So i have obtained a PDF of the book, while I wait for my physical copy. I have just started reading it while prepping for my birthday party. I am really jazzed about the fact you are playing something evil. There are little clues littered through out the fluff. Like the Arriving from the street into the lair of an elder is a humbling experience – no less so, if the guest kneels in their black jeans and T-shirt before an ageless monster in a chalk-white dress made from human skin. just really makes me want to actually play Vampire with this setting. I haven't gotten to far into it, more when that happens.

Update: So I have gotten to the part of the book about damage. I am really excited to see that 5th includes "Willpower" damage. So you can be impaired by social/mental attacks as well as physical ones. This makes the social maneuvering of the Camarilla even more lethal in a sense.

When I ran an Anime game with underage characters... 12 and 13 year olds. It was stated quite plainly, that while we would allow the Puppy Love situations, and we used Sakura and Li from Card Captor Sakura as a perfect example of what was and was not appropriate. Anything beyond that, would be grounds for player removal. We did not tolerate the happy funtime touchy moments and had ZERO tolerance for those who wanted persue those. In fact we removed 4 players for testing my resolve with this.

It varies based on tribe, auspice, personality, etc.

Some tribes, garou, auspices might argue that the litany only requires them do certain things but doesn't inherently make them in charge. "Cleaving to the mortal world" doesn't mean to treat kinfolk like baby farms who dont count, but could also mean to cleave to their wisdom and respect them for their burden to be the parents of children who they will inevitably have to see go off to fight with a life expectancy of less than 10 years post-change.

W:tA, like all WoD, is subject to the whims and interpretation of the people who play it, but nowhere in the books does it state these things to be standards.

It is absolutely possible that a pack could bind around a Kinfolk as the heart and soul of their pack.

I imagine the Tribes most likely to treat Kinfolk as 2nd class to be: Get of Fenris, Shadow Lords, Red Talons, Silver Fangs, and maybe Uktena

But could I see Wendigo, Black Furies, Children of Gaia, and Glass Walkers honoring their kinfolk at higher levels? Totally.

Red Talons don't have human kinfolk, that survive...

Wow. I guess I'm gonna be the odd man out. I eat a 90% Carnivore Diet. I was raised on a working farm, we supplied all our own food, well to be truthful like 98% of it. If I don't have meat, I don't really feel like I have eaten. But I'm a respectable carnivore. When I went to a Meat-Lite friend's house for dinner, they served Boca Burgers. I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't call it 'meat' or a 'meat replacement' but they have been added to my food rotation as something for a change of pace. They're great with some thick peppered bacon on em.

My daughter went through her No Meat phase, and I think she's still in it. So I learned to cook tofu and all that stuff for her. I don't ever force anyone to eat what they aren't comfortable with, I respect their choice, as long as they respect mine. Unless your my kid, then when you don't eat what you asked for... You will eat it or you will sit at the table until you do. It's probably a LOT better hot than cold. #dadfact

Frankly Suspect and all that is mild compared to some of the hardcoded tools out there. Rhost is a perfect example of what can be done. They have a spoof function that allows you to monitor in real time all the input and output sent to/from the MUSH for a specific connection(IE Player).

While I understand that @Auspice likes the idea of having privacy, the real truth is that once you log into a MUSH/Ares/Evennia/MUX/etc, you probably are waiving it. While some servers like Ares doesn't really have any 'spy' tools built into it. It's flexible enough that one can be added with a little code knowledge. So I always assume, when I log into any MUSH, that I am being watched every which way but loose. It's better for my sanity that way.

Well his current release date is 2045. So I am satisfied he will learn his lesson.

I think a lot has to do with the Military style setting more.than anything. I think the game would need to be like DS9 to allow for the most wide range of PC concepts to make it work.
