[Ethnicity Thread] Who Do You Think You Are?

This is an odd thread. But it's gotten this far without devolving into a helter-skelter racewar, so I'm ready to wade in.
I remember almost quoting this right after it was posted, because I was marveling at how generally sane this had been for a long stretch and that seemed worthy of praise, but a little voice in the back of my head said, "It won't last, it won't last, this will end in fire as do all such things on the Internet. Don't jinx it while it's still pretty civil."
So it goes. The early posts are still surprisingly decent given the subject-matter and the general incitement level of Internet People, though.
-
I think some of you are a little too conflict-adverse. Even with Cirno's posturing, this thread isn't all that bad.
-
It's worth mentioning as well that the shots were fired at me first.
I merely refused to submit to Mighty Whitey, armed though they may be with scarewords and hostility.

non-African-Americans have also stood hand in hand with African-Americans and protested.
So?
As far as I (and other Afro-Americans of my persuasion) are concerned, we do not want them there, nor did we beg them for help.
They are unnecessary and ambiguous.
You leave out the fact that Black on Black crime has been an epidemic going back twenty or more years.
This is a Classic Red Herring trotted out whenever Afro-Americans rebel against their circumstance.
It doesn't matter, and you should not mention it. It is none of your business; in fact, mentioning it makes you seem like a disinterested racist person.
It's a myth - a distraction - a lie.
And, quite frankly, we're sick and tired of having "black-on-black" crime thrown in our faces. Cop slayings and white-on-black homicides are far more injurious.
No, please, continue. I liked it when you mentioned an insane black person in the hopes of frightening me.
It's a Thing; whenever an Afro-American mentions a radical figure, the Opposition then mentions some totally insane black person, like, for example, Joseph Kony, or General Butt Naked.
Being a proactive black person does not mean that I want to skin white people alive and eat their infants. You may notice that @HelloRaptor played the "Enemy" gambit first, not I.
-
Marginalizing a black person's opinions as "froth" really makes you seem like a wonderful human being, HR.
In no world is noting that posting a link as evidence of something that the link is nothing like or the exact opposite of marginalizing anything, it's pointing out that you're either wildly mistaken or trolling.
You can go two for two and grandstand about how I've failed to make any point whatsoever
I freely acknowledged more than one of your points. If not agreeing with all of them counts as grandstanding about your failures, regardless of you supporting some of those points with (again) links that entirely undercut those points, then I suppose you'd be right.
I have not been engaging in a debate - merely laying bare my own internal feelings about my condition, but, of course, you were too busy going for my throat.
I haven't been engaging in debate either, just discussion. That you can't tell the one from the other is another of those failures of yours I'm so keen on pointing out, I guess.
And, because it really bears mentioning more than just two times, the only thing I 'went for your throat' on was either an amazingly stupid mistake or you being a troll. Given how often you're the latter, how often you've reveled in being the latter, I erred on the side of you just being an asshole.
But you're either mistaken, or you're wrong, and that you can't even admit it's either of those things is just making you look like more of a troll.
Thanks. I appreciate you and your efforts. You imply there was something at stake here for me; I put it to you that you are wrong.
I would even go as far as to put it to you that I expected indifference and hostility in your response: since when have white people ever affirmed the hardship Afro-Americans and the African Diaspora experience?
Never. I'd be a fool to expect you to act otherwise.
So just trolling all the way down, then.
It was hardly as cut-and-dry as HR would have us think. I had been following that unfortunate woman's case since it made headlines.
I didn't say anything about anything being cut-and-dry, nor did I say anything about the woman's case. I pointed out that China's legal system is notoriously brutal to everyone and executions of both native citizens and foreigners accused of smuggling are notoriously out of control.
The article posted (nor any of the others I looked up before writing my reply) mentioned absolutely nothing, from anyone anywhere, about the execution being racially motivated. No accusations of China's bias against black skin or African descent, not even a passing mention of her being an outsider weighing in on one side or another.
The only thing that's 'cut and dried' is that the only assertion that this woman's execution had anything to do with the color of her skin or the continent of her origin, comes from Cirno. It's pretty fucking shitty to twist the bullshit execution of a human being so that it looks like it supports your argument, when it doesn't.
Did I miss anything, @Cirno? Because I looked, when you first posted it, because I had no idea there was any specific hostility against black people in China (outside of the general racism towards anyone who isn't Chinese) and wondered if maybe you just chose a bad link to support your point. And I looked again before posting this, because fuck maybe my google foo was poor, and I'm wrong. Does anyone except you mention anywhere on the internet that this woman's execution was motivated or complicated by the color of her skin? If they do, then fuck me, I will write up the most amazingly heartfelt apology to you.
But if not, fuck you for being such a disgusting little troll that you'd use a woman's execution just to provoke peole on a gaming forum.

