@Coin Are you more used to a controller, is that why you got one for the PC instead of using a mouse+keyboard?
I've found that for third person action games I really really enjoy a controller over a mouse+keyboard.
I've owned an XBone for a year+ now and I still can't say I like using a controller. For just about anything...other than sports games, maybe.
Part of it is probably because I grew up on gaming on the original xbox, PC has only been my game system for about five years now.

That is a pretty good description for Battle Brothers, actually. Although the combat maps are not as complex as X-Com, the combat is just as strategic in a lot of ways. I like the aesthetic the developer went with and the game is just a lot of fun.
-
I've played Battle Brothers since it hit Early Access. Great devs. Definitely support them. They are an example of Early Access done right. I highly encourage anyone who likes those kind of games to give them a go.

Went back and played through Witcher 3 after not touching it for more than a year. Gave me a chance to play through Blood and Wine which left me extremely satisfied in terms of how DLCs should be. Dare I say it's more an expansion given the size and scope than a DLC itself.
If there was ever anything bad I could say about that game, it's the fact that it ends, and now leaving me with placing that game as the gold standard by which everything else should be judged.
There's just nothing to play right now for me. At least not until Prey comes out. Though I have been picking at a couple of indie Metroidvania type games that seem interesting. Axion Verge for instance.

Friday the 13th comes out at the end of the month.
If people wanna get together on PS4 and have a Jason vs. MuPeople hangout, I'd be game.
-
I can say that CDPR knows how to do expansions. I get the feeling their idea of DLC is the freebies they gave away before Hearts of Stone dropped.
-
@Monogram Finishing Witcher 3 was like having a close friend move away. That game was awesome, I wish Total Recall was real, and I could edit those memories out of my head just so I could play that game for the first time again.
-
@SG
I agree. And the expansions was pretty much that friend coming back to visit for a week before telling you that it will be the last time they can come back. -

Chicks vomiting on you after sex FTW.

I've been playing FFXV. There's a game here, unlike FF 12 or 13, but A) Prompto should've been the focus character and B) my god is this plot rolling out slowly, what the fuck is this Evil Empire DOING, considering they can track me everywhere I go that isn't in a town?

Wut?

@Jaded play heart of stone.
-
Oh! I did. I forgot that part lol. I just could not place the context at first.
-
So because of a sale I, er, just now started playing Wolfenstein: New World Order.
It's...it's good. It's very good.
-
New Blood is also good, and the sequel that was showcased at E3 looks like it is going to be just as fun.
-
@Jaded I enjoyed Old Blood quite a bit until the end boss.
-
The new wolfenstein was a very satisfying game. I miss solid FPS campaigns.
-
@tragedyjones My friend who works at EA is saying the new star wars game they're putting out has a single player campaign. I'm pretty excited, a game that pretty should have some thought put behind it.

Did you play the first one?
No FPS storyline in the world could have saved it from mediocrity.
-
@Ganymede I played the beta and had fun with it for a few hours, but I found the map design was terrible--designed specifically to enable spawn camping. With a little care and thought, it could be a very fun single player game.
I wouldn't touch the multiplayer with a ten foot pole, but I could get behing a single player campaign.
