RE: Zarkon's Playlist
So I haven't updated this in a while. I also played Harlan on Arx -- that's really the only change, really. With me streaming during nights now, I don't really have time for mu*ing other than slowly while at work. Anyway, yeah. 7 years with no update, I'm bad.

RE: Atlantis Client
I'm trying the beta, on Mojave -- the previous version on the website kept eating my world listing on the left so I wouldn't be able to access things. Let's hope that stops happening!
-
RE: twitch
I stream as well, but have gotten to the point where I actively tell people on Twitter and in my stream title to go watch someone else.

RE: Want To Move to Austin?
Already in Austin (and have been here for 10 years)

Zarkon's playlist
Y'know, I should really change my name on here -- I haven't used Zarkon anywhere in ..... probably 10-15 years.
So.
What I -remember-.
PernMush: Zarkon/Z'kon (I was a fucking idiot for most of this -- well, most of the 90s, really)
SouCon: Veyon/V'yon
Texas Twilight: Alexandre
AmberMush: Veyon
Uncanny X-Mush: Longshot, Alexandre (I think)
Children of the Atom: Iceman, I think? Or Longshot. Either. I don't know.
A lot of other X-Men mu*s: Can't remember
Other superhero places: Can't remember.
Other WoD places: Can't remember
Other places in general: Still can't remember
Firan: Zutrik
Arx: Harlan -
RE: Heroes & Villains MUX
Best of luck to you guys on this. Hope it goes well.

RE: RenoMUSH - The Biggest Little Game on the Net
In the process of creating a character on Reno. Slowly but surely, anyway.

@Jaded
Let's see. Things I would have liked, or did like, around that age...- Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi - kinda crazy, about kids from Osaka world-hopping
Also about puberty/growing up.

RE: An-E-May
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood should be okay, if he watched Naruto -- granted, depends on if he watched the dub or not -- they may have censored it.
I'd say a number of 4koma anime (A Channel, Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, Working! and the like) would be safe -- just depends on if he'd like it -- they're not typically 'boy' anime.
A lot of the problem is that (again, depending on where he watched things) much of what's shown on broadcast TV here is censored. So even the ORIGINAL VERSION of what he's watched may not be suitable in your friend's opinion.
You also have to remember that Japan doesn't have the nudity taboos that we have, as well.
I'd also highly recommend most of the Ghibli movies, honestly. Not just to you and his son, but ANYONE. They're all great to some degree or another.

RE: An-E-May
@Cobaltasaurus 100% agree with B Gata H Kei, also. It was solid IMO.

Eden of the East? Anyone else ever watch it?
'Another' is a good anime as well- goes along well with the standard superstitions that result in crazy horror stories.Loved both of them. Still need to watch the Eden movie though. And god, Another...shudder

Here's a short list of anime I like. Maybe you'll like it too.
Puella Madoka Magica - Really, really great deconstruction of the magical girl genre. If you haven't watched it you're missing out. Perfect for Sailor Moon fans. Remember to watch the first three episodes in one sitting.
This will BREAK most magical girl fans. It's not happy happy. BE WARNED
Other ideas:
Scryed (older, but very solid sci-fi series)
A Certain Magical Index / A Certain Scientific Railgun. You can either watch it in order of release, or chronological order. I think release order is a bit better, honestly. Railgun is a spinoff of Index.
Angel Beats -- What happens after you die -- especially if you have unresolved issues and are in high school?
Clannad -- oh god...the FEELS. Best part -- the actual game is coming to Steam!
Darker than Black -- YES YES YES. So very very good.
Code Geass -- YES! Not much gore, but so very psychologically dark and twisted.
Lucky Star -- Just sheer insanity. Enjoy the ride. Same can be said about Azumanga Daioh
Nodame Cantible -- if you're into music at all, this is really good, and has a romance in it as well.
Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate and so on -- There's a bit of gore in this, and it's very dark in places, but also very good. (Note: I've yet to see Steins;Gate)
Toradora! -- Great romcom with lots of humor.
One Outs -- baseball anime. I haven't heard a lot of people talk about this, but it's very solid, IMO.
K-On -- 2 series of MOE. It's cute, and fun, about a high-school 'light music' band, all girls.
Kanamemo -- cute series about an orphan girl working for a newspaper.
Amagami and Amagami SS -- So if you aren't a fan of harem series, this is your cure. Start with typical harem...but then split the series into seperate arcs as 'what if'. So each arc is self-contained in the first series, and is just how the main character goes after /one/ girl. Then it resets repeatedly. I liked it.
Baka and Test -- more insanity -- not sure how much you're into the insane-ness, but this has it in spades
Just going to throw a few more out for fun:
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?
Freezing (VERY good, but dark)
Working! and Working!! -- oh god, so funny
Accel World
Another (NOT for you, for others. VERY VERY VERY dark, gory and scary. It's a Japanese ghost story.)
Inu x Boku SS
Monogatari (series)
Haruhi -- Yes, even the 2nd series. Deal with it.
The 'Hentai' Prince and the Stony Cat
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
Sailor Moon Crystal -- retelling of the original, but more manga-based.
Durarara -- YES YES YES. -
RE: RenoMUSH - The Biggest Little Game on the Net
@icanbeyourmuse I'm always open for things hooking to other things. Don't have any preference on playing male/female good/neutral/evil.
Someone throw some ideas at me and I'll see what I can come up with.

RE: RenoMUSH - The Biggest Little Game on the Net
So if I haven't played WoD in 15-20 years, and don't own any of the books, would it be worth me going on here as a mortal?

RE: 2MsPris' Playlist
Oh god, I remember Crack. Vaguely. Couldn't tell you who/what I played, but I remember it having Highlander rules!

Zarkon's Playlist
This...is going to be missing a lot. A LOT. This is what happens when you've been doing this crap forever and a day and have forgotten all of the characters you've played. Some of these games I'll come back to when I remember who the hell I played there.
(In no particular order)
Firan: Solgarik (2nd one), Zutrik (2nd/3rd)
AmberMush: Veyon
Veil of Seduction: Alexandre
Texas Twilight:
Purgatory:
CotA (I)
Uncanny X-Mush:
CotA (II):
MXT:
PernMush (NorCon): Zarkon/Z'kon
SouCon:
Cuendillar: Amalric
Brave and the Bold (I think): The Ray
Probably another 15-20 games that I can't remember to save my life.
