When another character can walk circles around yours because the player is just that good. Like, nothing to do with social dice, they just know exactly which buttons to press.

It's simultaneously the most humbling, slightly frustrating, and impressive thing.

...I mean, he's a shitty person, but he's arguably a pretty decent director and writer. Whether or not we consume what he creates is a completely different discussion.

I had a story end within ten minutes.

I picked wizard, showed up at some ruins where there was a crying little girl. I asked her what was wrong and she couldn't remember her mom, so I cast a spell to help her remember, and then asked if she wanted to become my apprentice.

This apparently meant I was leaving the mortal world and passing my powers on. She gave me a big old hug and ran off to play with friends, and then the game said THE END.

I don't think I've laughed that hard for a while, it was so unexpected.

I've gone from being painfully lonely to not really giving a shit.

People kept telling me this is the secret first step to finding someone so...maybe there's hope yet???

I think everyone has one of those stories, and they're all fantastic.

I actually feel like I'm missing out in not having any particularly embarrassing ones. My kid's mom and I lived with her fam for a while, but they didn't really give a shit. We'd get really mildly teased sometimes if we were ever unintentionally overheard but they all had a very nonchalant attitude about sex.

I mean, I guess the most embarrassing thing there was walking into her mom's room once to discover she and her husband had accidentally left their sex swing attached to the ceiling. I had no idea what it was and I asked my ex's sister about it wondering if it was like....I don't even know, a prop for a cast??? To keep a leg elevated???? Like I was worried her mom or step-dad had gotten hurt. And her sister was like, horrified and just basically went, "oh you sweet summer child."

I think a little blurb about each of these or why you like them would be awesome for people reading the thread who might be sniffing around for new podcasts (COUGHmeCOUGH), rather than long cut and dry lists, buuuut that is totally just imho.

This was a point really well made by the RedLetterMedia guys too, in their review. That Abram's goal was really just to create a spectacle that overwhelmed you into being impressed and prevented you from actually asking any questions about any particular plot point by cramming the next one down your throat.

Which...it's Abrams. Par for the course.

I'm not necessarily familiar with it but I have read about it and it seems like a lot of fun.

If this is for a MU*, goddamn I am pumped.

Walking into a scene with high hopes but a little nervousness because it's gonna be with strangers aside from the fuckin' AWESOME person who organized the whole thing (<3!!!), and then having those hopes exceeded in every way possible.

Just like, CRAZY great RP that happens in a very novel way, shocking revelations that somehow fit your character and the other characters perfectly and leave so much to dig into, the realization that you just made new instant game buddies...

What a great night, I am going to be gushing for weeks

I have mild rosacea, mostly just in my cheeks; it's always earned me a lot of teasing from coworkers and acquaintances, and it's just one of those small aggravating things I've dealt with for years now. "OHOHO LOOK WHO'S BLUSHING!" Stop, jeez.

Tonight, my kiddo came up to me and it looked like his cheeks were really really flushed. I was like, "Little dude, what's going on?"

And he was like, "I put red chalk on my cheeks so I can look as cool as you!"

AHHHHHHHHHHH. Freaking kids man, they are so sweet.

Kind of sounds like if you ever played the Knights of the Old Republic games you should be good.

If not, it's honestly not that different from the prequel movies. The Old Republic is basically the same government, Jedi are a massive peacekeeping/diplomatic monastic order, the story beats are all pretty recognizable.

I think if you read over the Wookiepedia article for the summary of what the conflict was you'll probably be set.
