Yeah that sums up some of my experience in Stark Trek games at least Anomaly and Gamma briefly. We need games without elaborate REport systems.

Welcome to the Garden of Shadows. We are a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
MUSH that deviates from canon, but still at its core is a MLP:FiM game.

One hundred years ago, Luna and Celestia had a disagreement about a new colony
of ponies. The outcome of this disagreement was Luna defying Celestia and
kidnapping several thousand ponies and transporting them to an alternate
dimension she found. This Garden of Shadows was already inhabited by several
races. Wolves, Deer and Shadow Kin being the most prominent. For a hundred
years Luna kept the Forever Dark at bay with her magic. However, something has
happened. The shield has fallen and the shadows creep into the Pony lands.

The Ponies have had 100 years to adjust to the Garden, adjust to the new races.
Now they must protect their lands from the Forever Dark and the shadows. The
regal Deer of Winterhorne Mountain and the Wolves of the Pack Lands are the
borders to the forever dark. And they are losing the battle. THe ponies must
step up and help defend the garden.

• We are currently under-construction, but we are taking pre-applications for
  characters to be approved on opening day.
• We offer several character races to play: Bat Pony, Crystal Pony, Deer,
  Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn, Wolf and Zebra.
• Characters /will/ have the chance to become the ascended races for their
  race. Alicorn, Lyubim and Reindeer.
• Generous Alternate Character Policy.
• We have currently some Ascended Characters available for application. These
  characters will be the starting Ascended, dealing with Lessons that players
  submit.
• We also have several staff positions available for those interested.
• We offer a dynamic storytelling environment that encourages dramatic
  actions and storytelling. We are a blend of several ideas brought together
  in a single world.
• Even if you prefer a strictly canon setting, come try us out. You might
  find we will fit your liking. We aren't ignoring canon, we are just apart
  from it on some details.

I miss Anomaly Trek MUSH/MUX. ( ATM), I mean I played Zevarin a Betazoid and I loved her. I missed Anomaly so much it was exciting and different. A ship based game, like Voyager.

i think a game that's Conan-esque with some Renaissance failr might be interesting. Something different, something not exactly Westeros.

So while not a MU*, I thought I'd advertise a game I participate in and love very much!

When the 9th Pass began, Benden Weyr was woefully underprepared; the only remaining Weyr, with a scant few hundred dragons, Benden Weyr was unable to protect the entirety of Pern from Thread. Extensive inbreeding over the Turns had brought new colours to the Weyr: cream, orange, fawn, gray and yellow dragons. But it wasn't enough. Weyrwoman Lessa and gold Ramoth gave their lives to bring the other five Weyrs forward in time.

But the Oldtimers, as they came to be known, struggled to adapt to the changes in Pern's society. They didn't like the new colours of dragons, nor the recently discovered new wher colours. And they were used to the Holds and Halls giving them everything they needed, but over the Turns the other people of Pern learned to resent Benden Weyr, and by extension, all dragonriders. Some even blamed the riders for the return of Thread.

The Oldtimer Weyrs decided to take over; F'lar and Mnementh were killed in a duel, and the new Weyrwoman, the rider of Ramoth's only golden daughter, was exiled to the Western Continent, together with every rider that supported her. They were joined by other people who objected to the Oldtimers' rule over Pern, including an expedition of wherhandlers intent on exploring the Western Continent, and a group of dolphins who rejected the Dolphin Contract and refused to help humans when humans haven't been helping them.[/align]

@nuku_v You're correct, but considering your track record, I'd play a 'higher powered pony game'. ( Most pony games seem to be lowered powered.

@nuku_v Its more like I don't enjoy pathfinder. I am not sure why, honestly, maybe I'll give ponyfinder a look. Since the Core Ponyfinger books isn't the Campaign setting it seems ( which is a seperate book) maybe my first impression wasn't the best. It was basically someone saying: You like Ponies take a look, and then lots of stat blocks and I went: But ponies is about story... not stats- or osmething to that effect.

But Personally we need a good Pony MU*.

We know we need Crystal Tokyo, ( let' base it off districts in REAL Tokyo ( come on we've gotta have Shibuya, and Shinjuku- I drew inspiration from this page: Shopping Districts of Tokyo which will give us some things to work with. I mean.. Crystal Tokyo has a fish market... and it should be amazing.

With the Senshi Academy some where,we'll need to make interesting ,maybe its a 'mini city in its own right?

Lets get rolling Last night was an interesting dicussion which I think we need to put together a list of all the 'game canon so far'. so we don't actually retread old ground.

Cause I really like he 'idea' of ponyfinder, but not the system. Ponies and pathfinder don't mesh. at least for me.

Stampede! I wanna help but, I I want to have a source book & such, since I don't play Pathfinder, but a way to play in Everglow!

As much as I love the concept, I wish it wasn't paired with PathFinder. Is there a chance you could a complile of 'setting only stuff' or a setup that gives up the bits and peices for creating Ponies with other systems that are not Pathfinder?

I basically just don't like Neo Queen Serenity being able to 'hold this all powerful card' in the crystal. Its always irked me ( as both a fan of sailor moon and of magical girl in general). I'd like to think that the Crystal was powerful because its ruler and peoples hearts,vs it being the strongest thing out of the Galaxy Cauldron. Perhaps one of many 'very bright/strong' crystals or other things' but not the 'brightest' ( but that's personal opinion and head cannon territory.

Perhaps the Shitenou teach at the Academy? Admitedly probably all the SEnshi ( FCsand not- there have to be some other planetary people like the Starlights and Kayguya that still have their populations on other worlds) teach.

Maybe the Moon Court realizes that its beneficial to try and revive as many of those traditions and planet as possible (even if seeding them with earth people to rebuild their populations, if neessacery, to get those Star Seeds awake).

Also what would be there reason for other planetary bodies's populations to reincarnate on earth (it makes little sense).

Also is it plausible that 'Gems of power' (aka the Silver Crystal), from various other worlds exist? How do we handle those? ( they're probably very dormant and sleepy by now. So getting one (or having to reforge one- Rainbrow crystals from the Sailor Moon Classic, style could be an option.

I lean more towards BF and MM's 'we drawn on the tropes to be build other themes'. And in theory the Silver Crystal 's power is probably not singular, there are probably many other stones or what have ou of similar strength, in the universe.

I know I wrote a story about how the Silver Millenium, The Belkan Empire from Nanonha, and many other Magical 'kingdoms', (including the ancient kingdom in SymphoGear), are all 'Second Generation' kingdoms.

And there was a 'First'' kingdom before them. ( There by allowing 'themes' and series to have a 'place' and be part of the 'First' or 'Second' generations- because I just find it highly unlikely that there are NOT other 'Silver Crystal' level objects in the universe.

I know I would certainly use the Star Gate Route- which is a great idea, @Bobotron . It allows NSQ to 'empower/ or perhaps try and ressurect the other fallen Senshi/Knight 'traditions'. ( So we'll make the Silver Millenium & Moon Court- the equivalent of the 'Jedi Counsel' from the Star Wars Movies', but there are dozens of OTHER 'tradtions', that are just rearly touched on ( like in RPG or extended universe material.).

So If the Moon Court is the Jedi counsel, then hundreds of other traditions were simply small, but have found new life in the StarWays/Gates, and people come to them seeking to defend their friends, families, and worlds.

There are a ton of ways you can pitch this.
