Why are there so many MUs set in Maine?

Just got a spam call from a Boothbay Harbor number. I blame you people.

I can't get this song out of my head thanks to your thread title, so I feel that is fair.

This made me think of visiting my boyfriend at State College, PA (yeeears ago) and it was an Eagles game day - the drunk frat boys screaming E - A- G- E- S - EAGLES EAGLES EAGLES.
And every time they were out on their balcony screaming and misspelling it, I couldn't stop laughing.

That sounds right, and also Eagles games are penny ante shit compared to Penn State games in that town. WE ARE!

Are people aiming for the old colonial time history with spooky, desolate woods to go with it? I totally get why no one chooses NH though. UNH is there and screw those losers.
COME DOWN HERE AND FITE ME.

My only memory of the time I was in State College (all of a weekend) was getting really high and being introduced to a place that puts stuff like onion rings and fries on its sammiches.

I kinda wish we had some more games set outside of the US, personally, but I understand with the demographic why that's not the case.

Hear, hear. But there are so few European players that getting a player base for one would take considerable effort and it would still have to cater dis-proportionally to a US audience. I can't imagine what it'd be like, MU*ing from Asia or Africa or even South America sometimes.

To be honest, if it is was built I would consider going. Haunted Memories was a lot of fun and was set in Vienna. I would prefer, however, if the staff in charge of the setting and theme were also from the area because I honestly want to feel the culture.

Oh, have we moved on from bitching about there being too many PNW games? Does that mean I can open another game set in Washington, State without someone concern trolling with a "constructive" conversation about "why are there so many games set in the PNW?".
-
@cobaltasaurus i wouldn't hold your breath!

Will there be a plot similar to that X-files episode where they go into the woods and discover those crazy ass bugs?
