    • RE: NOLA 2: Back in the Vieux

      I saw Tony's wikipage.

      First, I was uncomfortable.
Second, I thought that the player might not be a Black person.

And now, I'm trying to figure out how they added "Neanderthal" to the description when Neanderthal genes are mostly found in people of Caucasian genotypes.

    • RE: Good or New Movies Review

I was greatly entertained by The Old Guard.

And I just want to say: Joe and Nicky. Nicky and Joe.

      Thank you.

Like damn, let me be a wizard who does sexy wizard things, but also I can do other wizard things, and Doom Guy won't suddenly walk in like "I'M GONNA FUCK YOUR SEXY WIZARD THINGS!!!"

This sounds like if someone made an Oglaf MUSH.

    • RE: Diversity Representation in MU*ing

One of the many issues in diversity in MU*ing is the setting.

      Here's a WoD/CoD example:

Yes, there are Black people in New England, but when every single game is set in Small New England Town, New England State, it is a reach to figure out why my Black Vampire/Mage/Changeling/Werewolf is in this area. Everyone has to come up with reasons, and I have. But knowing that realistically my character would, at the very least, stick out in a crowd, makes upholding that IC Masquerade difficult in Small New England Town.

Sure, put your game in a place that you want. But when you look at the character roster and it looks like the campus of BYU...maybe it's your setting.

...can we please not wake up tomorrow in the opening credits of the Watchmen film again, country?

'cause that would be seriously great.

We've been waking up in the opening credits of the Watchmen HBO TV show for a while now. A long while.

Cupcake already mentioned Black Nerd Comedy, which I love.

Food Wishes with Chef John, who is the Bob Ross of cooking. Good natured with a little bit of snark, self-effacing, lots of puns.

Casually Comics. Sasha talks comics, old, new, deep dives into obscure or underused characters.

Fact Fiend with Karl Smallwood. Hilarious talk about pop culture facts.

Overly Sarcastic Productions. Blue does breakdowns of different moments and times in history (he leans heavily into the Roman Empire/Italy). Red does mythology and writing tropes, and provides cartoony art for both. They are entertaining and educational.

Readus 101, with La'Ron Readus. Reviews of movies, tv shows, comics and books with wit and style. If you like Black Nerd Comedy, you might like La'Ron.

Jack Sheldon passed away 12/27/19. He was a jazz musician who would probably be best known to most here as the lead singer for the Schoolhouse Rock songs "I'm Just A Bill" and "Conjunction Junction".

POLL: Do you want A Normal Freehold That's Always Been There But Nobody Really Ever RPed About It or do you want There Was A Scary Thing That Kept Changelings Away But Now It's Gone And That's Its Own Kind of Scary? Caveat: I may ignore what the responses are and do what I want anyway. I may also steal ideas here that are not those two and run with them if they're better than mine.

I vote for the latter. Maybe have the remains of the old Freehold and other Changeling stuff scattered around for people to find. Also, did the Scary Thing have something to do with the Accords as well?
