NOLA: The Game That Care Forgot

If someone has a strong idea for a concept and what they want to be good at I will legit write a sheet for them.
Mekhet, Ordo Dracul. Obsessed with bloodbourne pathogens and diseases. Looks like below:
Neveah is pale and wane. Her skin holding the impossibly smooth quality of a wax sculpture. The dark circles under her eyes are only emphasized by the heavy lining of kohl that causes her blue eyes to be ever so intense. She wears a smile like a deranged evangalist; too wide, full of teeth and eagerness to consume. The tilt of her head is always ever so slightly down as if she suffered from an ever present twitch. As if she were eternally sick or overexerted the ghost of sweat haunts her hair with a greasy, clumpy quality; it hangs in a dark pallor to her chin.

I might pop my head in but I have to figure out nWoD rules on vampires. Unless I go warwilf. Or mortal.
I'm probably gonna pop my head in. Just gotta... figure something out.

@Rinel There are also Bee vampires.

@Rinel There are two religious sects in VtR, the Circle of the Crones (basically every pagan religion banded together to be numerous enough to not burn wholesale for heresy separately) and the Lancea et Sanctum, a splinter of Catholicism that believes Longinus (the dude who stabbed Jesus with a spear) is the vampire antichrist and that all vampires are, by their nature, Damned. It's their job to sin a bunch and to punish mortal sinners and to be an example of what not to do.
Also don't read the in-game book of theirs if you're squeamish about non-consensual sex acts and...basically just everything someone might put into an Aristocrats joke but played straight as if it were the most serious, badass shit ever.
Uh. Are there any ones who aren't, you know... awful?

they're vampires
the whole point is being awfulI mean there's the Ordo Dracul who basically worship Dracula and their whole deal is becoming super badass mutants so they can get to heaven and spit in the face of God
....but they perform mad science experiments on mortals and each other so they can become mutants
I mean they're all vampires.
They're evil. -
I like the Salubri :<

Lance dogma taken to it's extreme can be pretty awful, but the average newbie vamp who ends up in the Lance does so because they're the only covenant who really offers a reason 'why'.
The Circle will tell you that vampires have always existed and are as natural as anything else, get over it.
The Ordo Dracul cares more about what comes next than why.
The Invictus and Carthians are more interested in political power and money etc.The Lance will tell you that unfortunately you're Damned, and God hates you now, but you know what? There's still a place for you in The Plan and even God NEEDS someone to be Damned.
For someone who's had their life literally turned upside down and found themselves a blood drinking creature of the night, I imagine that can be kind of comforting, and the average quite Lance member just wants to 'live' their Requiem in peace and doesn't shy away from the fact they need to drink blood now and again, or even if they frenzy and accidently kill a person or three, they can use their faith to find their footing and kind of justify it. Or at least cope with it. It's awful, sure, because they are monsters.
They don't have to be super awful and monstrous though. Plenty might, as time goes on, but at a basic level it's a simple message.

All and none. It is a matter of perspective.

Ordo aren't inherently awful. They are the most likely to do SCIENCE and whatnot. Their coils used to be about lessening the curse by varying degrees, I'm not 100% sure if that is still the case.

They are.
But that's part of why they're awful because those Coils require performing mad science on mortals, other supers, or themselves. -
I see it like there are kind of opposing pairs focused on politics or secular belief systems, one that is Traditionalist (Invictus) and one that is Revolutionary (Carthians). Then a pair of opposed covenants revolving around religious or philosophical beliefs, where one is Orderly (Lance and its echoes of Catholicism) and one is Chaotic (Circle and its ragtag band of assorted pagans). And then, the odd man out, the Ordo Dracul is based on Science and the sole of the base five covenants which doesn't really have an opposing force.

But the natural state of a vampire is a ravening, blood-hungering monster and every moment you get where you aren't that is a hard-won victory.
See, I like this. What I don't like, and I guess it's just the reason Vampire isn't the sphere for me, is how even at level 10 humanity you're an awful creature. Is there really no room for Kindred who go off and suck cow blood? I know in VtM the vitae is less potent, but whatever. There are a lot of cows.
I think what I'm looking for is something like the Sharia El-Sama or Road to Heaven. But in VtR. I like the idea of becoming a not-total-monster being an almost impossible task, but the heavy emphasis here is on "almost."
ANYWAY the setting is what it is, so I'm gonna quit bitchin' and start learning about warwilfs.

I guess I shouldn't talk about how easy it is to become a terrible monster as a WW too. >.>
I mean it's not as inherent as vampire.
or as common
it's just really fun. >.>Look, on most games everyone is so Team Good that sometimes I wanna go on WoD and just like, run around as a wolf and eat people.

There is! Crones have a specific title for people who have not murdered anyone, even. It's all in how you do you, as usual.
I just. REALLY wish they had done Vampire as that Harmony/Clarity sliding scale. Ditto Mage. And I HOPE Mummy has it, too.
