No one has ever NPCed Alfred. There has been mention of him, as in wondering if Alfred had coffee made (in a pose I made), but no one has ever RPed him as an NPC outright. We just got told by staff via we can't even mention him in RP, so there are no fucking double standards.

Now, that said, I think the rules about how you can't mention someone in your app/RP who is an important part of your character's background by name is pretty fucking asinine. First off, most of the support characters, like Alfred or a parental unit or whatever, rarely get apped. Secondly, if you app a character like Alfred, Aunt May, Helena Sandsmark, etc, you have to do so with the understanding that you are apping a character who is an important part of another FC's life and may have been NPCed and/or had things established in the other FC's background (like being related to the other character) and/or in RP.

ETA: Nothing I said was meant to ruffle staff feathers. Just needed/wanted to vent and voice my opinion on the subject.

This is a long shot, but there was someone I used to RP with on Fallcoast who played a Changeling named Ditto, this being back in the spring of 2017. If anyone knows them and has a way to get a hold of them, please let them know that Tempest says hello.

I am from the San Diego area originally, grew up using 'soda'. My dad, who is from Michigan, always called it 'pop'. Guess it just depends on what part of the country you're from. Very regional.

I'm curious enough to give this a try.

My current bummer: a lot of my friends are off at conventions or Disney World or other things. I'm happy for them but I miss them!

Really, this is a small peeve compared to many that have been posted, but need to get this off of my chest.

I love playing multiplayer games. WoW, Overwatch... games like that are my jam.

What isn't my jam is playing games like those during the summer when all the little edgelord assholes are home for break and want to be toxic pieces of shit. Ugh.

I am all for an OC heroes game, but yeah, got to be careful of what system you use. Anything too numbers-crunchy runs the risk of potentially keeping people away. Not sure what's new and/or improved, though. Am out of the loop, myself, but it looks like others are up to date with all the neat new systems out there. Keep us posted if you do this, please. Would love to check it out!

Thank you to all for everything, from the information and advice and the offer of someone to talk to. I am sorry for not saying thank you before now, but I really was in my feels, as that saying goes, and got myself into a bit of a funk as a result. But I do appreciate everything.

Good news is that he'll hopefully be home soon. The doctor's doing the right thing by not rushing him out the door too soon and I am grateful that is the case. I spoke to my son today and he seriously sounded like a different person in a good way. He was accepting of the fact that he was going to have to stay for a little while where that news a couple days ago sent him into a tizzy and caused him to hang up on me (he did end the call abruptly, but only because I made him emotional by calling him brave). He even asked about his brother, saying how he misses him, and asked me to let his daddy know he misses him, too. There is a long road ahead of us to get the rest of the things done, but we're getting there, slowly but surely.

I am craving Star Wars RP, especially if the FC are more background character type NPCs instead of characters people can RP as. The time between The Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope would be righteous as it'd give a lot of wiggle room for theme.

Unfortunately, he's several towns over which means it'll be hard for us (none of us drive currently) to go see him, but we'll definitely try to get out there as much as we possibly can.
