RE: The Makeup Thread
I am not sure how it would handle straightening, but I have had good luck with the biolage 'styling glaze' over many years. It used to be salon-only, but I've found it at Target and similar in recent years. It's not super cheap, but it's not omfg high end, either, and a little goes a very long way.
It tamed 'I watched the Costner Robin Hood too many times, clearly' bad immediately post-80s perm in hellish summer humidity, so I can definitely say that stuff is fucking magic. It's surprisingly thin and light, too, so it doesn't feel like you're wearing a ton of product in your hair. (I despite that feeling so, so much.)

RE: What MU/RPG opinions have you changed or maintained?
@Derp I seriously think that ends up being a good explanation of much of life. That dang character is smarter than me. She really is.

RE: RL things I love
@Rinel I have an unfortunate fondness for their chicken nuggets that I am free of until I can eat solid food again. (...in about a year.
) But it is a guilt-free year on that front and something about that is genuinely lovely. I discount no upsides!

RE: Random funny
@Auspice I physically flinched when I saw it, and made a horrified shocked noise... out loud.
And it still post-surgery hurts to talk, so like, unexpected blurt of horror noise will likely be something I will pay for for hours to come, but that thing earned it.

...but it should honestly be in comic sans for maximum impact.

I used to think that staff victimized players. Now I realize we just victimize ourselves.
Even IC, the character I've been playing for the past year or so now (OMG, it's been more than a year?!) has come to the following conclusion:
"You're sometimes the hero of your own story. You're ultimately also its principle villain."

@Seamus Caffeine withdrawl is about equivalent to a migraine from hell for most folks. You have my sincerest sympathy.
(If ever you don't have to cut out caffeine... omg, don't.)

I will not murder my father in his sleep.

RE: Kickstarter
@Ghost I got the 'so you're racist' when I wouldn't give a preteen a cigarette right in front of a cop. No, I'm just, you know, not completely stupid, thanks.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2019
I think what we see here is the old sci-fi 'if it's metallic fabric, they'll all think it's something impressive from the future' ploy.
I give this iteration a 6/10 for choosing foiled fabric in a relatively small-scale geometric print that reads 'extra futurelicious' at a distance, which I will raise to a 7/10 if they actually did cut that up and patch it together from a late 80s club dress.
The sash gets a 9/10 because it appears to be made using the magic costuming technique of 'knit it in a metallic and/or foil it, and it will look like chainmail', which one of our teachers kept promising they'd teach us some day if we got her drunk enough. (Alas, she did not drink, and thus it is lost to a whole generation, but I've spotted it in use here and there in movies and TV over time.)

RE: Cyberrun
he keeps making the option available based on some kind of freedom of expression grounds
There's some things I feel quite free expressing I would rather people not so freely express, this being one of them.
