Absolutely, but that's targeted to the person making the complaint. There's a HUGE difference between that and public shaming of a bbpost saying "Faraday screwed up and has been warned." If I saw a game doing that for every infraction, it would be a huge red flag to me. But that's just me personally.

Unfortunately for every complainant, there's bound to be a few people that had a similar issue with a person but didn't do anything about it - for whatever reason. There has to be some method of spreading the news that punishment, or whatever one wants to call it, has been meted out without turning it into some sort of public shaming.

That's not air, that's an atmosphere. There's a difference.

In my part of Australia it is "fizzy drink" or "soft drink."
Fizzy because... it's fizzy. Soft because, by default, drink means booze.

@Derp seems to agree with me, so to remove the hole in the pit of my stomach, I'll clarify. If you truly, truly believe that someone is putting on a mask like a girl in a nightclub, ask them privately if they're okay. If they say yes, then assume that they're okay and go on with your life.

This, I believe, is where you went wrong. The person you were paging had already taken action against the harasser, so it was quite evident that they were not okay but were also quite capable of handling things themselves.
