Nick is either at Piper's or visa versa, or he's at the Memory Den in Goodneighbor.

Nope. He's somewhere near a bandit camp northwest of a lake. I told him to wait... then forgot to go back and get him.

What do you find are mods that would make the game world more "interesting"? I can decide if I think it's interesting, but I can't start without recommendations. Start from the heart.

There aren't really good mods out and won't be until, mmm, 2-6 months after the GECK lands, and the really good stuff'll be probably 2020 judging by Skyrim. I'm still waiting on AWAKE to get released. Also, using the Nexus Mod Manager without even LOOT up and running yet feels like barbarism.

I'm mostly in your camp that F4 is...nngh. If the main storyline was almost anything else, it'd be fine, but it's A) very high-pressure (despite that you're going to spend the vast, vast, vast, vast bulk of the game wandering around and doing random stuff) and B) wants a level of emotional investment it doesn't adequately sell you on. I thought Skyrim did a great job with the main quest because it's not clear there's a real urgency and the steps are always presented fairly vaguely, so if you take a break for a hundred hours it's not a huge issue. I would care less if there WAS no main storyline and it was just like "here's the Wasteland, have fun." I try to pretend that's true when I can. Maybe I should just rush the stupid questline and get it done, but it doesn't want to be rushed. Honestly realistically I'm just mostly gonna keep playing Skyrim until TESVI comes out in let's say 2018.

Still! There's stuff. Armorsmith Extended lets you do way more with armor and your outfit, which is completely vital to my life.

Better Settlers does what it says on the tin.

Crafting Workbenches let me make my own ammo, which saves a ton of time hating everything.

Followers Aren't Loot Critics is probably best mod 2016, it makes all your followers ditch those fucking lines where they're like "even though we all live in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and survive only by scavenging and salvage, it is SO WEIRD AND CONTEMPTIBLE that you keep picking up desk fans lol."

Weapon Balance Overhaul isn't perfect, but it makes a lot more playstyles viable and helps to slot the various weapons into roles. Also makes the game more lethal in both directions because everything gets a damage upgrade.

Crossbows of the Commonwealth is really cool.

I haven't touched this in a while. I heard the first robot DLC isn't really worth the 10 bucks in cost. Haven't had a reason to go back recently. So I guess my question right now is if there's any mods on XB1 that we were told were going to be on there.

            MUSH-free since 02/2017

This may or may not change in the future.

Most of what I've seen people say is it was a pretty fun bit of DLC. They like the variety of things you can make robots out of, and the story tied to it was short but good along with having a pretty solid final dungeon for it. I generally agree with that.

I don't know if $10 as a standalone price is worth it, no, but as part of the season pass? Especially if you bought it before the price went up? Absolutely worth it.

Yeah I am enjoying the DLC but I also bought the season pass before it went up in price.

I like how you can take certain robot parts and turn them into weapons and whatnot, there's a lot of fun to be had with the DLC beyond the somewhat brief story part.

I have been playing the survival mode beta, and, it's pretty damned brutal. I've died more times playing the survival mode beta... unfortunately they're pretty heavy handed on when you can save, and sometimes there's not a lot of opportunities to save, which is a pity because you can run into a molotov cocktail to the face and suddenly lose a pretty significant chunk of time.

That said... it's also a lot more fun than regular mode for me. It's difficult, challenging, I can't just kill everything I run into, I have to run away, hide, make smart choices of what I can and cannot attack, building a character in my standard fashion has been /rough/ but that's ok, I find companions stealthing when I do which is helpful, and they also provide very good distractions.

I'm not to terribly keen on them shortening the sleep day to 14 hours instead of 24 but, needing to sleep, eat, and drink is a great touch from an RP perspective and adds to immersion.

It can detract from the 'urgency' of the main storyline though, as you can't just blitz from one place to another. Even mole rats are a threat if you try to just stand in the middle of the pack and gun them all down.

Movement is a much bigger issue, as is cover, getting out of the line of fire, making the enemy move in ways you want them to to try and control the field of battle and where you engage them.

It's rough, and dungeons are... pretty damned scary. Even trying to do Corvega can be rough and I am dreading the synth dungeons, but... it is definitely more fun to me than easy mode normal play. I haven't found many fusion cores yet, and due to the weight changes I can't carry all that much to sell so my caps are lower than they were too.

Overall, greatly more entertaining for me though there are some moments of serious frustration when you eat a Molotov or someone throws a frag grenade while you are trying to stealth and you can't get away in time 🙂

So Fah Habah releases tomorrow. I am unsure if I want to play it on my current Survival play through, or as my high level post endgame bit.

Also, Survival mode is fucking brutal, especially with my Str/End of 3 each.

Survival Mode makes Fallout 4 more than a walking simulator, for me. I experienced my first Death By Crashing Vertibird yesterday and laughed my twinkies off.

@Lithium, the secret is to 'over-sleep'. That is, if you see a sleeping bag, hit it up for one hour and keep going.

@Thenomain I know about sleeping bags, when I see one I use one, but there are stretches where you don't come across any, and that can be really painful 🙂 Even better than the sleeping bag is the random mattress so you can get a good sleep in cuz using just a sleeping bag for to long comes with it's own negatives.

In FO:NV, there was a sleeping bag as an award for finishing the Lonely Road DLC, but the game was more challenging/realistic/"immersive" without hitting survival mode.

Okay after trying for a little while this evening I couldn't get all the mods to work together. It might be conflict with some of the other stuff I have running. Hope to do more this weekend and maybe get some screen caps to post. Unless I get Stellaris. Then FO will get forgotten...
