      @Auspice There's actually a reason we do that, though.

      Go oooon....

      Not to that extreme, obviously. But the idea is to encourage the kind of mindset that looks for reason and meaning in text, even when it is not evident. Why was X written this way? What is the author trying to make you think? Etc.

      You know, the kind of thing the world needs more of when consuming media.

      Chet is the person fiction writers tend to assume stoners are like.

      @Meg

      "Divinity is a nougat-like confection made with egg white, corn syrup, and sugar. Optional ingredients such as flavors, chopped dried fruit and chopped nuts are frequently added. Replacing the sugar with brown sugar results in a related confection called "sea foam"."

      POCs were definitely a thing in medieval Europe, and the only people claiming otherwise are white supremacists pushing an ideal all-white European age of glory that never existed.

      In general, absolutely. In specific... it's sometimes spotty. But if you specifically set your game in a place and/or time that doesn't have POCs... then you've got to be exceptionally careful, and damn sure you can't tell your story elsewhere/elsewhen.

      I don't get why you would dig into being defensive about it instead of trying to get an understanding of why people are saying what they are.

      This is the internet.

      I didn't restrict your asian character, I restricted your weird-ass concept that happens to have asian stereotype culture tags just slapped on it.

      Unfortunately, that's about 90% of the Asian character concepts I've seen about. That and all persons from middle central and south America are gang bangers with as loose a grasp on civility as is possible, etc, etc. And not all of those are caught in the CG process.

      Not to excuse the outright banning of 'Asian' characters, but I can certainly understand why people would get sick and tired of stealth-shitty concepts sneaking through so just put a strongly-worded moratorium on them entirely.

      From what I've seen in the past she's an asshole about the actions people take, not an asshole about who people are.

      To many shitty people, sexuality and gender identity aren't who people are. They're choices being made.

      I'm not saying that's how Pandora views it, just that it's hardly outside the realm of possibility.
