is Stone Seeded? ( what's the different?)

Can you have a child of a Water (rain seeded) person and Fire (Pyre seeded) person and so they have control over steam (which might lean towards the mist-seed of water, but they can also raise tempratures?

After a few hours I thought about adapting a character I have, a young woman considered Seedless who's seeded( tentatively choosing the court of Groves(does it exist?)

Well, this is amazing and I like it! And I think most people gave all the ideas I wanted to for the moment.

Does humanity know? Is there some kind of masquerade in place?

What makes this different from say: A world of darkness game that just has Invictus as its only covenant?

(Sorry I am trying to find things that make me want to play, though I do want to play) but if I were to tell some one else about it,

Perment building raised pre industrially will take months or years, perhaps the remenants of a city... Those good stone bones that can be built upon.

@wildbaboons I love this idea. Mostly because it opens up new avenues. SEACHEAN chanellers no longer under their Sul'dam system potentially. Seeing a world that they've never seen.

The Great Game in ebb and flow.. The riot of color Intruige and people mixing in a metropolitan city trade Hub.

For what it is worth, post book time line: with both White & Black towers ( or some new combined towers?)

I think having Rand & Co. Adventures be over is a great thing.

Or just state things have gone very differently in this world.

Not realms. Some other random game, that was years ago.

It was funny I checked like a month after they told me no and they had closed.

But it's good to see that this place should be interesting.

      @lotherio this sounds interesting.

So I am going ask since this is an alt earth: can I legitimately play a black/alt African person that doesn't have a contrived story as to how they got to not-Italy?

(I ask because I got told once on a game that I couldn't because it meant they had to explain where they would have came from.)

    • RE: Dark Ages Vampire -- Terra Mariana

This looks interesting. This makes me wanna make a human who will become ghoul to a sanctified Daeva or a salubri.

Then become a Daeva.. The ideas of a not European woman in the 1250s such ideas!
