The sad truth is you just have to be able to see the pokemon on your radar. If you can see it you can capture it without going into anyone's backyard. So this joke, that has been repeated repeatedly, is really pitiful in the fact it doesn't actually represent the game at all.

I get this is free speech. I get this is only fanfic. The problem with this is that it takes a specific mindset to actually actively engage in this. And while, and I have no doubt about it, there maybe some people who are able to write about this in a purely clinical view point, meaning they don't find it arousing or sexual, even if they are writing about it. Most of the writers from those kinds of sites are more than likely involved in the "Scene" as it were. It would be like writing about a BDSM novel and not really being part of the scene. You are probably missing something that would show if someone in the scene wrote the same novel.

But, more importantly, I think that allowing such things leads to temptation and that's a bad path.

I mean code wise all you would need would be a static npc obj or attribute. Then make various rolls to interact with it. Limiting it to say 1 roll per day. The more investment you cultivate the more blood or whatever your goal is that you get.. For example...

Hot chick.
+hunt hot chick
+hunt/act seduce --> You gain 0.1 investment

Rinse and repeat.

I'll poke in here and note that whether or not Kinfolk are second class citizens isnt a standard.

It varies based on tribe, auspice, personality, etc.

Some tribes, garou, auspices might argue that the litany only requires them do certain things but doesn't inherently make them in charge. "Cleaving to the mortal world" doesn't mean to treat kinfolk like baby farms who dont count, but could also mean to cleave to their wisdom and respect them for their burden to be the parents of children who they will inevitably have to see go off to fight with a life expectancy of less than 10 years post-change.

W:tA, like all WoD, is subject to the whims and interpretation of the people who play it, but nowhere in the books does it state these things to be standards.

It is absolutely possible that a pack could bind around a Kinfolk as the heart and soul of their pack.

I imagine the Tribes most likely to treat Kinfolk as 2nd class to be: Get of Fenris, Shadow Lords, Red Talons, Silver Fangs, and maybe Uktena

But could I see Wendigo, Black Furies, Children of Gaia, and Glass Walkers honoring their kinfolk at higher levels? Totally.

Red Talons don't have human kinfolk, that survive...

I would argue, in their case, that's probably the most accurate reason. They prefer the feral life, and while female wolves are valuable to the pack, they are just animals and the Talons tend to defer to their animalistic nature more oft than not. So in this one case, that's probably the most correct portrayal of what a female Kinfolk would be doing.. Which is why most games don't allow Talon Kinfolk.

So.. Vampire Academy?

The problem with Tokyo is the LAS syndrome and people using stereotypes far to easily. With London, or anyother city they are vaguely less stereotyped. I blame anime for this more than anything.

I don't think that was the purpose. When you play on a MUSH set in the middle ages, you can't just whip out a cellphone. It's a matter of setting. Remember that the Shadow Hunters are Angelic Half-Breeds. And while it leaves some room for interpretation, the Clave was founded back during the dumber ages of Christianity. And while the clave states they are beyond mundane religion, they still cling to some of the standards.

To me, I compare it the oWoD Werewolves. Gay is ok, just don't forget about your duty to race, breed bitch, breed. So while being gay was ok, if you didn't flaunt it. And that's kind of how I take the shadow hunter view.

It's ok to be gay. Just don't flaunt it, and if you are gay, still make with the babies.
