Real World Mild Annoyance of the Moment: Routers should respond appropriately to threats of physical harm.

I would say that, given a router acts more like a single entity in multiple bodies, where any number of them are ultimately disposable, it' s doing just that.

But it's not reacting in the way I want it to, so it's cheating. I rolled my damned social dice.

"Rome" in the English language has been reserved for the city-state and attendant western political entities.

Then that didn't end until 1806 with the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire...

      the fall of Rome

      Which one?

I was thinking the deposing of Romulus Augustulus.

That was the fall of Ravenna, then.

Rome is metonymy for the Empire, you semantical flibertigibbet.

Then it didn't fall until May of 1453.

So, Tempest & co., bring on the mockery that surr's whining again, I guess. I expect nothing else from you; it doesn't even bother me any more.

If there's one bit of advice I can offer it's this: Stop doing that. You can't face problems if all you see in front of you are people mocking you for trying. Deal with the issue(s), not the people.

@Thenomain Yes. But WoD games don't typically rely on space systems that force sections of the playerbase into isolation for extended periods of time.

I don't see the point of coded travel systems, to be honest.

In other environs, coded space systems add a layer of.. simulation, I guess, to the game. Star Trek and Star Wars are all about the space battles and all that jazz.

But in this case, you're right. The problem with Serenity originally is that there just... wasn't a plot a lot of the time. Not one that the various crews didn't make up themselves.

If memory serves, DSpace is the weird maze that is Tatooine on AoA that literally takes you 2 hours to move from one room to the next

The 'original' use of the term DSpace was the thing that HSpace was spawned from, back in the way before. Short for 'Dune Space', IIRC, as it was made for Dune MUSH.

ETA: I could be misremembering very, very badly. Or two different things just happened to use the same shortened name.
