RE: Cyberrun

...Wow
I just thought it'd be helpful to correct a miss-assumption understandably made by people who haven't played the game or talked to anyone who've played the game. I'm not saying don't hate it, I'm just saying hate it accurately.
If you think it's the worst thing ever that's cool, just maybe appreciate that other people might not? Like at least for some people having a kinkslist doesn't mean every character and RP interaction is going to be sexual, it just means that if RP becomes sexual you know what the other person does and doesn't want you to do to their butt.
And while you can hate what you hate again at least for some people there is a difference between adults in physically immature bodies and underage characters. I know I'd personally find a 20 year old with the mental age of a 13 year old a lot more disturbing than visa versa, but hey, that's me, you do you man. Just maybe can we find our way to appreciating that people can hold a view like that and not be a worshipper of Satan?
There is so much wrong with this, I am not sure where to begin.
- In the eyes of the law, a 20 year old with a mental capacity of 13 might as well as be a child, regardless of their physical age.
- Just because some people might be into this, does not make it right. It should not be allowed to be perpetuated. Even on TV, there is no glorification of this mental illness.
- This type of place is a stain on the hobby. Even Shang didn't stoop to this level of blatant in your face of it. We all knew it was happening, but it was something not talked about. That's a bit easier to ignore, because it's just RP. This... Yeah.
If you support this game, you should be ashamed of yourself. I am all for freedom of speech, and that's what this technically is, but there is such a thing of moral decency and in our community, we really don't look too kindly on this. @Staricide if I were you, I'd just stop defending this place before you get a reputation that you don't want.

RE: Tablet keyboard
To be fair some of the hate on Apple is due to the way Apple presents themselves and isolates themselves from the main stream. A prime example of this is that Apple has gone out of its way to make sure that gaming on a Mac is a less than full-filling endeavor. This is not to say that I have a hate for Apple or anything, just that they've done enough marketing to encourage this OS war stupidity. Apple is superior in some aspects, Unix is superior in some aspects and wait for it.... Windows is superior in some aspects. There is no "Perfect" OS, and I use all three in my house.

I got a 80" QLED TV for my living room. So I could finally move the 50" into my bedroom for the Playstation 4 Pro and Switch goodness.

I think what disturbs me most is that the original comment ('I know I'd personally find a 20 year old with the mental age of a 13 year old a lot more disturbing...') implies they'd be totally OK with sex with a 13-year-old who is 'mature for their age.'
When I was 15/16, I actually pulled out my ID on three separate occasions to prove to people I wasn't 20+. I developed young, so I looked older than I was (to the extent that twice I got offered/served alcohol without question while out with my parents).
That 'maturity' and shit didn't matter when a guy who was 21 began trying to hook up with me while I was 15. The whole rest of the group came down on it.
Physical or mental: sex with someone underage is wrong.
Oh absolutely. I mean I've been able to buy alcohol without being carded since I was 15. That doesn't really make it legal. And you're right, I didn't quite glean that from that on the first reading. I think the whole place needs to be burned down and the creator taken to be beaten soundly with the Stick of Common Decency and Sense(tm).

RE: Daily Routines
The moment I wake up breaks out into song Err no...
- 350am - Wake up. Get oldest boy up.
- 355am - Make him a shake.
- 400 to 405am - Kick him out the door for his mandatory 5 mile jog.
- 500 to 530am - Kick Oldest into shower cause he stinks. He usually goes back to bed until his brothers get up.
- 405am till 600am - Game, Drink Coffee, Read News, Pay Bills, whatever needs to be done.
- 600am - Wake up Twins. Get them heading toward the showers.
- 610am - Start Brekkie for Twins and Myself.
- 630am - Check over Twins Homework. Verify anything that needs to be signed is signed.
- 645am - Pack Lunches for kids. (Usually just twins, but occasionally the oldest wants food)
- 700am - Walk dog with twins to bus stop. (Throughly go out of my way to embarrass them as much as possible doing this. I had curlers in my hair this morning.)
- 730am - Kick oldest out to his bus stop. Tell him to not be a terrorist at school and only sell drugs if he plans on bringing me the money. (I'm such a good Influence)
- 735 to 800am - Clean up the kitchen, feed the dogs, pack my lunch, pack hubby's lunch.
- 800am - Hop in the shower and get dressed.
- 845 - Leave for work.
- 900am-ish - Show up for work.
- 900am-ish til 600pm - Work (Pure hell)
- 600 to 630pm - Head home, pick up any straggler kids/hubby from places and finally get home.
- 700pm - Usually start dinner, or pick it up.
- 800pm - Threaten children about homework and the varying degrees of insanity I will go through to make sure they are educated.
- 800 till around 1am or so - Whatever the fuck I want...
- Rinse and Repeat!

RE: @lock help?
Ok, let's say this:
Global Lock Object(#100) - This is a wizard object that you have set inherit to wizard powers and is used to store your generic locks on that are used by a lot of systems.
Staff: General Discussions(#123) - This is your board object in question.
Channel Object: Staff (#125) - The channel object for the staff channel.&lock.staff #100=[orflags(%0,WZ)]
&canread #123=[u(#100/lock.staff,%0)]
&canwrite #123=[u(#100/lock.staff,%0)]RE: Channels.
&canuse #125=[u(#100/lock.staff,%#)]
@lock #125=canuse/1
@lock/use #125=canuse/1
@lock/enter #125=canuse/1NOW! This is to say I'm not sure if the @lock can handle @lock #125=#100/lock.staff/1 (I don't think it can, but been a while with mux, they have made a few changes.) So I always referenced "Canuse" on the object and reference the global lock storage object, but this is just my style. You can always keep the locks directly on the object that you want to lock. It's your choice.
Chargen/Stat Based locks.
Whatever stat system you're using I would need to know to give you an example, but if you have something like a getstat() function or whatever, you would just slap that into the lock setup I showed above and it should work.

I will second that. I was looking forward to it. I wanted to live in the crazy world that is Lovecraft. I still watch "To Cast A deadly Spell" often just for the wacky fun of it.

Well, I mean, Vampires are of the Wyrm.
Right. Which will end the cross-sphere plot arc real quick if they have no reason to at least pretend to trust them.
That's not always the case. A common issue can solve some problems. But the cross over isn't meant to be frequent. You are discounting relations with NPC vampires in the Wolf City. If the wolves are stand still terms with the local vampires of their city, they might extend at least a bit to external vampires. Knowing they may or may not be a real threat at the time. Who knows.