So this is a thread about racism now? This is a genuine question, as I've been too busy to keep track. Sorry.
-
I cringe at even an incidental mention of General Butt Naked. Nobody wins there.
-
It was a matter of time before someone mentioned him, given the circumstances; figured I might as well bite that particular bullet.
O captain, my captain, I have lost control of my own thread.
I accept full responsibility; I allowed it to happen. I am as culpable as anyone else ITT. I apologize.
This is aimed at no one in particular, nor is it confined to this one corner of the Internet: I see it crop up in news website comment sections and MLP websites like fimfiction.net.
It's passé to call black people niggers on the Internet. It's something out-of-touch elderly folks, and 11-year-olds who just discovered the magic word do.
What you do is...when someone begins a post with "I am black and X, Y, Z,", you call them a troll.
You can also throw in a "fuck you" for good measure; never pass up an opportunity to talk shit to people of different races than yourself on the Internet.
-
Listen, brosap, you seem to have confused a thing, here.
I'm not provoking people on a Gaming forum.
I was attempting - before you verbally savaged me - to probe the latent hostility East Asians (Chinese included) display towards Afro-Americans.
You feel my discussion of the executed woman fails to make headway? Fine. Shall we talk about Latasha Harlins instead? She was gunned down in 1992 by a Korean woman.
I spend a lot of time on Expat forums; places where people who have emigrated to foreign locales meet. I have noticed that black people who travel to East Asian nations tend to complain bitterly about their treatment by the natives.
Originally, I was also speaking generally on how all the world is uniquely horrible to black people, but you decided to Do A Thing and ignore my salient point, instead.

Blacks are lower on the ethnic totem pole than whites in the Chinese trail of racism. The lowest currently are the Japanese, then the blacks, then whites, then Koreans. (I'm not sure where the Cambodians and Vietnamese lie on this spectrum.) Bizarrely, however, Indians are increasingly being placed on a pedestal. There's some very interesting stuff happening with the co-opting of Indian culture here.
That being said, Blacks used to be the lowest of the low in foreigner terms here. Now they're barely below whites. Ten years ago it was almost impossible for a black English teacher to get a job in any private school, for example; only the state-run schools would even look at them. Nowadays a white guy with tatoos would be rejected over a black candidate. In the early 2000s there were riots in Nanjing over black guys dating Chinese girls. Now it's almost, but not quite, chic to be seen going out with black guys.
So the Chinese are currently slightly more racist to blacks than they are to whites. But … American blacks I know here stay in China (many of them for longer than I've been here, which is scary) because they're treated with more respect here than in the USA.
-
This sounds like an exoneration of China, until you recall that the USA formerly enslaved black people, and had the nice little KKK organization running rampant.
Of course China treats black people marginally better than the USA. They also did not enslave black people. I am not lulled into a false sense of security about this.
The crumbs the Chinese throw to us fail to impress me.
If the business you mention of black people impregnating Chinese nationals continues, however, I forecast a Chinese nationalist organization arising in the near future, expressly formed to combat this sort of thing.
Miscegenation, or, irrational fear of it drives people to insane lengths; protecting that pure blood above all can cause some serious damage. It was not for nothing that black men were once lynched for even so much as glancing at white females.
I will be impressed when China hires a black General of the People's Army, or a black Premier. Then you can say they're progressing.

You realize this is unacceptable, right? This behavior on their part is totally unacceptable. You are making my case for me.

They're just staying because of the sideways vagina(or cock). Some black people are ignorant enough to accept bad treatment in return for crumbs off Master's table.

Because "the Chinese trail of racism" is such an exonerating statement. And you wonder why anybody sane thinks you're just a troll.

And you have been forced to concede the field in favor of my overriding point that your little Eastern friends do, in fact, harbor hostility towards my people.
Fucking riots and everything.
You yourself are less than pleasant and cordial towards black people; "a black thing"? Seriously? I begin to understand why you think Chinese racism towards black people is a cool and acceptable bean.
-
Seriously, if you're going to troll at least develop the skills. The desire to troll is scummy enough. The inability to learn even the most basic of techniques, however, means you're even lower: you're an incompetent troll. (This is especially tragic when trolling is such a simple skill.)

Sorry, your diversionary tactic has failed.
Chinese hostility towards black people; you were forced to admit it is real, and virulent. It is not a "black thing"; it is a Problem.Stay on target.
"We're too close!"
Stay on target.

Admit your failure.
You have been forced to admit my conclusion regarding Chinese hostility towards my people; flailing won't help.
Learn to deal with failure. This is serious business; playing the troll card does nothing to me.
I do not have ADHD. You won't divert my attention. -
We'll talk when you've learned your art. Right now you're just an embarrassment to the good name of trolls everywhere.
-
No, we can talk about Chinese discrimination towards black persons right now, actually.
Far from seeming erudite and clever, you are merely exuding a sick stench of fear and terror, in the face of my crushing victory.
You must be sorely regretting ever trying to pretend Chinese racism is "a black thing", sir. If you keep backpedaling, you will trip.
