Recently I had to have my oldest admitted to a... mental facility, for the lack of a better way to put it. I am conflicted by what I had to do. On one hand, he is finally getting the help he needs and this is going to help get the ball rolling with getting him on SSI-D, insured, etc. But, on the other hand, I miss him, I want him home, I am scared shitless that he'll be angry at me for doing this to him, scared about the medication... so many fears, still.

Okay, you win. But no fair pulling the cute puppy gif card, damn you!

RE: King of Sex Mountain
I don't know if this is hilarious or if this is a sign that I am horribly gullible, but I am still sitting here, trying to figure out if y'all are serious about this or whut.

RE: Not even sure what to title this, but here goes..
Fair enough, and in hindsight it wasn't my question to ask but, like I said, I was curious.

RE: Not even sure what to title this, but here goes..
Where I'd normally agree with you, I think an explanation is more than warranted in this instance. I don't want to get into a long, drawn out debate on the subject, but I will say that considering people were treated as badly as they were by her, they have a right to know why it has taken so long to get an apology.

RE: Not even sure what to title this, but here goes..
So what you're saying is that you've had your so-called 'come to Jesus moment' and seen the err of your ways and all that? I am curious as to what made you see it now and not back when people here were talking about your behavior. I am curious as to why you were so behavior blind then only to suddenly become aware of how you were acting now. What happened to make you realize that you behaved beyond badly and owed a lot of people an apology?
While an apology is nice, you need to do more than admit you behaved in a shitty manner and say you're sorry. You need to back this all up with actions. Prove to the people you are apologizing to that you've changed. Don't fall back on past behaviors and start acting like that PHB (to use your acronym) that drove people away. Show them that you're striving to be a better version of yourself and that you've grown past all that bat shit, insane behavior you were guilty of. Then move on. Don't belabor it. Let them decide if they want to forgive you and try to rebuild the friendship, or let them walk away if they feel keeping you at arm's length is for the best. And remember... the onus is on you to do the heavy lifting, so to speak. It is up to you to fix things.

RE: twitch
I know this is an odd time to stream (have to work around my oldest's mood and the fact that I stream from the living room) but am going to be doing a 12 hour stream tonight, starting at 11pm CST. Trying to raise money for St. Jude. twitch.tv/tiredewok

RE: What do you eat?
I have nothing against eating meat and/or fruit and/or vegetables, loving just about everything, but I really just balk at the idea of eating 'fake meat'. I don't know why, but my brain just can't get wrapped around the concept.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2019
I heard of his passing but didn't know who he was. I'll have to look him up.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2019
I woke up to the news that Grumpy Cat had passed away. Really sad.

RE: Recycling characters
Personally, I have no problem with reusing concepts/characters, nor do I have issues with people who do that. As @Pondscum pointed out, sometimes you still have stories you'd to continue and a game is closing or somehow doesn't work out. I'm planning on trying to do that with an old TR alt of mine, my changeling Whisper, once Miami opens, although she won't be 100% like she was on since I don't have a @decomp for her.

RE: Empire State Heroes Mush
There's nothing wrong with venting one's frustration over a situation, which it sounds like what Shelbeast is doing. Better to do it here and get it off one's chest than blow up on the game after things come to a head.

RE: WoW Classic
So I have decided that I am going to make a Twitch community-based guild for my WoW Classic guild. Going to name it ThePotatoSquad, or some iteration of that if that's too long. Going to be Alliance side, since I think that's what I am going to play the most. Poke me once the game's live if anyone's interested!

RE: WoW Classic
Don't forget the fact that hunters also had a mana pool. I actually loved that and have missed it. My 200k+ mana pool in WotLK was something I was super proud of. This 100 focus bullshit pisses me off.

RE: WoW Classic
Keep in mind that they're using the last patch iteration for this. If I remember correctly, that was when things got a little bit less grindy and all that. So yeah, things might've been shit in the earlier versions/patches, but that miiiiiiiight not be how it winds up being.

RE: WoW Classic
It was the same in other eras of WoW as well. Part of why I only ever raided casually and never got into doing the huge raids.

RE: WoW Classic
That had crossed my mind as well. We've learned those techniques ages ago. Back then, we were having to learn how to dodge AOEs and heal through massive damage and all that, all things we've learned by now. So maybe it won't be so difficult now. Who knows? Will be interesting to see.
I think there is a point where things like MTG and WoW Classic hit the 'what's old is new/cool again' stage. There are a lot of people who were too young to play Magic and Vanilla World of Warcraft when they first came out so they get the thrill of experiencing it for the first time now. I guess it's like how a lot of us played pogs as a kid when it was a game that had been around for a long time before the 90s. We loved it because, to us, it was new.
